The outdoor garden is quite well maintained but the indoor plants and flowers looks a bit disappointing and with the hot summer and lack of aircon , the indoor is a greenhouse effect. Not a good time to visit in summer. Feels there are potential to make it better and nicer. Need more ideas to make this work. No need to buy tickets in advance since there are few crowd.

What a lovely park many flowers and trees planted. Excellent walkways public bathrooms available. They do have a botomical garden that requires a ticket. There is a coffee shop that serves hotdogs. This is a very relaxing place. Water features and mist sprayers for the runners.

Seoul Botanical Garden is a botanical garden within a park where botanical gardens and parks are organically combined, and it is a special space where you can feel the comfort of nature and plants in the city. Seoul Botanical Garden is largely divided into four zones (Open Forest, Lake Garden, Wetland Garden, and Theme Garden), and each zone has its own unique characteristics, allowing you to feel four different colors in the botanical garden. In particular, the exhibition greenhouse located within the theme garden is the world's only concave plate-shaped greenhouse, and it exhibits native plants from 12 cities in the tropical and Mediterranean regions, allowing you to experience the unique plant culture of each climate zone. Among the Open Forest, Lake Garden, Wetland Garden, and Theme Garden, only the Theme Garden costs 5,000 won for adults, and the rest of the gardens are free. Except for the Theme Garden, the rest of the gardens do not have separate entrances, so you can conveniently access and use them. In particular, Everyone can easily find colorful Korean flowers. I hope you will take a break while appreciating the beautiful flowers of various shapes and colors. The botanical garden is a great place to relax, with its wide lake park, lawn, and hanok buildings.

Spectacular outdoor park with beautiful flowers and plants to see, and then a massive indoor greenhouse with tropical and Mediterranean plants. Admission is super cheap and worth it. Only takes about 2-3 hours to explore everything. Lots of walking but worth it on a nice day. If you love plants/gardening, I highly recommend. Foreigners can enjoy an audio guide as well. Note it is closed on Mondays. Recommend going to the visitor center on the opposite side of the park from the greenhouse first for a map.

Seoul Botanic Park.. hands down one of the coolest green getaways I’ve stumbled into! They’ve got safety signs (for the plants, not you how cute is that?), info-packed illustrations about every leafy friend, and it’s so clean you’d think the flowers were running the place. Trash cans? On every corner like loyal little guardians. Pet-friendly too, so bring your furry sidekick. Whether you’re rolling deep with family, catching up with a friend, or just vibing solo with nature it’s a total win. Oh.. and there’s a cozy starbs shop perfect for sipping something warm while you stare meaningfully at a cactus.

🌿 Overview & Layout Covering approximately 504,000 m² (about 70 soccer fields), Seoul Botanic Park is divided into four principal zones: the Open Forest, Theme Garden (including the Botanic Center greenhouse and Magok Cultural Hall), Lake Garden, and Wetland Garden . Open Forest, Lake Garden, and Wetland Garden are free and open 24/7. The Theme Garden (including the greenhouse) requires a ticket and has set hours—typically 09:30–18:00 from March to October, and 09:30–17:00 in winter. They close on Mondays . 🌸 The Botanic Center & Greenhouse Inside the Theme Garden sits the Botanic Center: a striking flower‑shaped greenhouse composed of ETFE panels and triangular glass façades . It houses over 3,100 plant species (with plans to reach around 8,000), each labeled and organized by regions like Mediterranean or Tropical zones . The Tropical Zone features orchids, palms, waterfalls, skywalk paths, and even baobab and Victoria water lilies. The Mediterranean Zone showcases olive trees, cacti, succulents, representing dry‑climate flora . A scenic skywalk observatory deck allows visitors to look down into the canopy from above, and there’s also the historic Magok Cultural Hall, a restored 1928 Japanese-era pump station now serving as an exhibition gallery .
