Wonderful experience. It's a laid back eatery with a hip vibe. But more importantly, the food was delicious and the staff super friendly and efficient. Many highly rated places seem to sit back on their laurels and don't make the effort, but this place is the exception. We sat in the back patio area as we had our dog with us and pups are welcome in that area. As we went on a weekday, ordering is done up front but the food is then brought out directly to your table. The patio area was airy and open but covered with a large fabric sunsail. There are numerous garden boxes with flowers and herbs. The staff came out and picked some fresh basil for their dishes. The food itself was delicious and came out fairly quickly. All dishes were tasty and the vegetables were fresh, the meat portions generous. For our vegan member, his dish was well done also. I only wish this was a little closer to us, but we would definitely return. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to Session since they opened, and now it’s always my first stop when I’m back in VB. Would literally fly here to get this food. The smoothies are the best I’ve ever had actually fresh, consistent, and healthy. It’s so hard to get something other than the cream (already halfway gone in the pic) because i love that one so much but highly recommend trying them all. And the breakfast burrito is simply unmatched, a must try as well if you haven’t been. I’ve truly never had anything on the menu I didn’t love. The staff is awesome, they’re always friendly and somehow remember you, which makes the whole experience even better. (Give them big fat tips!!) Super cute patio filled with flowers in the back, great for brunch with the girls and my favorite spot. Even when it gets hot (excuse to get a smoothie ;) If you want healthy, delicious food in a fun, natural, plant filled atmosphere, this is 100% your place! They also have great brunch drinks. You really can’t go wrong. The only downside to writing this review is now i’m going to have to wait in a longer line for my smoothie

First it is very inviting - you get greeted then as you skim through you see live plants: by the windows, pothos plants hanging from the ceiling and of course check out their patio _ wildflower heaven! The variety of their menu items - all fresh, all great takes of faves, vegan with options for us carnivores as well. And they have weekly specials all so good. Being my first time I went with their most popular: breakfast bowl. Definitely unilaterally delicious! On weekdays, it’s semi self-service. You’re given water, menu, utensils at the table, then you go to cashier/front reception to place and pay for your order My eye saw their smoothies. Their mimosas….will definitely come back with my hubby…! Oh am going to name drop - the owner Kevin was so friendly, very passionate about his place.. if shows!

Cozy spot with a chill vibe! We were seated quickly. I ordered the Warren G Smoothie, Fresh Squeezed OJ, and the Chicken Burrito w/ chips and the food was Fresh and Delicious! Definitely will be back! Went on Sunday at Noon so parking was a pain due to the nearby church, but this place was worth the headache navigating the parking lot until someone left!

I rave about session to anyone and everyone who will listen. Everything is fresh from their juices to greens. It’s refreshing and delightful. I’ve never had a bad experience, drink or food item. Their garden on their patio is absolutely glorious and gives me life always. The inside is just as lively with all the pothos and disco balls. It’s literally the sparkle in your life you need. Surprised to find such a charming spot in a strip mall, complete with outdoor seating. Feels like you’re in a garden. Chill background music. food feels very fresh and clean, vibrant flavors. I loved the hot sauce provided on the side. Quality and presentation of food was delightful.

Just popped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised 😋 loved the atmosphere, very cute and funky. The menu was diverse and everything was very fresh. We ended up going halfsies with the Nancy and the In da Club sandwiches and both were delicious! Best thicc bacon I've ever had on a sandwich 🤤 We sat inside bc it's hot and humid, but the patio area was very nice with flowers everywhere

Complete dining experience. Amazing food, vibe, spot and service. It is one of the highest rated VB restaurants on Google for good reason. We throughly enjoyed the breakfast fried rice [the aioli isn't spicy! Recommend adding the house made hot sauce for a kick], your dad's go to and oatmeal bar. The Blue print was solid. Missy and Kevin took great care of us. We had a counter service experience and still wanted for nothing. Add to your VB food bucket list for sure. PS I loved the music/concert soundtrack and details. Best brunch spot in Hampton Roads! Excellent service, caring & friendly owner, tons of vegan options on the menu, and supe vibe! I absolutely love the breakfast burrito made vegan. The lemony greens salad it's served with is so delicious. Their hot sauce is fantastic! Skip the coffee and go for the mimosa flight. Atmosphere inside and out is really cute and comfortable. I love that you can bring dogs to the patio outside.

Another delicious and vegan-friendly brunch spot for the books! Our party of 4 was seated within 20 minutes on a busy Sunday. I'd never seen tempeh on a menu before (and I'm from the west coast)! I would say things leaned salty, but otherwise very fresh and tasty. The service was excellent.

I can not wait to get back to this place. If I lived closer, it would be a weekly visit! The vegan options are DELICIOUS, and I always have to order something to take home with me. My favorite so far has been the veggie Bahn mi sandwich. Service is great, but it can get REALLY busy, especially at brunch times, so be prepared for a wait, or get there early. The last time I went I had a tart cherry mimosa, and it was the best mimosa I have ever had - anywhere. You also can't pass up the basil chive dressing - just get a side of it if it doesn't come with your meal - totally worth it. The food is unforgettable, and the ambiance is fun!

The best breakfast burrito I've had! Loved the gochujang aioli! Session offers a great selection of food. I'm really amazed at the all the healthy options (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, regular). Definitely will be my go to spot for breakfast and brunch!

Sessions is a solid favorite of ours. One of the owners, Kevin, is also a DJ and always has the vibe set right to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or a Sunday Funday brunch. When you order your food, you choose which musical artist you want for your "table number". We chose Prince last time. All the menu item names are also hip hop themed phrases. You can taste the love in the menu items crafted by the other owner, Priscilla. We've tried several items on the menu but our returners: Hot Boi - this wrap has a habanero crema sauce and it packs heat Breakfast Fried Rice - we usually get this as a side to share Breakfast Burrito - this has the most unique flavors The Baglette - first time I've had this type of dish where the omelet is cooked in the bagle and it was beautifullly done, I do recommend adding bacon or sausage to this Chicken Salad Sandwich - I am picky with chicken salad and this is one of my favorite Homemade hot sauce - this isn't a menu item per say but deserves its own line, we purchase a bottle to take home everytime *Most dishes come with fresh greens and homeade dressing. Great for digestion The mimosas are exceptionally refreshing made with fresh pressed juice. They also have a variety of canned cocktails, coffees, teas, and smoothies.

Awesome spot. Location threw me for a loop. It's located in a strip mall and from the outside, it doesn't look like it would be trendy and cute, however they worked with that space and really made it great. Tons of greenery, indoor and outdoor dining, and cute decor. We came on a Sunday for brunch around 12 and it was busy. We were able to snag a table, but the line to order was very long. Our purpose for this meal was to enjoy great food while also getting some work done. This was the perfect place. Wifi worked super well and it's just private/quiet enough. Drinks; we both got the mimosa flight. The carrot mimosa was surprisingly delicious. The others were average. Food; we shared the breakfast sandwich with thicc bacon and the breakfast burrito with sausage. Both delicious. They have tons of gluten free and dairy free options, which is a huge plus. We didn't take advantage this time since they were out of gluten free tortillas, but will next time. Pricing was high. We spent close to $80 for 2 people having a casual meal. That's the only thing that would hold me back from coming regularly.

This is one of my favorite casual brunch places in Virginia Beach, hands down. If you come here on a weekday there isn't much of a wait at all. I like the fast casual, order at the counter concept. This time, I ordered the Herbie (herbed potatoes over greens, egg, pickled onion, added avocado and more) which was their hearty breakfast bowl. The aioli sauce on it was great! Everyone who works here is very friendly and remembers repeat customers. Also, order the coffee and you can get free refills on your own. Cute outdoor patio seating and wonderful plant decor. Add this to your brunch list!

This place had a great atmosphere and really nice and knowledgeable staff. They have so many gluten-free and dairy free options which was amazing and the food was worth the price. My favorite was the freshly squeezed orange juice.

Great ambiance--I enjoyed the music, greenery, and small patio out back. Loved the hot boi burrito! Sam at the counter was very friendly, kind, and helpful. It is a bit pricey but understandably, no different than other higher end brunch spots. Overall we really enjoyed our experience here. We'll be back!

I LOVE coming here!!! The food, plants, service, overall vibe is unmatched. I always see the same guy working in there who is very personable and kind. There's a nice garden in the back you can sit as well. There are unique plants everywhere you look I can't get enough of it!!! Best of all the food is amazing. Everything I eat here never misses. They make their own salad dressing I NEED to bottle up and take home (get the BLT salad). Frittata is so good with their homemade salsa. I just tried the breakfast fried rice today add bacon and it was delicious like everything else!!!

Just found this place recently and the food was wonderful. The owner, Kevin, was very helpful in helping us pick out some good choices. Only problem is that there are so many good choices.

Loved my experience eating at this quaint little cafe in An unassuming location. We were in Virginia Beach for vacation and came here for lunch/brunch with the entire family- all vegetarian of course. It was so nice to have multiple veggie options on the menu to try and we loved every dish. I also really liked the enthusiasm of the servers and front desk. I would definitely go again! Too bad I don't live in Virginia Beach but will be sure to check out next time I am visiting!

One of those rare reviews where the dining experience really exceeded expectations. Flavorful food, top-notch service, and a great ambiance to boot. I ordered the veggie Banh Mi with tempeh bacon, and as someone who eats meat, I didn't miss 'real meat' at all. Only visiting Virginia Beach by way of California, but when I come back to visit, Session will be at the top of my list.

Loved everything about this place - food, service, vibes were all on point. Definitely take advantage of the beautiful garden in the back. Listen closely and you might catch the owner singing along to his awesome playlist!

cuppa words: vegan brunch options on shore dr. !!! but actually a lot more words because i love this place. the owners are excellent, the staff is always lovely, and they provide clear descriptions of their vegan dishes!!! i love that when my non vegan family comes to town we can grab breakfast and all of us have something to enjoy. whether you're vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, or a carnivorous monster, session has something for you. esp if you like to talk music/movie/pop culture, you'll love it here. i've been coming here since they opened in 2021 and seeing them thrive through a global pandemic as a small business (to me) shows what they're capable of. ps try the CREAM smoothie and breakfast fried rice and thank me later

Great vibe! Love that there are some vegan options, and all of the fresh dishes are tasty AND healthy. Smoothies are great, and the fact they have a clean space (outdoor and indoor) is great. Counter service, lots of local faves like smart mouth beer and empowered plant cakes! We had the breakfast fried rice and the bahn mi--both great items. Recommend for all my vegan friends out there!

i wish i could give 10 stars. each time i come is better than the last. i brought my mom and sister this time and am converting them to session addicts. there's vegan and vegetarian and gluten free options, the owners are super friendly and chatty and knowledgeable about everything. they also have a rewards system that is pretty epic. theres no excuse for session to not be in your life.

So many great things to say about Session. crazy thankful for the fact that almost everything can be made vegan. The flavors are off the chain & everything is made from scratch & full of love. Their crew is genuinely happy you're part of their atmosphere & there to ensure you are happy during your time at their establishment as well as carry that through the rest of your day. Good brunch place with unique flavor! I had the breakfast burritos and it had a very unique taste but it does have radishes in it so if your not a fan I would ask for it without. The chicken salad was very good and I suggest getting it on sourdough because it's amazingggg.The outside patio is very cute and it has a great atmosphere and the employees are all very helpful. Definitely suggest going here if you want good Breakfast/Lunch spot!

Great place with a California vibe and good healthy fare! I ordered the CREAM smoothie and lox bagel. It was all fresh and flavorful. One of the owners is a dietitian, so you know she makes a point of serving nutritious AND flavorful fare! The ambiance both inside and out is very cheerful and puts you in a positive mood! So whether you want to sit in or outside at the outdoor patio, you'll be pleasantly happy and pleased to enjoy your brunch or lunch!!

Spectacular. Order at the front desk, then retire to the back flower garden with a marker with the photo of a rock and roll great. Amazing food to our party of three-- I had the veggie bahn mi. For desert we shared a brownie with a lovely gooey center. Plan to return within the month.

Everything was awesome. The staff was so friendly and the food was top notch! I just wish it was closer to my house, but that would also be bad for my wallet! Already can't wait to come back.

Stopped in this past weekend to check out this new restaurant and WOW!!! Such an awesome place with a wonderful vibe and awesome music playing through! The veggie bahn mi was to die for. Such a wild variety of flavors make your taste buds dance in euphoria, served on a nice crunchy ciabatta baguette. I almost got 2 for the drive home but kept my composure. The back patio has a beautiful garden and the music just makes the entire experience even better. The owners stopped by to say hello and were the friendliest people around! Will definitely be coming back regularly!

Amazing brunch spot got omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans! 10/10! The environment is very relaxing and comfortable. The food is fresh and packed full of flavor. The owners are clearly passionate about their restaurant and the qualify of food they service. The staff are attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Food quality is good and the portions are small, which is not a problem for me as I find that most places serve low quality large portions; I prefer quality over quantity. However, I ordered the avocado toast and the portion size was ridiculously small. The toast was extremely thin, maybe 1/4 of inch thick an 1/4 of an avocado very thinly sliced on top, four very thin slices of raw radish and four slivers of raw carrot (like you get when using a potato peeler) If I had my phone I would have taken a photo; it was seriously an insult for $12. I have never complained about small portions size before because I'm a small person with a small appetite, but I went home and cooked breakfast after eating there since the toast couldn't have even been considered a appetizer I'm my opinion. This should be taken off the menu, I can't imagine anyone would be happy with this order.

I've gone to Session several times for breakfast/lunch and have nothing but good things to say. The food is amazing and can customized to your needs. The owners and staff are super nice and welcoming. Last but not least, chill vibes.

Session was the hidden gem that i'm glad i found . it'll honestly be be new breakfast spot . when you walk in, it's such a vibe . the ambiance is vibrant , & i love a spot with live plants and sunshine . i ordered the classic sammy , which is a build your own type thing. i got my sandwich as a crossaint, with the home made turkey sausage, fried egg & cheese . and i can't forget the habanero crema it was topped with . DELICIOUS! also got the mimosa flight - the juices today were orange , ginger , grapefruit & apple cider . all delicious as well .

Found Session via Yelp app after hiking trails at First Landing State Park. We were looking for something other than fast food that was close by. What a delight! I had the Breakfast Fried Rice and my husband had the Avocado Toast with an added fried egg. Both entrees were delicious! Food was fresh, tasty and served in portions sizes that are just perfect. Service was fast and very friendly. Wish we lived in town so we could come back often

Food was delicious. Service was friendly and fairly quick (order at the counter and they bring to your table). Ambiance is nice and the themed smoothies and table numbers were fun. We tried the breakfast fried rice and the mushroom sandwich. Both were delicious. My boyfriend also loved the coffee and chocolate smoothie. We were just in town for a couple days, but ended up going back for lunch a second time.

Now it's our favorite place for breakfast/brunch/lunch meals. Very flavorful and healthy food, nice service, cute full of plants and flowers ambiance, and great value for it all.

So I never write reviews for places (good or bad), but I decided to for Session. Once I walked in, my girlfriend and I were greeted by Kevin, who, at the time, I didn't know was the owner. He was extremely welcoming, very interpersonal and you could tell he was just an all around good dude. He made it feel like we knew him for years. I got a Hot Boi and a C.R.E.A.M. smoothie, and my girlfriend got The Nancy and a smoothie as well. The food was amazing and the guys working there were just awesome and friendly. I made sure to tell Kevin how pleased I was with the place and that I would be coming back. You always want good people who take a chance with a restaurant/company to do well. I hope this place continues to prosper.

Great food and a very creative menu! Very nice atmosphere and music. Pleasant and attentive owners. My husband and I had the Shroom and pesto flatbread, garden salad, and Roasted Veggie Bowl. All were very good. Has outdoor seating as well.

Great service and excellent food. A menu with something fir everyone from traditional to plant-based (like us). Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Walked in to inquire about the menu, hours of operation etc. Was quite enthusiastic about having just discovered their location. Quite surprised to find the woman owner not warm & friendly. The food service business is entirely based on guest relations so it was immediately off putting to be spoken to in a way that came across that she is frustrated working there and really has no interest in the guest relations side of owning a cafe business. I will not be back.

Today my daughter, her 3 friends and I tried Session for the first time. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! The casual atmosphere was great, Nathan greeting you when you first come in, Cella on top of everything giving excellent service with a smile. No complaints. The food? FRESH AND DELICIOUS! SCRUMPTIOUS! Our table had The Nancy, Lox & Bagel, Strawberries & Cream French Toast and a Chicken Caes'. I had a bite of each and they were equally yummy. Honestly can't wait to go again. Also, LOVED sitting out on their back patio on this beautiful Sunday!
