Serenity at Home Guest House Bed and Breakfast

The host here is a wonderful human being with an amazing world view. It is an honor to know her hospitality. The neighborhood is one of the few standing authentic ones in the area with a strong sense of community. Truly a hidden gem in the big apple. Highly recommend!

The loveliest place ❣️ Zenobia made me feel very welcome while also letting me so my thing. It's a lovely street, close to public transport, and very close to a beautiful park. Definitely want to return here!

I spent three nights at Serenity Guest House and could not have been happier. I stayed in the En Suite and it was like the perfect apartment. A sun room with a futon, cafe table, and tv (I had coffee and got some work done in the mornings); a beautiful bath a claw foot tub, and a huge master bedroom with a super comfy king sized bed. ||||The location was great - great coffeeshops, a gourmet grocery, vegetarian friendly restaurants, just a few blocks from the subway, and a short walk to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Museum, and library. The neighborhood was friendly and diverse. I really had everything that I needed and found it hard to venture out! ||||And Zenobia was the best host. She made me feel like a member of the family visiting from out of town. She helped me learn the in's and out's of the neighborhood, I cannot wait to go back.

Stayed here for a week and it was a lovely quiet space after all the hustle and bustle of New York. A good location for sight seeing as buses and tubes only a five minute walk. It's based in a vibrant area, Prospect park nice for a walk, good local cafes etc. Clean, tidy and I shared a bathroom which wasn't a problem. Zenobia the host is lovely and very helpful.

Zenobia provides a very pleasant home in a very real and vibrant Brooklyn neighborhood. She is interesting, helpful, pleasant, and a joy to interact with. The classic Brooklyn brownstone has comfortable rooms and is well located just a few blocks from the subway. The many restaurants in the neighborhood are not fancy, but offer better food than any fancy restaurant will. Zenobia will recommend the neighborhood's best to you. A great New York experience you can never get in Times Square, or most of Manhattan for that matter. I loved it. Close to many Brooklyn sights too, like Prospect Park and the Grand Army Plaza.

A Beautiful house, built in the late 19th century which has been lovingly maintained - It felt like a home on our trip away. Zenobia was so kind and helpful on our trip - we managed to lock ourselves out one night like a pair of muppets and Zenobia came to our rescue. ||||The location is great for getting around and sight seeing- 5 minutes walk from the subway station prospect park. Really nice cafes around too, if you want to chill in Brooklyn and see the Botanical Gardens or Museum.||||I would highly recommend the Guest House to anyone who hopes to visit New York for some exploring!

We stayed three nights at this B&B and enjoyed our time there. Zenobia is a lovely host who wants to make sure her guests feel at home.||||There are some nice touches like fresh bread and bagels and music quietly playing in the dining room and so on. Serenity is a very fitting name as the area is quiet. ||||It's full of character and tastefully decorated. It's also conveniently located close to the Prospect Park subway station. ||||Like many similar older buildings access is by stairs. If you have limited mobility or heavy bags ask about room options.

We had a really, really lovely experience at this place! My husband and I stayed there for 5 days in April and it was very pleasant to come back to a quiet place and smelling good. The room is very well taken care of, there is a selection of products if you want to have breakfast in the place. The stairs don’t even bother for the place is very comfortable and clean. The shower may take a little long to heat up, but overall it was a great experience. Thank you Zenobia! Will definitely stay again.
