On the Grid : Seoul Tofu House

"Seoul Tofu House is a recent discovery and we've enjoyed its classic Korean dishes including hot stone bibimbap and tofu soup—both, both which come to the table mouth-scorching hot. Crack a raw egg and watch it cook in seconds, just don't touch the bowl." - Shore

I got the build-your-own bulgogi beef bowl here, which came with purple rice, roasted corn, kimchi, and yum-yum + hot sauce I found the bowl to be quite disappointing, and the main reason for that was the beef. For a place that markets its Korean BBQ bowls heavily, you kind of have to get the beef right. The fact that the beef is as bad as it was here shouldn't be acceptable at a place like this It was dry, tough, overcooked, and pretty much completely lacking flavor. I gave up halfway through the bowl because it didn't seem worth finishing As for the other parts on the bowl, the corn was fine, but a little excessive. I could barely taste the kimchi at all; and the purple rice didn't really taste like anything special It does end up being a pretty expensive meal, at about $17 for a lunch. In my opinion, there are much better places for less, even Korean places specifically. Overall, pretty disappointing for a relatively expensive bowl. 4/10

I tried the bbq chicken bowl and it was quite disappointing. The chicken was still pink inside and didn’t not have any bbq flavoring. I don’t think I will go here again.

Seriously the food is terrible and at the same time it’s boring to eat. I have to struggle so much with the first few bites and by the third bites I just wanna vomit and throw the food away and the kimchi is so sour and is not fresh. the ingredient are overcooked. Honestly the price is not cheap at all. So make sure to live up to the price u charge. I was so excited to bring my friends here and we were all so disappointed with the food. Seriously

I liked coming here after trying out their food from their mobile trucks at public events. Service was great, I enjoyed my build-a-bowl. I would not sleep on this restaurant, it is overall excellent. Will do business again.

It was really hard to find this place. Other reviews say it's a food truck, but apparantly they have moved into the building. They got this energy that made me feel welcomed and served. I had the BBQ chicken bowl, and it was authentic.

Quick and easy build your own Korean bbq. Good portions and price. The staff member that helped me and gave me recommendations was super nice! Flavor was good, the pickled radish was delish. Easy to get gluten free. Could use better signage outside as I walked past it.

Wings were pretty good, will have to try the bowl next time as that seemed like a better lunch option.

Google
Fantastic food, great service, and a totally fair price. They're known to hook it up too! Normally I don't blow up my spots but this place deserves to be way more popular than it is. Had nearly everything on the menu and it all slaps! Wouldn't know what to do with myself if we lost Seoul Bowl, we gotta support all we can. They do DoorDash too!

Yelp
I was in Seattle for a conference and wanted a quick bite to eat that wasn't standard hotel restaurant food. Seoul Bowl was close by and exactly what I was looking for! Service was fast, staff were very friendly, and the food was so good and high quality.

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch and grabbed a bowl to go. I basically just got whatever veggies that I was feeling and got the spicy pork for the meat. Everything tasted good, but I didn't like how the mashed potatoes were a little sweet. I also don't do well with spicy food so I think next time, I'll get a non-spicy choice of meat. Everything else was pretty good though.

Yelp
search "madeline's" on yelp in this same location for more reviews and photos. this is more like a double posted business location. the food is great though like expect chipotle level and style of bowl but korean food. really enjoyed it.

Yelp
Yum! I love customized meals. Pick your base, pick your protein, pick your toppings. If you go during lunch rush, you have time to study the menu - but not too long! They are efficient behind the counter. Do not miss the potstickers!

Yelp
Unsuspectingly great spot for Korean food on the go! Similar to chipotle, you can pick different bases like japchae, kimchi fried rice, purple or white rice and pick an assortment of toppings authentic to a Korean taste. Food was great and service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend getting the yum yum sauce to top off your bowl!

Yelp
The bowl is big. I usually will have it for two lunches. You can choose your base of noodles or rice. I like the noodle japchae the best. I like the spicy pork meat the best. There are so many toppings that you can choose or if you can't choose, you can take all of them!! This is the only place downtown that is worth spending money for lunch!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!
