Servigroup Calypso Hotel

I had a lovely stay at this hotel during my holiday. The service was absolutely amazing. The staff were always helpful and friendly which really made a difference. The pool was nice and clean though it did feel a bit small for the number of guests and some of the sunbeds were a little old and could use updating. My room was spotless and well maintained but it felt a bit on the smaller side and the views weren’t the best because of the triangular balcony shapes. Breakfast was nothing special, it was the usual but with fewer choices and not a lot of options. Overall it was a comfortable stay with great service being the highlight.

Lovely hotel. Very clean, excellent location, amazing staff, we only had bed and breakfast. Good choices of breakfast. Definitely recommend it. Only downside is rooms were small, nothing to complain about. I always prefer to stay in spacious room, but that's my choice. Generally the hotel is excellent. Definitely give good reviews.

- [ ] Second visit to the Calypso and whole on whole a very clean and tidy hotel a lives up to its 3 star . In your room you have free Air Con and free safety box which is a big winner with me .The location is ideal for the surrounding pubs/entertainment The staff are very hard working ,polite and helpful . One plus point is in the shower room where they have provided a rubber mat to prevent slipping in the shower tray , but slight corrosion on the external of the shower near floor level ,and the noisiest toilet cistern ever . Food is what you expect with poached egg n black pudding another winner in my eyes , the evening meal was a bit disappointing in my view but the soup was very nice and hot . The swimming pool was okay and no sunbed dash in the morning and the temperature acceptable, one downside is the sunbeds ( not all) need a good clean and I didn’t observe the pool area being cleaned during my stay. Come back , Yes of course

Absolutely brilliant hotel, and has AC everywhere, which is great considering the heat outside. Staff are courteous, professional and always happy to help. The rooms, as well as the rest of the hotel, are immaculately cleaned. Had a balcony with table and two chairs, and was perfect for our needs. Comfy beds, extra pillows, cleaned every day with fresh towels. One niggle, there was no kettle, which is a shame as I can't function without a coffee 1st thing, but I would not hold that against the hotel, it's just my personal preference. Highly recommended, in fact, we have booked the same hotel for next year... Perfect location, close enough to the strip, but not close enough to be disturbed by the noise. About a 5min walk to the beach, and about 25 mins gentle stroll to the old town

This was me and sons first holiday abroad, from the moment we arrived at the hotel everyone was so lovely, we were giving a room on floor 10 but I have a fear of lifts, we asked to be changed floors which they done with both rooms we had so all family were on same floor, was so grateful. We had breakfast deal and the food was really good a variety to suit everyone. The pool was a great size and never overly busy and it was easy enough to get a sun lounger. The staff in the hotel were so friendly and wouldn’t pass you without speaking. A special mention to the activity entertainment Iris from the hotel. We had fun doing the aqua aerobics and other games she played, she was encouraging and gave my family such a nice experience having fun together. The hotel is clean, spacious and I will definitely be booking for next year. Thank you

This was my daughter’s and my first holiday abroad, and we had a fantastic experience at Hotel Calypso. The hotel is very central—within walking distance to the beach, the Old Town, and plenty of nightlife and entertainment.|The staff were well-mannered and friendly, my friend has a fear of elevators which staff kindly changed the floor of our room so we were able to take the stairs. Housekeeping came daily with fresh towels, which was great. Every room has a good size balcony, perfect for relaxing when you just want some quiet time in your room.|We booked bed and breakfast, and the breakfast was amazing—freshly cooked every morning with something for everyone. The dining area was clean and spacious, making it a pleasant start to the day.|There was daily entertainment by the pool and evening shows at the front bar, which we really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends—and we’d happily book here again!

We were pleasantly surprised how lovely the hotel was for 3*. Clean, presentation, friendly staff, good breakfast, entertainment round the pool only negative comment i could give was the limescale and woodwork near the shower. Perfect location right at the start of the strip

Stayed with my wife and 15 year old son in August.|First impressions are good, everything is clean and bright.|Check in was fine and given room 220 on second floor which was great as we don’t like being too high up.|On entering the room we were full of disappointment though, very tired and very small. We had 3 single beds so our son at least had a proper bed instead of a pull out one but my word the beds are rock hard.|None of us had much sleep as it’s like layer on door, unbelievably uncomfortable.|Hotel is in a great location though opposite Morgan’s Tavern at the start of the strip.|Pool is ok and always sun beds available whenever we wanted one,some need replacing though as seen better days. Plenty of space around the pool area so you spread out.|The food both breakfast and evening meal was realy good , evening meal started at 7 o’clock which is a bit late for us.|Evening entertainment was poor but there is so much to choose from along the strip.|Would I come back to this hotel, definitely no. The room and beds in particular were so poor.||Tip.|If you like the beach and the sea please be aware that the sea bed in solid slippery rock. Head towards the old town along the prom until you reach the Cimbel Hotel. At this point the rock ends and it’s sand under foot walking out into the sea.
