This was the best Korean food in Cape Town for me. The food felt so clean but still delicious. We had the KFC and the Chicken Soup Dumplings. The KFC had an amazing crunch to it and the soup was hearty but surprisingly light and aromatic. The service is very good and it’s well priced as well. I will definitely be going again.

Authentic Korean Food. Sepial's has been on our list for quite some time, now that they are in Constantia its so much easier to visit as its 5km from our home. The Korean fried chicken and dumplings were my favourite. Great service with a personal touch when the owner came to check on our table.

From food to atmosphere, everything was 11/10. Very authentic compared to any other Korean restaurants (I’m Korean). If you want to try out proper Korean food in Cape Town, this is the place to be. Very relaxing, can’t wait to go back!

Sepials Kitchen never disappoints! Every meal feels like a hug - the new spot: In The Meantime is so cute & I can’t wait to see what else happens in this beautiful space! Highly recommend the chicken dumpling soup!

Went to Sepial's last night with 6 friends. Friendly welcome from Eun, classic decor and just generally a relaxed atmosphere. I had the Beef Bulgogi & rice which was delicious. We shared various starters and desserts. No complaints at all.

Really enjoyed the Korean fried chicken, the chicken was super crispy, sticky rice was a win and the spicy dipping sauce was fantastic. Unfortunately the galbitang broth was on the salty side and the meat was tough. Will be back to explore the rest of the dishes.

The Kimchi pancakes and macha ice cream with the little fish pastry was amazing! Small venue and menu but it does not take away from a great experience.

Stepping into Sepial’s Kitchen feels like walking into someone’s soul. There’s no other way to put it – it’s more than just a restaurant, it’s a living, breathing embodiment of love, flavour, and fierce authenticity. Chef Sepial has carved out something rare: a space where food becomes language, identity becomes nourishment, and every bite tells a story that you feel as much as you taste. As a fellow food creative, I’m endlessly inspired by Sepial’s bold commitment to heritage – unfiltered, un-compromised, and joyfully complex. Her dishes don’t whisper, they sing – fermented, spicy, deeply comforting, and wildly imaginative. From her kimchi to her ssam spreads to her unapologetically umami-forward broths, Sepial is schooling Cape Town on what Korean food really is – and why it matters. What strikes me most is her integrity. Sepial runs her kitchen like she lives her life – with precision, passion, and people at the centre. She uplifts her team, collaborates with artists and farmers, and fights for visibility in all the right ways. Her food is protest and poetry. It’s damn delicious and deeply meaningful. Sepial, your fire is rare. Your kitchen is a revolution. Thank you for nourishing us – not just with flavour, but with bravery. With huge respect and foodie love, Jade
