A lot of the reviews only mention location and price, so I want to provide something more well rounded. Room quality: C-. The room had a little more than the bare bones: 2 bars of soap, a shower with low water pressure (but mostly hot water), internet (worked well 2/3 days, and not at all the 3rd), a bed, a dresser and a fridge. It lacked a trash can, and other basic items you'd otherwise expect. I would also give this a higher rating if the internet had worked all three days. Cleanliness: C-. They had mopped before I arrived, but the room was in serious need of redoing. All the walls had a mix of seemingly mold, blood ( red markings), or dirt. See my attached photos. It rained a ton while I was there, so I don't fault the musty smell. Noise: F. The walls are incredibly thin, and they are apparently redoing the common area, so everyone hung out on the balcony. That meant you heard every conversation, including the family that argued at 7am about what shoes to bring to the excursion, and the group that partied on the second floor balcony from 8pm-2am every night. Even though I used earplugs, I never got more than 5-6 hours of sleep a night. Location: A+. The location can't be beat; it's in the heart of Placencia. Price: I paid $100/night so interpret that however you want. I will never, ever, return here. If I return to Placencia, I will save up and stay anywhere else even if it costs more.

This is a perfect location. Rooms are clean and spacious. They were doing some upgrades while I was there. The staff are super accommodating (I feel bad I cannot remember her name). She stayed late to help us check in and her son helped us with luggage. I absolutely love this gem. Will stay here next time we head that way again. Incredibly fantastic people and great rates.

Comfortable bed. Warm showers. Cold AC. Fridge and TV. No kitchen but for 60-80 bucks a night this hotel is the best bang for your buck The manager is quick to respond and is available in her office during the day and was very helpful when I needed a room last minute. Location is great as you have places to eat and gift shops literally steps away. Location is quiet as well. Your also close to mings Market and sort of in the middle of Placencia so your never too far from any one location. Beach is only a couple hundred feet from the property And next to Cozy Corner (Highly recommend the stuff Jack's for breakfast) Overall if your looking for an affordable room that checks off those main boxes this hotel is the one for you.

This is by no means a 5 star hotel, but the rooms are clean. It is very close to the marina. The a/c works well! So does the Wifi! I would stay there again.

Serenede Hotel offered a pleasant stay with comfortable accommodations and friendly staff. While enjoyable, a few minor improvements could enhance the over all for example a better parking area and more lights and indications on where to go for parking

This is the second place we’ve stayed in Placencia, and normally I don’t write reviews at all (I know, shame on me) but I had to when I saw the first review said this place ruined their vacation then proceeded to talk about a pool at the hotel and a safe in the room. I’m not sure where that person stayed but it wasn’t here. The Serenade has neither of these things! What they do have is hot water and air conditioning (the other place we stayed for the same price did not), extremely kind employees and beach access. It’s nothing fancy but we’d definitely stay here again! Oh, and they need to update their pictures of the outside. If you’re walking down the Placencia sidewalk looking for the place it is not yellow, look for a grayish building!

First off, the hotel has such a warm friendly approach internally and externally. The staff had all our pre-booking documents on hand and signing in was easy. The rooms are cozy enough, however it wasn't too spacious but okay enough to sleep in. All basic utilities are on given, along with a general kitchen. Staying there with my Class mates was splendid. The hotel is located right on the sidewalk, where gifts shops, restaurants and bars are situated. One of the best deals of this hotel is that the beach is literally a 2 minutes walk away. Over all the environment is clean and quiet and safe enough to guard your belongings. The Serenade Hotel is affordable and friendly enough to accommodate your stay in Placencia, Belize. #letsguide

It was great! I always love to stay at serenade when visiting Placencia. The staff is really nice and they are under new management with updated rooms. I can walk 15 steps straight ahead and be at the shore, All the best food is in walking distance, and fresh guava and cashew trees right out front of the hotel! It is family owned and has a hammock right outside for lounging
