Seokchon Lake

Didn’t plan to stay long, but I ended up walking for hours. The lake, the breeze, the colors, it all just pulled me in. Felt peaceful in a way I didn’t know I needed.

There is a walkway around the lake. Very good ambience for spending hours by just walking around

Visited in April 2025, was told this is the first full cherry blossom bloom spot this season. Absolutely stunning. Quite crowded but doesn't stop us from appreciating the lovely flowers. 100% recommend.

This is a picturesque destination in Seoul, perfect for relaxation and scenic walks. Divided into eastern West Lakes. It offers stunning views especially during spring when cherry blossoms bloom and reflect beautifully on the water. This winter you can see events of the lights it called as illuminated. The working path around the lake are well-maintained making it ideal for jogging leisurely strolls or simply unwinding in nature. This area is family-friendly with nearby attractions like Lotte World and Lotte Tower adding to its appeal. Whether you are looking for a peaceful escapes in the city or a photo-worthy spot, Seokchon lake provides a serene atmosphere that’s loved by both locals and visitors. Don’t miss the seasonal events and light display which add charmed to this urban Oasis.

6 Nov 2024 Cool and sunny day. Cherry blossom trees are mostly yellow, red and brown and bolding. Leaves falling everywhere. Had a nice walk around the lake.

Seokchon Lake in Seoul is a fantastic spot for a nice stroll, especially in spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Unfortunately, I visited just as the season was wrapping up, so I missed the best views. The area has plenty of cafes and often hosts various events, making it a lively place to hang out. Overall, it’s a great spot to unwind and soak in some nature right in the middle of the city!

Beautiful lake! It gets very crowded during the full bloom of the cherry blossoms, which can be a bit frustrating. However, the view of the blossoms and the lake, both during the day and at night, is absolutely breathtaking.

It’s so beautiful with the cherry blossoms all full bloom and with the water and the Lotte Tower as a background (like a mountain), it’s really beautiful. And it’s good to be next to Lotte so that after the walk , one can get some food and retail therapy.
