The place is situated between a housing area and a green hilly area, and it is near the Taiping Lake Garden.
My room is located at the ground floor of the main building. There are a few guest rooms there, and they are adjacent to the lobby, the public toilets and the meeting/conference room. The noise that I can hear in my room, from time to time and throughout the day and night, is clear and loud. This qualify as the opposite of tranquillity. Those rooms should be soundproofed with PROPER sound absorbing material. Whoever in charge that have not thought of this in the first place certainly lack foresight.
The design in my room is good, and it is clean.
The bathroom floor is very slippery when it's wet ; but the signage to caution guests and the non-slip slipper placed just outside of the bathroom is a good solution. However, small and medium size of those non-slip slippers should also be placed there, and not only of big size. Guests of much smaller feet would not be able to wear those big size slipper.
One design which is plain ridiculous for a room at the ground floor is the window in the bathroom (I can see the street lamp post from where I take my shower). How can the guests, especially the more conservative ladies, take their showers with sufficient peace of mind with such strangely situated window at a ground floor bathroom ? Whoever design this lack common sense. However, I think its remedy is relatively simple. Just have those windows PROPERLY tinted and have a signage informing the guests that, so they may have their peace of mind.
The 3 stars are given for its saving grace, which is the green environment and landscape outside of the rooms in which we can take nice mini strolls, and also their well-mannered staff ❤️.
