Why Adelaide Is Australia’s Most Exciting Food and Wine Destination

"Seppeltsfield winery's stylish restaurant focuses on seasonal dishes using local ingredients. One dish of charred rapini with broccoli flowers evoked the blooming rape-seed fields nearby. It offers lively vermentino and food-friendly nero d'avola, described as 'moreish.'" - Travel + Leisure Editors

I did the luxury wine tasting and it was excellent. We sampled four wines, along with a wine they classed as an “old fashioned,” which was a lovely surprise. The reds were the highlight for me I could have easily walked out with several bottles! Next time, I’ll definitely book into their restaurant, which offers a set four-course menu. The venue also has a small gin distillery and a wellness centre with handmade soaps and skincare products, which I’d love to explore more on my next visit. The scenery and buildings are beautiful, easy to get to, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting I’ll definitely be going back.

It was a recommendation from my sister in-law to my wife that we had to visit here with our friends on this trip. This is definitely a beautiful place, we first had a quick bite and the cafe then attended the wine tasting. Our host was Russell and he was magnificent. After I advised him that I don't drink wine so there was only going to be 3x of us tasting wines, he offered their excellent cordial. So it was just my Mrs and our friends going to taste their wines. Myself together with our friends younger son were going to drink the Cordial. I was impressed. The wine tasting went well, we left with 3x bottles and our friends with 2. One of ours was the Cordial. We will def enjoy this.

A lovely place to try 10/10 wine and walk around. Marcus was knowledgable, kind, and welcoming. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area- worth the drive from Adelaide.

A must visit if you are wine touring South Australia. We booked the Great Terraced Vineyard tour and the Seppeltsfield Fino Signature Experience. The first experience took us through different parts of the estate and vineyard to understand the history and mechanics of winemaking. Our guide was very kind to tailor the wine tasting to be a more academic one that contrasted different vineyards and vintages. The second experience took us to the centennial cellar to taste their 1925 tawny that was directly drawn from the barrel. After that, we enjoyed a long, relaxed, and delicious lunch with wine pairing at Fino. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic tasting experience with Russell yesterday. He was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the whole experience both informative and enjoyable. What really stood out was his passion and the way he shared the stories behind the wines. A highlight was being shown into the cellar where over 100 years of port is stored—an unforgettable moment. Highly recommend a visit with Russell if you want a truly memorable tasting.

I had a wonderful experience here with the team. Hannah and Marcus were absolutely fantastic and have extensive, very technical knowledge of their wine and the winery.

Really enjoyed this place. We were there for the fortified. The young man that served us was knowledgeable, very friendly. He really cared about our experience. Took the time to share his knowledge, making sure we had enough information to make an informed purchasing decision. We bought 6 bottles to be delivered back to Melbourne. Delivery was quick.

Enjoyed visiting this beautiful Seppeltsfield vineyard😍 I arrived after 4pm so only the JamFactory was still opened. I think it is worth re-visit to do a wine tasting or wine tour as they are one of the pioneers of wine producers in the Barossa Valley.

Yelp
This is a great winery for the family. The adults can try wine while the kids drink raspberry cordial. There's a restaurant and a snack bar. Also a great picnic area. They have some great port. Really pretty views. Love visiting!!
