The hotel is really very lovely. We would definitely recommend and stay again. All staff, regardless of their role, were friendly. Very clean. Some areas in need of a little maintenence such as missing tiles in the pool. Brilliant location. Turn right for Old Town and left for the strip.

my first stay at this hotel, and it was quite a good one. |this hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are cleaned daily as well. not the biggest of rooms but perfectly adequate. good powerful shower.|great bar area and drinks are quite cheap (€2.30 for a small beer)|now to the pool area. the main pool is to the side of the hotel and looses all the sun by 3 pm, at the front there is a slash pool and an 8m diameter pool for adults. more sunbeds than you can poke a stick at.|now the average age at this hotel is probably around the 70 year mark and mainly 95% spanish , so if ure young, dumb, and living with mum you might want to swerve it.|there was nightly entertainment if you want it|we only had breakfast which was good, large selection of cooked stuff.|all the staff were friendly.|all in all a great hotel if ure over 50

I stayed at Hotel Diplomatic and it was okay, but not what I expected. Some days the food was decent, other days just meh. Getting drinks with lunch and dinner was a bit of a hassle — even though they were included in my package, I still had to keep asking or flag someone down just to get a bottle of water. The overall vibe felt off. A few staff were nice, but others seemed annoyed or uninterested. Mornings were noisy with cleaners yelling down the hall, and around midnight carts full of bottles were pushed over the cobblestones, which made it hard to relax. Not the worst stay, but definitely a disappointing one compared to other places I’ve been.

This hotel was exceptionally clean, the breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly. After a heavy night of drinking, the beds were very comfortable. The shutters on the windows were great! Will definitely return!

Nice rooms and cleaning was excellent, hotel itself is very nice and with a great location between old town and the strip. As a couple in our 50's who like a bit of quiet and a bit lively it was great. Only minor downside was that it does tend to cater for elderly guests, over 65's really. The breakfast was good but absolute chaos every morning filled with with grumpy Spanish pensioners who all seemed miserable lol.

The best place I ever stayed! Could not fault it. Everything was to the highest standard and very professional and attentive staff. Amazing! Deserves 5 stars and more

The hotel felt homely as you entered the reception area. Rooms were cleaned daily with a change of sheets and towels. Restaurant was roomy and plenty of food choices. Entertainment was really good. Most definitely we would stay there again and highly recommend the Diplomatic Hotel without a doubt.

We recently stayed in this hotel for a three night visit to Benidorm. Two early fourties ladies who have been coming to Benidorm for many years. We most definitely come to Benidorm for the liveliness in the day and night, and love to dance the night away until the early hours, but we do not want a lively 2 star hotel anymore and so this was perfect for us. ||The location was exactly where we wanted to be in between the old and new town and a stroll along the front for live music as far up as the tiki bar. At night it was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Perhaps the absolute best thing about this hotel for me was the electric shutter on the bedroom window, being someone with paper thin eyelids and when we are in Benidorm out until the early hours I have never had such great sleep, it made the world of difference to me. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, we never were never up or only just in so missed the breakfast offering. ||||I was saddened that there were not enough people around to watch the hotel evening entertainment, we could see the local singers from our ground floor terrace which was lovely and they were great but I noticed the lack of an audience which felt like a real shame, this was not what we chose the hotel for but I did notice an evening entertainment program also.||||I would love to stay here again next year but sadly it does not seem to be available for July 2026
