Sercotel Las Torres Salamanca

After a tremendous attempt to park the car in, we entered the rooms with little to cheer us up. The room had bunk beds with a ladder that looked like it was from the 70’s and a bathroom door with a gap so wide you could see the person inside. My mum showered in the dark in order to feel comfortable……. There was little room to fit our bags and 2 sockets to charge our items. In the morning our lights didn’t work and the tv also never worked. We survived because we stayed here only one night, but do yourself a favour and book somewhere with an overall better standard, the location barely makes up for all the flaws with this place.

The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the edge of Plaza Mayor. That's all the good that can be said. Renovated old building resulted in small, uncomfortable and cramped rooms. The bathroom is shameful. The hallways are barely wider than a suitcase. Everything is cramped: stairs, elevators, corridors, toilet, reception. Example of misuse of a space with the potential to be excellent. Now there is nothing left to do to fix it.

Great room overlooking plaza mayor with balcony. Large room but furniture/fittings limit movement in room/ensuite slightly. Lack of plug sockets unhelpful. Dog friendly was why we chose this hotel and friendly reception was appreciated given we were arriving with a dog.

The TV was not programmed to any station. Only minimal lights worked. The overall room lights could not be operated. The bathroom door did not close successfully to fully assure privacy for user.

I stayed here last year in September, and had a fine stay. This year I booked through one of the online services and indicated I was traveling alone, but with my dog. I ended up getting a room that was so small that there was no place to put the dog bed they provided. I had to put it in front of the room's door! It was a ridiculous small size and I complained at the desk, but they offered no help whatsoever. Apparently the hotel was full, and it was my bad luck to have booked as a single person. Moral: Don't admit that you are a single person! You'll get the same price in a much better room.

Great location central to everything. Parking was a nightmare and expensive as in all main cities.......... Nice room but very small, otherwise it was very clean, modern and comfortable.

I had previously given a five-star review to this hotel on the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. I thought last year it had a wonderful staff, good rooms, great pet friendliness and very reasonable prices. However, this year I returned and I was given a very small room. When I complained at the front desk they explained because I was a single person, I was given the single person's room. It was really because I used the site we are all familiar with. The hotel was full, and I was stuck and disappointed with the hotel staff. I was also disappointed that they even have a room that size! Sure, it was a low rate, but last year I got a full room in September, instead of a shoe box in August. Very upset and disappointed. Moral: Don't indicate that you're a single!

The staff was helpful and supportive. The room was clean but a bit small. It contained all important amenities. The breakfast was varied and the food was of very high quality. The location of the hotel is close to the major historical sites of Salamanca. I would return.
