Modern viewing platform with a beautiful panoramic view over the city. It’s a great spot to watch the sunset, but make sure to arrive early and book your tickets in advance. The structure is illuminated at night, creating a unique atmosphere. Student discounts are available.

Visiting Metropol Parasol — also known as Setas de Sevilla — was definitely a unique experience. The modern, wooden structure rises boldly in contrast to the surrounding historic buildings, and although its presence next to a church feels a little out of place, it’s undeniably fascinating. I chose to visit around sunset, which turned out to be a wonderful decision — the golden light over Seville’s rooftops was absolutely magical. Of course, I wasn’t the only one with that idea, so the walkways were quite crowded, but the breathtaking views made it more than worth it. Adding to the unforgettable experience, a sudden thunderstorm rolled in just as I was admiring the cityscape, making the visit even more dramatic and memorable. As part of the ticket, you also get to watch a short film about Seville’s history and culture, which is definitely worth seeing and adds a deeper layer to the experience. While the architecture of the Setas might not appeal to everyone, it offers a fresh, modern perspective on Seville and is absolutely worth visiting — especially for those unforgettable sunset views.

Google
A genuinely impressive and arresting sight when you round a corner and see it, night or day. Well worth doing the walkways on top for great views of the city (and check out the Roman ruins preserved beneath it). Surrounded by a bustling area full of places to eat or drink at reasonable places. Our second visit to Seville: we’ll be back.

Google
Definitely go at night or at sunset. They tend to run a little late so book your time before sunset to get in on time. Queues are long, but the staff do a good job of keeping people to their time slot. And once your time is called, they move quickly. Views are spectacular. Really glad we did it.

Google
This place looks really cool and impressive! You can buy a ticket to go upstairs, and the view of Seville from the top is great. There’s an elevator, so no need to walk up. They also have QR codes for an audio guide, so you can bring your headphones and enjoy the walk while learning more about the place. At the end, there’s a short video about Seville’s culture, which was a nice extra. I enjoyed the visit, but €16 felt a bit too much for what you get.

Google
Must do if you're in Sevillie, the views are amazing especially during sunset time so i highly recommend booking in advance and booking around 8:45 pm during summer since thats round about when the sun goes down. Make sure that you check the map and that you walk all the way around, its a bit confusing from the entrance which can lead you to the short path ending up at the 360 experience which is only at the end. After that its only exit, you cant turn around.

Google
Visit for the best sunset views! It’s worth the €16! You can return for the night show within 48 hours of using your ticket too (check t&c) I really enjoyed it but it was just a really hot day! We went up at 9:30ish and stayed there till 10:30. light show was 10pm.

Google
Location? Pretty central Do we need tickets? Yes, to go to the top How expensive? €16 Would I go again? May be. Is it worth a visit? Yes If you’re in Seville, you can’t miss this massive architecture. Largest wooden structure? Not quite, it’s a wooden structure supported by usual building materials, heavy metals etc. Views from top are actually marvellous on *a clear day*. Quite picturesque from below as well when lit during the night. During summers, it’s lit around 10 pm. The highlight for us wasn’t the structure but an immersive film/video that’s played in an auditorium on the top, ‘Feeling Seville’.

Yelp
Very unusual but modern landmark in the old quarter of Seville. A large wood structure with 5 levels. It has a restaurant, market, a performance square, museum and a rooftop with panoramic views of old Seville. Translated Las sepas is the mushrooms, Designed by German architect Jürgen A Mayer, completed in 2011. It's super cool to look at from different angles and great to just walk around it. You can buy a ticket to to go the museum, rooftop and if you go at night there's a light show. I just went during the day to check it off my list as a sight to see. Then felt the need to go back at night to see it lit up . Definitely try and see it. Something different in Seville. In an interesting part of town. Not the kind of landmark you'd expect. Still very cool !

Yelp
We had one full day in Seville, so we only had a handful of landmarks on our list of must-see's! I discovered LAS SETAS while perusing the internet on the bullet train and pre-booked our tickets for 15 EUR/Adult. The images online piqued my interest! The "Mushrooms of La Encarnación" is composed of 6 large mushroom-shaped parasols and it is the largest wooden structure in the world! I LOVED it here!!! Our ticket included a 15-minute "Feeling Sevilla" immersive experience in an air conditioned room (very important because it was hot & humid on Sept 27th!), access to the Viewing Platform, as well as a quick glimpse of the Antiquarium where archaeological remains from the Roman era. Plus, a few photo opps...my favorite was "I LOVE SEVILLA" sign!

Yelp
First, it is an amazing structure! And you can select the time you want to visit. But be warned, as you plan your ticket entry time/visit, don't believe the note that says "you can come back and visit 48 hours after your first visit." It's a scam!!! And the ladies working at the desk couldn't be any more rude. First of all, I was traveling with elderly parents and children and didn't know Seville comes alive after 8:30/9:00 pm. I made reservations for 6:00 pm, and then planned to return with the more mobile older adult and the teenager. Only to find out they wouldn't let us go back up until after 11:00 pm. When I asked where on the ticket or website it said anything about excluding the afternoon until 11:00 pm - all she could say was "I tell you", "yo te digo." So, they confirmed they weren't at capacity, they were still selling tickets to others but wouldn't honor their "come back in 48 hours" note that convinced me to buy the tickets at a specific time. Very dissatisfied with their customer service and their lack of information on the website that set expectations that could be unmet. All they had to do was have that information on the website and I would have selected another time. My family might have even enjoyed a night visit better because it was so punishingly hot when we came my husband nearly had a heatstroke. And although it says it is accessible, they could see my father walking with a cane but wouldn't let him use the elevator to get back up to the ground level after he climbed the entire thing. A little mercy for an 85 year old would have been nice.

Yelp
We feel so mixed about this place. Sure, it's neat to see it randomly in the city, and looks really cool at night. Are the views from walking around atop nice? Sure. Is it the most amazing artistic installation we've ever seen? Hmmm unsure about that. But if you want a place to peek over the top of Seville and beyond, and perhaps at or near sunset, grab a ticket and head up!
google avatar

Yelp
Really unique attraction in a more modern neighborhood of town, not exactly off the beaten path but definitely where real people live. The plaza was hot and had some construction when I visited--luckily I found an ice cream shop nearby so I could cool off from the sun.

Yelp
Very eye-catching & modern architecture, and worth a look - with several names: Las Setas de Sevilla, Metropol Parasol, and Mushrooms of the Incarnation. It's the world's largest wooden structure, and the structure is made up of half a dozen large parasols. I can't really see the parasols but it's amazing that all the pieces are made of wood. I don't think you can walk through Seville and NOT see the Mushrooms - it's a pretty bustling and central area, surrounded by eateries and shops. You can climb to the top for 10 euros ... but we chose to climb the top of La Giralda (bell tower) instead to get a better view of the city :)
google avatar

Daxata S.

Yelp
The Setas de Sevilla is a perfect example of a modern architectural brillante designed by the German architect Jurgen Mayer. This large wooden structure is an absolutely must visit place in Sevilla, as this piece of architecture can provide you jawdropping views- at day and at night! I prefered the night because you could see the sancing light better. You can buy tickets online or in the booth. The tickets to go upstairs is super cheap and well worth the price to enjoy city view or amazing lighting show at night! A highly recommended site in Seville!

Yelp
After trekking across Seville to see 'the mushrooms', I missed the memo about paying to go ON TOP, wasn't thrilled, but we proceeded forward. We had a nice walk around, enjoying the sunny day, obtaining a full 360 view of the city. The structure was quite interesting, as we navigated the waves, turns, and layout. But overall, it wasn't a mind blowing-breathtaking experience. The view-while nice, wasn't astounding. The most interesting part was seeing it up close, and learning that it was all wooden, which we could have done from the ground and saved $12. But we did get our free postcard with ticket!

Yelp
The Metropol Parasol is definitely worth while you're staying in Sevilla. It's really close to the old town in Sevilla and within walking distance. It does cost a few Euros to get to the top and walk around but you came all the way to Sevilla so might as well stop by! It's especially nice to see the city skyline during sunset!
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
Quite the structure, although the official name is the Metropol Parisol, everyone refers to it here as Las Setas (the mushrooms). Completed recently in 2011 it has its admirers as well as haters. Built of wood (let's hope it doesn't fall victim to termites ha ha), the twists and turns remind me of a snake skeleton rather than mushrooms. You get a mixture of the old and new in one setting. It costs about 3€ to take the elevator and then you get a printout for a "free drink." What cracks me up is that when you get to the cafe at the top, the "free drink" is really a coupon to get a drink for 1€. Like most free things in life, nothing is truly free.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Mushrooms like structure in the middle of Seville. We had a walk around sunset and enjoy a cool breeze. The structure is quite interesting especially if you like geometric buildings and patterns. But to some might be an eyesore. It is a wooden structure completed in April 2011 and claims to be the largest wooden structure in the world cost over 100 million €. There is also a farmer's market on the ground level that worth visiting since you are there already.
google avatar

Denise L.

Yelp
Pretty cool to see from the outside. If you want to spend several euros, you get to ride to the top, walk around, get a free drink, and a postcard. Very unique and different, worth visiting.

Yelp
It's very easy to go to Sevilla and only spend time near the Cathedral, Alcazar, and wandering the streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz--and you'd still have an amazing time! That area is area is beautiful, full of great bars and shops, and the view atop the Giralda is tough to beat. But I highly recommend exploring other parts of Sevilla as well, including the Setas (Metropol Parasol) and its surrounding neighborhoods. It was my favorite 'discovery' during a recent trip back to Sevilla (one of my fav cities in Spain/the world). The super modern structure, built in 2011 by a German architect, provides an awesome contrast to the historic old quarter it sits on/looms over...and shade, a valuable thing in the summer. It's rad to look at from the square across the street and walk under (there's a mercado at the base) but the real magic is taking an elevator to the top and walking around to get panoramic views of the city. For a few euros, it's well worth it. Con muchas ganas de volver.

Myla R.

Yelp
Good at night when it's cool- a bit expensive , 15 Euro's each. Well we were only here once, lol. It's a beautiful view at top and worth a few impressive photos.
google avatar

Rosie P.

Yelp
Total tourist trap. Save your 3€ per person and use it to go to the antiquarium just down the way. First bad sign was when the lady attempted to pocket an extra 5€ by not giving us it change. She also wasn't ringing people up, so I think she was pocketing everyone's 3€. After getting our change, we went up. This structure is not sound and was wobbling when people walked around. It is blazing hot and there is no shade anywhere to be found. The tickets entitles you to a free drink and free postcard. We went to get water and we're told it only gave us a 1€ discount. The views are ok. You can get better views from other buildings nearby. Don't waste your time going up. Just admire it from the safety of the ground.
google avatar

Paula L.

Yelp
Great shopping location. Lots of cafes and places to sit and relax or get a bite to eat. I heaT you can go inside to the top for a lovely view of Seville.

S S.

Yelp
It is quite something to see this in the middle of town. Make sure you do this either in the early morning or the evening - there is NO shade. Views all around. Wonderful market on the ground floor.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Oops, I missed the memo about paying to go ON TOP of the Mushroom, so I only visited the base. I visited on a Winter evening and there was absolutely nothing going on there. I did hear some music, so there might've been a bar/club in the basement, but otherwise, it's just a place to take some photos. Optimal views if you pay. I probably would have a different impression if there was a concert, souvenir stalls, or something else set-up there &/or if the weather was warmer to enjoy the views!
google avatar

Brianna B.

Yelp
This modern and walkable sculpture is super cool. As far as things to do in the city, it is definitely one of the cheaper activities. 3 euro gets you to the top of Las Setas where there is an overpriced café (I wouldn't waste your money here) and a lovely walkway that takes you all around the sculpture and gives you multiple views of the city. I'd say this is great early in the morning because the later in the day, the sun will be behind the cathedral, giving you glares if you try to take pictures that way!
google avatar

Charissa S.

Yelp
3 euros for a panoramic view of Seville? Count me in. Tip: the ticket booth and entrance is underneath the structure. Upon purchasing your ticket, you will receive a discounted coupon for a drink upstairs and a free postcard from their gift shop. Considering there's not much to do in Seville, this was a great way to kill time.
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
We question how long this thing will stay standing but love the design and way it pops up out of nowhere in the plaza of a neighborhood located a few streets away from the shopping district. Three euro will get you to the top and will provide you with a free drink at one of the restaurants at the base of Parasol. Bring your camera! This one-of-a-kind structure makes some pretty neat pictures.
google avatar

Rory M.

Yelp
The Metropol Parasol is a unique structure that stands out against the old-fashion Spanish style of Seville. This structure is unlike any other building in the city - very modern and like a sculptural piece of art. For a few euros, you can take an elevator to the top to walk along the upper level of the structure. The winding path gives you astonishing views of the city in all directions - beautiful at sunset! A perfect spot for pictures also. There are a few markets at the top/bottom.
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
If you wanna go full-tourist, with photo cameras and fanny packs galore, head here first. With the way the sunlight hits Las Setas. you almost can't take a bad picture here. The bar inside also serves Tinto de Veranos (red wine, lemon-lime soda). It'll make you wanna speak Spanish, albeit the only four phrases you learned from high school.
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
This is a really underused spot, and apparently most locals really don't like it. They call it the mushroom. It's an abstract, modern structure in an old world city, so it really does stick out like a sore thumb (similar to the one skyscraper on the outskirts of town). The locals, it seems, do not like change to their cute city and I can respect that. I thought it was a nice space with a lot of much needed shade in the hot hot summers. However, it's a completely empty space, so it's totally underused. They should put in a market upstairs (there is an indoor market below the structure with minimal hours - we were there in August though when the city practically shuts down). They could have an outdoor movie night up there, or put in some fun lounge chairs. There's a lot they can do to make this a more usable, interesting space, but for now, it's just something to look at. It's really architecturally interesting and it's absolutely massive, which is why it makes it all the more strange that's it's just totally empty. This is however a great spot for photographers. The trellis leaves beautiful shadows on the ground which makes for gorgeous photographs. I really thought this spot was interesting and worth the walk over, but I would really like to see it more used. It was completely empty - no people, no chairs and nothing to do. Unless you're into modern art and architecture, if you're short on time, you could probably skip seeing this. If you got some time, it's not far from the center of town, and totally worth popping over to see.
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
It's just a cool ass space, let's be real. Where else have you ever seen anything like this? It's a feat of engineering and a really fun design that looks all the more fun contrasted against the many historic buildings. It's a truly one of a kind, unique space to take in from every vantage point. Is it effective as a gathering place? I am not sure. There are certainly always plenty of people around there, but are they all tourists? I don't know. I know it's an instagrammers paradise, and if you are into photography and are in Spain, you should definitely get there. And definitely go up top! Get there right when they open at 10 so you don't have to battle huge crowds. Also nice that they give you a discount for a drink up on top and a "free gift" from the shop--your choice of 3 post card views.
google avatar

Marine B.

Yelp
That's a quite weird decision to have installed such a thing in the middle of Sevilla. It is not ugly or anything, just... of limited interest, let's say. However, for a €3 entrance fee, you get to have a nice view of Sevilla, a free postcard to promote the place, and a free drink at the small bar at the top. Not a bad deal, even if I wouldn't go twice. Just one attention point: the bar is very, very lame - zero good drink options and a gorilla dressed up as security guard who forbid people from using the chairs of the terrace (yep, stupid.)
google avatar

Bernadette S.

Yelp
A unique way to get ariel views of beautiful Seville. There is an entrance fee, it includes a beverage of your choice (soda, water or wine). it is a couple of blocks from the shopping pedestrian street near the El Corte Ingles. Nice views during the golden hour and they also light up the structure in the evening. Very instagram worthy lol.
google avatar

Geri C.

Yelp
This awesome looking building is one of our top five Seville must see attractions. And it did not disappoint. It's just a short walk from our hotel Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza. There is a clean Mercado right on site. When we visited early morning around 9 the escalator was still closed but by the time we walked by afternoon we saw tourists like us trying to capture the best pictures of this unique building.
google avatar

Sasha R.

Yelp
I really loved this place. I remembering seeing pics of the "big mushrooms" before visiting Sevilla, not knowing anything about it but knowing that I wanted to go check it out because it looked so cool, and it was! The entrance wasn't super noticeable at first....It is to the left of the escalators that are on street level. You pay 3 Euro, and that gets you a ticket to the top, as well as a complimentary glass of wine. Once you are up top, there is a restaurant if you want to snack, or you can just walk through the maze of stairs and enjoy the all around rooftop views of this beautiful city. It's also fun to go once the sun goes down, they light up the structure (see attached pic).
google avatar

Mandy A.

Yelp
What a cool spot! Grab a drink or a snack and enjoy the beautiful views. You can get to the top for only 3 euros. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area as well so you can hang out for awhile.
google avatar

Hermelinda S.

Yelp
Definitely worth the 3€ pp in the evening. Gorgeous view of the city and light up landmarks and churches.
google avatar

Steve V.

Yelp
We loved this place and it didn't cost much. Hang around down below at night and enjoy the mushroom "stems" mixed amongst the old buildings, and during the day go up top for a surreal view of the city in all directions. Awesome for photographers.
google avatar

Pablo D.

Yelp
Lovely Square (Plaza de la Encarnacion) with the Metropol Parasol wooden structure with colourful lighting in the evenings. Very interesting from an architectural viewpoint (thank you, creator Jürgen Mayer). It certainly worth a visit!!!
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Cool structure, but when we visited, we couldn't go up. We just walked around underneath it and admired the structure. There honestly wasn't too much to do because we couldn't go up; I'm somewhat bummed about that!
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
What a great view of the city for such an affordable price. €3 for admission and a complementary drink from the bar on top. If you're lucky, you'll even get a table with a view.
google avatar

Sifah M.

Yelp
Had about 8 or 9 plates here, pork loin, some weird Chinese stir fry noodles, i don't even remember the rest it was completely forgettable. Cheaply made. None of the dishes were good enough to finish. Wouldn't come back here. Beer was ok i guess. Waiters were nice. Food was basura.
google avatar

Marta B.

Yelp
Pretty cool, especially when youre a fan of art installations in public spaces, like me. Las Setas did change the Pl. de Encarnación, and they did modernise up the gorgeous city of Sevilla. They are useful as a meeting point when setting up encounters with friends, they are great to show people when they come visit. It's also nice to sit on them, when you have nothing else to do (and they're usually crowded with bored teenagers). Definitely worth visiting in the night, from the rooftop you can see the panorama of the city. Las Setas are surrounded by nice bars and clubs, so the area is worth hanging out for a while.
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
I found this structure located in central Seville one of the most underrated attractions to see here. Seville is an old city and I appreciate it for that, but seeing a well designed modern structure floating above the surrounding buildings presents such a contrast that it can't be ignored. I especially like the way it straddles the street below making it seem like an alien spaceship coming in for a landing. You can take the space aged elevator to the top and walk around the structure on a suspended catwalk. The views of the surrounding city are fantastic.

H M.

Yelp
For €3 a person you can't beat the view of this modern art piece. It's kind of refreshing to see this unique structure in such an old world city. I'm sure the views would be more beautiful at dusk. Would definitely go back!
google avatar

Ellen L.

Yelp
"las setas" means "mushrooms" in spanish, and this structure is literally shaped like several giant mushrooms, fused together, but with lots of textures and shading....not to mention staircases leading up to floor 2! this landmark was super close to our hotel in sevilla, so we decided to make this our first tourist attraction after checking in. there's a market inside, and you can take the staircase to the second level where you can see nice views of the city, but we didn't shop or go upstairs, just decided to walk around this vast structure and observe it from all sides. this is definitely something that you will not find in the states, and something that i have yet to see in any other european country. this is definitely a unique landmark to see as you can tell all your friends at home that you visited sevilla and saw a giant mushroom!
google avatar

Kaitlyn H.

Yelp
Not only is "the mushroom" an icon of Sevilla, but it's a great piece of modern art. Like any good tourist attraction, you can take an elevator ride to the top. Grab your iPhone and get some good selfies while you're up there, it's a 360 view of the Sevilla skyline! Take your time and enjoy the walk, even if it's in the summer heat. Pack some sunglasses!

Lil D.

Yelp
Worthy of a visit if you have time and are nearby. Nothing was happening when we visited around 3pm. Some locals enjoyed sunbathing and napping on the plaza and a few skateboarders zoomed around. If you go up to the top for a small fee, you get a good aerial view of Seville. Very interesting structure indeed.

Melanie C.

Yelp
You can get a great view of the city from here and it is a very interesting structure. Entry is cheap. Only 3 euros and you get a free small gift fro the gift shop and a free drink at the top of the structure. Worth the visit.
