We enjoyed every dish. The food is creative, simple but flavourful. The price is on the higher end and the portion is small. The place was continent near the city and accessible to the public transport options. We had a good time there speaking with the waitress who can speak Japanese.

Extremely satisfied with this place! We've been lucky to find it during our only night staying in Oslo. A great tasting menu, allowing us to discover some Norwegian specialties, the staff was super friendly, and the quality of the cuisine was superb. The place looks good... Well, that's a home run! Not too pricey neither (it's not cheap, but you have a great value for the price)!

Had a fantastic pizza here tonight. Shame it was our last night in Oslo or we’d definitely be back. Lovely staff, lovely welcome and fantastic use of the old bank. Really interesting space. Have a nose around if you can!

Google
Incredible food, and very reasonably priced. Generous portions — three sharing plates per person is plenty! The service was very slow — we had to wait 30 minutes between courses — but the amazing food (almost) made up for it completely.

Google
Realy nice meal, small courses with fresh ingredients. We had great beet tartar, amazing skrei cod with purree and green aples. Good choice of natural wines, unfortunately sparkling wine was served too warm. Service could be more aware, empty plates stayed on the table for such a long time. And I missed a possibility to choose a coffee, you can get only a cup full of "dirty water"

Google
Upscale, small-plates, sharing-style restaurant but without the snobby feel. Servers are young, exuberant, and know the menu well. Food is unique and experimental; they put together ingredients in ways I haven't seen or thought of before but somehow work together with strong and vibrant individualistic flavors. Ate here several times and saw the dishes change and evolve over a short time. With sharing, prices are reasonable for Oslo and some portions, particularly the meats, were more substantial. The decor is a mix of old, classy, and exposed industrial (an old bank vault is next door, but stainless steel restroom sinks). Overall, one of the most memorable places in Oslo, for dining or conferences. Make a reservation.

Google
Sentralen delivered an unforgettable night of culinary excellence. The oysters with jalapeño were a refreshing, spicy twist, and their pizza was the perfect balance of crispy and flavorful. The pasta? Simply divine, with textures and tastes that left me craving more. Every dish was presented beautifully, making the experience both visually and gastronomically satisfying. Sentralen is a must-visit for anyone seeking top-notch cuisine in Oslo!

Google
I came here for dinner and absolutely love it. The decor and ambiance is what I would describe as industrial chic and relaxed. There is an open kitchen and nice music and the wait staff is super nice. The menu has a bunch of small shared plates so you can easily eat 2-3 by yourself. The 6 course tasting menu costs around 650 krona and individual dishes range from 100 to 300 each. The food is super yummy. I got the avocado and jalapeño dish as well as the smoked beetroot with egg yolk. They were divine. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's orchestra concert and the room was beautiful! The building was just a quick walk away from the metro center and I was immediately impressed by the buildings design. The chairs we sat in we quite comfortable and after the concert I headed into the restroom. I was shocked by the vibrate orange in the room! The sinks had orange faucets which matched the bright red/orange in the toilet stalls. Would highly recommend checking out the bathroom here if you get the chance.

Yelp
Very nice place, food and coffee are so delicious. I really recommend it! Stuff is more than friendly, ambient is super modern and on nice location.

Yelp
Service was unfortunately really bad and the waitress was irritated, rude and forgot almost everything and did not even wait to hear our order to the end. This restaurant only has 3 main courses on the menu and one was not available!!!!! Leaving vegetarian celery root and a fish course. I am allergic to fish leaving the celery root for my main course. The fish came out - but not my dish. We where told that it was technical issue in the kitchen.... Then I finally got my dish.... what an disappointment - it did taste good but hello... It was smaller than the side dishes and only with five 3-4 cm bites of celery root for 230kr. I left the restaurant hungry and sad. The hole experience was disappointing.

Yelp
Food: We both ordered the meat selection of the day which was a cut of lamb with creamed potatoes, leek, and gravy sauce. It was delicious! The flavors were so unique and interesting. It was light and flavorful, everything combined so nicely. The portion was decently sized, not excessive or small. Service: our waitress was amazing! She explained the menu to us and took great care of us. Ambiance: beautiful restaurant in a great neighborhood! The inside is very big, I'm pretty sure there's an entire separate room with a bar. The kitchen is open, so you can watch them cook the food:) Price: average price for Oslo. About $20 a plate (200 NOK). Other dishes were a little more, but I'm sure it's worth it for the high quality. Overall: loved it! Would totally come back.

Yelp
Came alone on a week night. Service was excellent and the food was exactly what I was looking for. I would describe it as new Nordic cuisine. The menu was innovative, fun, and with local ingredients. Sentralen had a great vibe. As part of the complex is also the cafe which has its own entrance. I found the prices to be reasonable for a nicer restaurant. I would also recommend dessert. It was small, simple, and a nice finish to a meal.

Yelp
COZY. AFFORDABLE. HOMEMADE If you are looking for a cozy little cafe in the busy streets of Oslo, look no further. Sentralen offers homemade pastry, salad, soup, bread, and desserts. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, especially around Christmas time like now. If you are tired from shopping or just want to sit down and have a chat with your friends, Sentralen is the place to go. I deducted one star because the coffee cup for my latte was chipped around the mouth. It never hurts to pay attention to details.

Yelp
What a great restaraunt! Gourmet prepared plates!!! For the vegetarian it is a bit tricky-you will have to forgo sauces as they have eggs in them but you may have a delicious avocado (ask to substitute olive oil) for the sauce and leave out the eggs...the beets were delicious,..and the caesar will work with olive oil and leaving off the meat. The place is beautiful with upbeat service and many interesting artists flock here as it is located in Olso's new cultural center! The coffee is pretty good but I do think that the cafe could make it's selections way more exciting-how about some ginger latte, tumeric, lavendar! Lattes!

Yelp
Actually one of the best meals of my life. I came here on my own and the waiter said that most people typically eat tapas style have have 2-3 plates each. I must be a light eater because (with a side of bread+butter), I would have been happy with a single plate as a light meal and was stuffed after two (each dish is about ~100 Kr). I started with the beetroot dish which had a nice subtle flavor (none of that powerful 'beetiness'. I followed with the duck heart which were perfectly cooked with nice crispy greens to go with. It came with a horseradish which was quite creamy without being overpowering. Service was friendly and attentive. Was here on a week night and the place was only half full around 8ish.

Yelp
Great food, nice ambiance, and kind waitstaff. The food was very good. Got several small plates and shared them around. Each plate had a unique presentation and they were all very savory. The desserts are also delicious. A laid-back place for a nice meal with modern decor and good food.

Yelp
First of all, not as pricy as some would have you think. The only way your bill is going to go up a lot is if you drink a lot of beer, which you should, because they also have an excellent selection of beer. The food is great, really great, and if you think something is amiss give your feedback and they'll be sure to look into it. The menu changes from time to time so it's hard to recommend one dish, however, pretty much whateve you choose it's going to be a treat. My personal favorites were the ox tounge and venison tartare. Staff is polite and service minded, and will give that extra effort to make sure you have a nice night. Dishes are meant to be shared, so order a bunch of different stuff!

Yelp
Loved this place. Extremely tasty! I think my favorite really was the dessert. When we went in, we were greeted by the host and there wasn't any wait. We had the menu for two. I can't recall the first shared meal but it was definitely delicious. Overall, as a travel, I would recommend.

Yelp
We shared 6 plates for 2 of us. The first 2 courses were the best, ham with truffle mayo and smoked beetroot with tarragon avocado and horseradish (fabulous) The fava bean and broccoli plates were not that memorable. We were getting full by the time the roasted fish (huge) arrived so couldn't finish it. We had a reservation at 6pm, arrived the place was quite empty When we asked to be seated away from the door we were told no, there were reservations. Well the place was not full when we left 1 1/2 hours later so not sure why we couldn't sit at another table

Yelp
Excellent! This is by far the best place we have been on our trip. All dishes made on the spot by a very good chef. Prepare your tastebuds. We had herring ceviche, the lamb and the salmon ; the chocolate cake and lemon custard for dessert.

Kay C.

Yelp
The food here was nothing short of delicious. We had the beets, the avocado, the mozzarella, the char and the lamb dishes. Each dish was meticulously and beautifully arranged. The flavors were thoughtful and the texture of each dish was amazing. The portions were very good for tapas, with enough to share of each plate amongst the three of us. The server was right; 2-3 dishes per person was perfect. The desserts of the frozen yogurt with lemon curd and the compté were so flavorful and a wonderful way to close out our dining experience. This little gem is not easy to find, but every bit worth the journey.

Yelp
Had a great night out last night. Since we were a group of seven, we got to try pretty much everything on the menu. Everything was excellent! The wine was great. Even the service was superb. Easily recommended!

Yelp
We anticipated this dinner as this restaurant was recommended in the guide and had 41/2 starts in Yelp. The building is notable, big and nice, with an industrial and modern look. Besides the restaurant there are spaces for bars and events rooms. We had the 6 course fix price sharing menu. The food style is "new nordic", meaning a fusión of local fresh food with international influences. The food is served tapas style but good portions, very good, and although a bit pricey is reasonable for this level of restaurant. We had a fish carpaccio, steak tartare, fish, pork, cheese, and frozen ice cream, all delicious and interestingly prepared. The venue and modern in a premium location in Oslo. The only negative comment is that the background music was too loud and actually not very inspiring, mostly being hip-hop and music that you would expect to hear in a lounge late at night. Please fix that and the dining experience would deserve five starts.

Yelp
ate here alone after wandering around Oslo. They said I might get a table or I might not because they will close in an hour. People in front of me left because they didn't think they would be seated, so I was the lucky last customer they had that day. got the salmon/trout (it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside) and smoked eel with cauliflower (the sauce on this was like crack) WOOWWWWWW!! portions were tiny. i didn't think I'd like norwegian food but I must say this is dining on another level. There were tastes I never experienced before

Yelp
New opened place in Oslo, which became already trendy. Impossible to find place during lunch. Food look nice, but taste is a little bit worse.. Especially smoothie, don't take it, the worst one I've tried in my life; and Ive tried quite many smoothies.. Kannelbolle was strange in taste, didn't taste like the real one fresh baked.

Yelp
Dinner was delicious. Two of us shared 6 small plates and a dessert and were well fed. Every dish was creative and tasty. The smoked beets and the ceviche were especially nice. The presentations were all beautiful as well. We showed up Monday night without a reservation and it was no problem.

Yelp
Went to this restaurant as it came highly recommend for food but was severely disappointed and angry by how we were treated. I am Indian and my fiancé is American. We had been walking all day and then decided to go to this restaurant to end the day. We perhaps were not dressed very classy due to it. We didn't have a reservation. 2 couples who were white in front of us were seated immediately. 1 had a reservation and 1 did not. There were at least 6 tables open. We asked to be seated and were told nothing is available. We were confused but said ok and put our name down for a reservation in 45 minutes. As soon as we left hoping to come back in 45 minutes another old white couple literally in front of us said this place looks good let's try it. They walked in and were seated immediately despite not having a reservation. We decided not to eat here anymore. Was race or class involved? You be the judge
