Why Adelaide Is Australia’s Most Exciting Food and Wine Destination

"Seppeltsfield winery's stylish restaurant focuses on seasonal dishes using local ingredients. One dish of charred rapini with broccoli flowers evoked the blooming rape-seed fields nearby. It offers lively vermentino and food-friendly nero d'avola, described as 'moreish.'" - Travel + Leisure Editors

Has been nothing but excellent! Very beautiful winery. Had one of the best wine tasting experience. Food at the restaurant was amazing!

The service here was very poor today. We had a booking, but the people in front of us were completely brushed aside when they didn’t. There was a more polite way to do it. We tasted the premium wines and it was $35 each for 4 wines (plus we could request more so we did and they were good to accommodate). The regular shiraz and one of the premiums were quite poor, of course it’s a matter of taste, and the others were good (and expensive). Some other wineries explain facts about the wine to us but here just poured them and told us the order to drink it. So, some wines were nice and we ordered bottles even, but we won’t be recommending it.

Google
What a stunning place Seppeltsfield Wines is. The Avenue of Palms on approach was marvellous. The winery area was incredibly crowded and busy when we were there (Oct 2025) and any hope of having lunch was dashed as the 'full' sign was up. Nevertheless we found plenty to amuse ourselves, as Seppelts is easy much more than 2000 palm trees as evidenced by the wonderful entry walkway and historic buildings. There's a Prohibition Gin distillery and also a huge Vasse Virgin shop selling lots and lots of things for the ladies as well as olive oils and soaps. Excellent spot

I did the luxury wine tasting and it was excellent. We sampled four wines, along with a wine they classed as an “old fashioned,” which was a lovely surprise. The reds were the highlight for me I could have easily walked out with several bottles! Next time, I’ll definitely book into their restaurant, which offers a set four-course menu. The venue also has a small gin distillery and a wellness centre with handmade soaps and skincare products, which I’d love to explore more on my next visit. The scenery and buildings are beautiful, easy to get to, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting I’ll definitely be going back.

Absolutely loved this winery … the estate is absolutely beautiful and plenty to see and do. Ideal for families and couples! Shoutout to Russell… he was extremely knowledgeable in the tasting rooms and we really appreciated his expertise and friendly attitude.

Google
Fantastic wine tasting, would thoroughly recommend adding this stop to your itinerary! Lots of local small businesses also operate on site which is a nice addition.

So really sad everywhere including Ai must see and Google must sees, brochures at Tourist Information centers were - you have to do the taste your year of birth tasting at Seppletsfield Wines so we planned our day around this to find that NO this hasn’t been done for years and that to do a cellar tasting we had to book in. That’s extremely hard when you have limited time n the area. So heads up - if you want to do a tasting you need to book in advance. Really disappointed. Bright note the artisans were lovely and friendly and we spent our wine budget there.

Went for a wine tasting today and discovered that although the wines were very nice and the buildings were amazing, what made it for me were the staff especially a wonderful young lady by the name of Lucy who made our afternoon one to remember

Yelp
This is a great winery for the family. The adults can try wine while the kids drink raspberry cordial. There's a restaurant and a snack bar. Also a great picnic area. They have some great port. Really pretty views. Love visiting!!
