Had the most amazing dinner in Sequana!! Local ingredients and carefully picked flavors combined with the gorgeous setting and impeccable service make Sequana an exquisite place to sit down and enjoy. The way heart is put into every detail is something you can't find everywhere. A true treasure.

Google
One of the best restaurants in Paris with a very good deal 47e menu + 23e wine pairing that you should definitely take. Incredibly humble French man and his Senegalese chef wife have a hidden gem (in cite center). As good as any of the "in" places--serves new French cooking but with a bit exotic twist. Only down side menu only changes once a month. I almost asked to repeat after we ate. Of course seasonal locally sourced (including from his own garden) and way better wine choices than some much hotter places.

A very cosy place with very welcoming and friendly personnel. The food was outstanding, and you can see that the chef is really passionnate about the food he cooks when you ask him a question about hidden ingredients, the choice of wine etc. If you have a romantic date planned or are just in the mood for indulging your sensations - this is the place you need!

A cute and romantic restaurant, located close to Seinen. The atmosphere is very romantic and you will absolutely feel at home at this place. The food was outstanding, the wines where really good, in combination with affordable prices, this is one of my favourite genuine french gourmet restaurants in Paris. Also the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable regarding both the food and the wines, and they really made us feel welcome and appreciated. We had a fantastic evening, and we would definitely recommend this place for a better authentic french dining experience in Paris.

Really 5 stars. Various tasting menus and wine pairings impeccably presented and designed. They are relatively new to the scene so go before demand increases and and you can't get in. The small intimate space is modernly furnished and has a view onto the Seine. Very impressive and original menu from this up and coming couple.

I almost never write reviews. When I do it is to share something truly exceptional, or to warn others of something properly horrendous. Sadly, the experience we had at Sequena is of the horrendous kind. So this is written to warn anyone who is thinking about going there. It's the worst meal we have ever had anywhere (not just in Paris) at what supposedly is a great restaurant according to Google reviews (are they fabricated?), that moreover charges well over 70 Euros per person (55 Euros for the food - set 4 course menu, then another 15 for a glass of wine). The atmosphere is completely dead, to add insult to injury. The place was empty at 19:30 on a Friday night. The interior of the restaurant is also deeply depressing. Empty shelves - as if they can't even bother to put something on them, aside from the random glass, framed by grey walls everywhere, no music playing (just the dead silence of a vacant restaurant), and staff that seem nervous and awkward, as if they are not experienced at serving. The food was by far the worst part of it all. It seems like whoever is running this place and cooking in the kitchen just doesn't get it (shocking that Sequana still is open for business). The spinach soup that came out to start had a strange chemical taste. I had to leave it virtually untouched. The main course - the sole - arrived raw and rubbery. When we asked if the chef realizes the fish is uncooked, we were told they like to serve it this way (which is inedible, and frankly unbelievable!). The cheese (course #3) was completely tasteless, and in a country like France with so much wonderful cheese, serving that should be a crime. We ended up filling up on bread and butter (very expensive bread and butter, given the set menu pricing). The red wine was served much too cold (as if straight from the fridge) and upon ordering a second glass, the bottle went empty before the waitress could pour a full glass. But instead of opening up a new bottle, she just left us with half a glass of wine, yet charged us for a full one. Only decent thing was the desert, which I'm not sure was made in the restaurant. All in all, it felt like a restaurant in some small and backwards town way out in the boonies that is attempting to be "fine dining", but has no clue what that actually means, and no sense for how to give patrons a worth while experience. Sequana should frankly be ashamed of charging people the prices they do for what genuinely is a terrible experience. We would have had a better time and better meal at a McDonalds - last place we would ever go to eat, which says it all.

Excellent. Great great value. Best kept secret in town.

Google
Only two choices to make, really: 4 courses or 6, and whether to take the wine pairings or not. We did 6 and yes, and greatly enjoyed the result. Subtle, inventive food that continually surprised us, at a comfortable pace (2.5 hours). Portions for the mains are generous. Highly recommended.

Yelp
tl;dr: focused, simple dishes, impressive and delicious I came here with my girlfriend for dinner and we opted for the long tasting menu. We came with a reservation and were seated immediately, upstairs in a private little nook. We began with a small amuse-bouche Canelé that tasted of roasted cheese. Delicious. We were then showered with fresh bread that I didn't try but my girlfriend enjoyed very much. I was amazed at the quality of olive oil served with the bread - incredibly fresh. From here, the dishes took off. Each one was incredibly simple and dedicated to presenting a single or few flavors exquisitely well. We specifically enjoyed the jerusalem artichoke foam with accompanying mint foam. Each dish was expertly executed with fresh ingredients. Each dish involved a visit from the waitress, new water, more bread, and new silverware. Service was excellent. After 2/3 hours, we were perfectly stuffed. With a 9pm reservation, we finished around closing and were lucky enough to be visited by the chef. She asked us how we liked the food and we spoke for a bit; I was especially curious to ask her how she made some of the dishes. This restaurant is a hidden gem. With a small kitchen, a small dining room, and a small staff, you're almost guaranteed to get excellent attention and an excellent experience.

Yelp
Beautiful food that tasted extraordinary. Mind you I was at L'arpage on Monday. This restaurant blows L'arpage away based on food and service. They use fresh vegetables from their garden, and do unusual food pairings such as strawberries with beer ice cream. I had such a wonderful food experience. Service is very thoughtful, very unpretentious. Gem of a restaurant. See my posted pictures.

Yelp
It was our last night in Paris, and we wanted something slightly special. Looked around and stumbled upon this gem. It opens at 7:30 PM and we were there as the first customers. It is an example of a place you can pass by and not give a second look, which will be a SHAME. Walk in and enjoy a divine meal, served in a very friendly - yet professional - manner, of delicious dishes with many local ingredients, blending exotic ones as well (never heard of Buddha Hand fruit before). We had the 6-course menu with a wine to match, and each one was absolutely amazing. We don't eat meat, and they were very happy to improvise something different for us. The server also recommended a wine that matched the food beautifully. A memorable experience with a very reasonable price. We are going to come back!

Yelp
Wonderful 6 course dinner with wine pairing to conclude our final day in Paris. This meal rates as one of our finest ever as the chef blended extremely fresh locally sourced ingredients (many of the herbs from their garden) in artistic and pallet pleasing creations. Particularily enjoyed the mullet as the texture and flavors were extrodinary. Our complements to Eugenie and Phillipe and our best wishes for their on-going success!! Merci beaucoup!!

Yelp
A huge "big up" for Eugénie and Philippe, who recently opened their restaurant on the Ile de la Cité. It's an amazing spot, a great place to have diner, and I'll tell you why: 1/ Location. I bet you can't find a better place for a restaurant in Paris. Come'on, you are just a few minutes walk from the Seine river, from the heart of the city. Go out for a walk along the river after diner, during the sunset, that will make your evening even better. One important thing people don't often notice but they have a large and high window, oriented South-West (if my memory is good) so the place is full of light and the view is rather beautiful. 2/ Food. Obviously. The two Chefs, Eugénie and Philippe, are absolutely passionate about food, cooking. The night I had diner there, I got a chance to talk a little with them. I really felt they were truly passionate. Meals are smartly engineered: at that point, it's not only cooking, but also a mixture of art and science. Ingredients are chosen specifically, for a single purpose : make the tasting experience something exceptional. And it works. You want to know where the products are coming from ? Either from the most prestigious market gardeners of Paris, or from their own garden. You want to know what does "fresh food" means? There is no other place to go in Paris. Whether you are hungry or not, you can chose the 3-dishes, 4-dishes or 6-dishes menu. Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you about their bread. Homemade, of course. Better than in most Parisian bakeries (and that's something!!!). 3/ Service. This is a direct consequence of having two Chefs extremely passionate about their work: they are smiling 24/7. That makes so much of a difference, especially in Paris (no kidding...) 4/ Drinks. Not only wines (which are absolutely delicious by the way), but also soft drinks. My conclusion: go there, you'll love it, probably as much as I did, and certainly even more. Certainly among the top 5 restaurants I have even been to in my life (and god knows I've tried a lot!).

Yelp
So happy to have found this little resto! It is so charming, the food is out of this world and beautifully presented. Attention to detail is on point from the cool light fixtures to the tea sets to the silverware, and the flowers. The food is phenomenal! Best meal I've had in a long time.

Yelp
Felt quite lucky to have found this little gem. Very excellent creative courses, well complimented by the wine/tea pairing. Vegetables very fresh from their own garden. Courses included home made foie gras, quail egg with fresh shavings of white truffle, fish with spinach and green peas, sliced seared duck breast with mushroom, potatoes and artichokes- fromage corse + both a strawberry and chocolate dessert. Great intimate romantic spot- right off Pont Neuf on Isle de la Cite. Reservations advised -as quite small.
