Had a 5 day break here in mid March. I have been before a while ago, so, I knew it would be ok. I have stayed at a few decent hotels in Benidorm and used to stay at Sandos a lot, but as the food and drink has declined, I have changed to pasters new. ||Check in was fine, nice and fast my friend and I were was allocated rooms 131 and 132 respectively on the first floor at the back. No view, but I did not expect one as, we did not pay for a pool view.| What we did get though, was a lot of unnecessary noise from the staff. Around 0845 the cleaners would be coming in to start work and gather for a smoke and a chat under our balconies. then in the afternoon there was banging and a lot of general noise from workers and staff, whilst we were trying to grab a few hours sleep. had I been staying longer i would have insisted on a room change.|(Note: if you are staying here, make sure you do not get allocated rooms 130 through 135 or 230 through 235. if of course, you like peace and quiet in the day)|Ok, that said,|now for the rest....|The pool area is nice, lots of space, although the bar was not open much as it was still regarded as pre season.|The reception and bar area is very pleasant to sit in, spotless and the staff are friendly and very hard working, nothing is to much trouble and they smile a lot.||The entertainment, i felt was very Spanish themed, which was fine with me, as we went out a lot and we are in Spain after all.||Many of the clientele here are 50 plus, which makes a nice atmosphere and you do not appear to get the drunks, stags and hen parties in.||The location is very central, the old town 5 minutes walk to the right and the Strip 5 minutes walk to the left. the beach 2 minutes walk straight ahead.||The rooms: Well equipped, with a nice balcony, Fridge, Safe (Free to use), nice bathroom with bath and shower, x2 bottles of complimentary water, once during your stay, push button blackout curtains. TV with some English channels, spotlessly clean and well maintained.|Cleaners do the rooms between 0900 (after a smoke and annoying me lol ) and 1500 and always turn up and do a first class job..|Note: There is no kettle or tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Now, if you are like me and like a brew on the balcony each morning you will need to bring your own. |The food: We went half board, Breakfast and Dinner||The Breakfast, i can only say is absolutely phenomenal. I am fortunate enough to stay in many hotels around the world and i admit, this one would take some beating.|There was nothing they did not have that i could see, from fresh juices directly from the fruit and fresh frit too.( some hotels in Benidorm cannot even provide that) to omelettes made to order. Both English and Spanish bacons though to cereals and a huge choice of breads and pastries. You can even grab a glass of prosecco, if you are that way inclined yes, apart from that, the waitresses always smile, say hello and are constantly working to keep you're table clear and the place spotless. I had a sneaky peek in the kitchen and that , along with the staff in there were spotless too. | First class , the best i have ever experienced. 10/10|||The Dinner: same scenario with the cleanliness and staff. the food was fine, although, it was a little repetitive, (chicken skewers twice in three days).|there was not such a huge choice as other hotels, but, it was very nice and very well presented.||Overall, apart from the small noise issue first mentioned, i would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel as a great central base and relaxing stay.|I myself will return no doubt, but not stay in the aforementioned rooms. That being the only reason it lost one star.
