My husband and I absolutely loved this restaurant and the people. We loved it so much we went two days in a row. During our vacation which started in Edinburgh, we had eaten at some critically acclaimed restaurants - but this establishment took the win. The Scottish Stovies dish was ridiculously good and my husband loved the venison stew. My diet requires me to eat Gluten Free, the options (even dessert) were amazingly good. Martin (the owner) is such a warm person and we were fortunate to meet him on his birthday. I can’t say enough good things about this place and my only regret was that we didn’t stay at the Sligachan Hotel during our time on Isle of Skye.

Came here on a Sunday for dinner. They only had one menu item, the Sunday roast. I thought that was a little weird but whatever, there's not a lot of options around. It was really good. A little expensive but a good hearty meal and good portions.

A pound to use the restroom is high. They are getting lots of traffic because at a spot lots of tourists stop. Bar was plenty busy. Drinks also expensive. Got a coffee with Bailey's and the cup is tiny. Bathroom was clean but my experience in other Scottish towns leaves not real impressed with this bar. There is wifi if a customer.

Absolutely fantastic pub/bar/restaurant! If you’re on the isle of sky this is the only pub you should be going to! The haggis, divine! The vibes, very good! The staff, really friendly! The music, fitting ;)! The whiskey selection, never ending! Also, I’m an aspalls lover and they have it on tap!!! In short, 5000/10 go here!

The Seumas bar is connected to the Sligachan hotel. Although I didn’t experience the hotel as we were camping 3min’s walk across the road at the Sligachan camp site, the bar is very well located, lots of seating and very popular during the travel season. In the winter season the bar moves back into the hotel bar and still remains the fully stocked whisky selections. The Seumas bar also from time to time has local musicians (we only experienced a couple of young lads (twins or brothers I think) we’re playing very traditional sounds to give a very local experience. As we stayed for four nights at the camp site across the road for hiking we thus had the time to try many of the menu favourites from Haggis and tats, burger and the salmon. Well recommend to try the restaurant food on your visit if you have time or simply sit in the bar area where you can have bar food. Service was also super quick on each occasion although the restaurant was around 50% to 60% full. Now the Seumas bar Whisky selection,,,,, wow this is the experience with a very memorable trip to the Isle of Skye. The whiskey selection is greater than 280 bottles and thus a very wide choice from all over Scotland and a far. You can also find a few Japanese selections in the mix. Prices vary, but reasonable (so many to choose from), and up to some very special, a bit pricier, Whiskey experiences if your budget allows. At the Seumas you are also able to have a whisky tasting experiences in the afternoon and there are tours to this bar to facilitate this. The staff are super fantastic and friendly and happy to share experiances of whiskey’s, the local area and best ways to taste different flavours from this super wide selection and the staff have such wide knowledge of Whiskies to help you find the best one that suits you or just to try. One Whiskey my brother said I should try that he had personally tried a very long time ago is a whisky called “As We Get It”, note he’s. Or a whisky drinking like me but this one he likes. It’s a whisky to try during your whisky tour so simple ask for it. Some others bars might not have this but we did find it at the Seumas Bar. I had more than one dram!

Seuma's Bar is a solid spot! Great comfort food that hits the spot. Plenty of parking makes it easy to stop by, and there's enough space inside to grab a comfy seat. Sounds like a chill place to grab a bite and relax.

Pretty good burger! Service was really fast and the hosts were very kind. Self-service water. Location is nice basically next to the Sligachan bridge. Did have to get up a couple times for my own for and napkins, but whatevs. Has plenty of seating to accommodate a lot of people

Yelp
The best fish and chips. I've never had such delicious fish & chips in the USA. The menu was small though. It's conveniently located if you are staying in the hotel, or beed a hot meal and drink after hiking. The Fairy pools (strenuous hike) is nearby, so you'll need sustenance afterwards. Service is good, it's a friendly place with sports bar ambiance and a few hundred types of whiskey.

Yelp
The host sat us at a great table not too close to the live music. You get your drinks up at the bar with a great selection of everything. The fish and chips were very good, but the stand out was the Cullen Skink stew. Very hearty, with large pieces of smoked fish, and potatoes. I wish I could have take a gallon of it home!

Yelp
We had lunch on the Isle of Skye after visiting the Fairy Pools. Seumas' bar was the most perfect spot it seemed, since it really was the only spot we'd noticed. We were able to find parking, use the facilities and take a spot. After a quick review of the menu and a short discussion the Scot made way to the counter and placed our orders. I got the soup (Stilton and broccoli - I now like that a lot) And he got a burger. We got our cans of coke, which tastes so much better there, and sat at our table. Not long after, our food was delivered. The soup in a large crock with a crusty roll and the burger looked delish. We were most certainly hungry too, since we ate with relish and rarely spoke. We opted to get dessert here, and chose the Sticky Toffee pudding.. It was good, but it tasted as though it had burnt a bit, not bad, but not the best, and it came with a melon ball scoop of ice cream.

Yelp
Dreaming about the highlands, crushed that we aren't on a plane next month like we planned. I haven't been back since 2018, and I realized that I never reviewed my favorite meal of the trip! The small details are hard to remember, but everything about our visit was awesome. We were hunting for waterfalls while driving around Skye, and stopped at the Seumas Bar on a whim. Their list of spirits is IMPRESSIVE, and the bar is definitely a sight to behold. Haddock and chips are always my go-to. These and the mushy peas were a source of comfort and awakening. There's something to be said for me wistfully dreaming about it now.

Yelp
A local Pub feeling at the Bar. Room for large groups. Order at the counter and they deliver to your table. I've posted updated menu. Food was good. Not much around this area.

Yelp
After a week of pub food, we were reluctant. But frankly, on this part of Skye your options are limited. Imagine our delight to find out this place is wonderful! Dog friendly. Healthy and tasty. Good beer. Great views!

Yelp
This is a great stop, and it's right next to a view point for looking at, or hiking into, the Cuillin Mountains. After a wee stroll a little way up the hill at the view point, we drove over to the bar and stopped in for lunch. They did a great job with allergen labeling on the menus, and it's easy to determine what contains any of 14 allergens, including wheat and gluten. I had the Cullen Skink with gluten free bread and a side salad, and my companion had the veggie burrito plate. I really enjoyed my soup and he seemed to like the burrito - plus the service was great and the place just has a good vibe. Great place to stop while crossing Skye, about 10 miles from Portree.

Yelp
Excellent food and brilliant service. One of the best places to eat in Skye!!! You must try the fish and chips, extremely tasty and fresh.
