Lively hotel bar in a stunning location. Has a couple of ales on tap as well as a choice of bottled ale. Guinness is good too. Serves food with large dining area. Hundreds of whiskeys on offer if that’s your thing. I sat in here for a couple of hours on the Guinness. I was never short of someone to chat to as it had a steady flow of customers coming and going. Offers accommodation obviously and there’s a campsite opposite. Good for people watching and chatting. Also there’s another hotel bar next door but it’s dead! Dog friendly. 🍻 🥃 🍹 🏕️ 🚐 ⛰️ 🐕 🥾

I really liked it there. The food was really nice, I was surprised about the nice big bowl of soup I got. We shared the chips because it was such a huge portion I couldn't handle it on my own. The beer was great also. I was very happy with the service, the gentleman showed us to our table and immediately fetched a biscuit for my little dog. She was then happily snoozing on my lap while we were eating.

Absolutely once of my favourite places to shelter from the weather. The staff behind the bar are knowledgeable and super friendly. Visited a few years back and camped at Sligachan Campsite across the way. So we stayed in the bar and happily spent a small fortune on whiskey sheltering from a storm. Visited again yesterday briefly and memories didn't disappoint. I think it's going to be on our list every time we visit Skye Didn't try the food but can say it looks beautiful

Thank you so much, Pete, Matt Janus, Martin and all the other staff and locals who's names we didn't get during our 10 day stay on Slingachan campsite. Shame we don't live closer we would be regulars. Food absolutely brilliant, must try Cullen skink and Mac and Cheese far to much but damn good food, together. Cilla dog made to feel as welcome as we were hope to visit again. Nicky

Great bar in the middle of nowhere. But perfect pitstop in the middle of many things to view. We ended up passing multiple times on our explorations around Skye. And popped in each time. Dog friendly. Good beer (and whiskey) selection. Didn't eat but the food looked good!

After hiking for the whole day we were excited for a nice hot meal and a pint, but were left disappointed for the most part. The local beer was nice and the service at the bar was ok. However, the food was exceptionally bad. The chicken in the sandwich looked like it was a few days old, the bread was very soggy on the bottom and the taste was disappointing. The tuna sandwich still had a piece of the plastic wrap on the bottom, which indicates the sandwiches were not fresh. Was definitely expecting more for a 16 pound sandwich. It seemed like the server was always distracted by something else, felt like we were low on his priority list. Pictures of the food included.

We wanted a nice pub meal and a few pints, but this is definitely a ‘get em in, feed em quick, get em gone’ type of establishment. We asked for a table, and someone started to show us to a table, but unfortunately got distracted by another customer he seemed to know, which left six of us standing behind him looking awkward. Two of our party headed for the bar, which was chaotic and understaffed. There were no Skye Ales available. During the time they were there, we were asked to order no less than 3 times. When we did order food, we had to pay at the table on ordering! I can only imagine they get a lot of runners! Food arrived very quickly and was actually very good. However, they were showing the euros, so we stayed and enjoyed a few pints, but they started putting tables on chairs at 10pm, very unwelcoming, considering there were others including families watching. If you’re going to show sports, at least make guests feel welcome while watching. Small, snacky type menu, not a relaxing experience overall, windows need a clean!

Stayed at Sligachan in 2019 and went to Seamus’ Bar multiple times because we enjoyed the ambiance and the food. I remember really liking it there so upon my return to Skye this past week, I made sure to go. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. The bartenders were friendly and fast. The beer selection is good but the wine quality is terrible. The food really went downhill since last time I was there. Their “famous” beef burger - a highlight of the menu - was so bland. The falafel burger had much more flavor than the beef burger. The brioche bun was just meh … Flavor and quality lacking all around. The servers were very inattentive and we had to flag them down to order, which I hate doing. It’s also annoying that you have to order food from the servers but get your own drinks for the bar. I prefer it one way or the other. It was just a very forgettable, bland experience which isn’t worth the price because we had a burger of EXCELLENT, perhaps unparalleled quality two nights later at Red Skye restaurant for the same price with far more attentive service in a warm, inviting space.

Yelp
The best fish and chips. I've never had such delicious fish & chips in the USA. The menu was small though. It's conveniently located if you are staying in the hotel, or beed a hot meal and drink after hiking. The Fairy pools (strenuous hike) is nearby, so you'll need sustenance afterwards. Service is good, it's a friendly place with sports bar ambiance and a few hundred types of whiskey.

Yelp
The host sat us at a great table not too close to the live music. You get your drinks up at the bar with a great selection of everything. The fish and chips were very good, but the stand out was the Cullen Skink stew. Very hearty, with large pieces of smoked fish, and potatoes. I wish I could have take a gallon of it home!

Yelp
We had lunch on the Isle of Skye after visiting the Fairy Pools. Seumas' bar was the most perfect spot it seemed, since it really was the only spot we'd noticed. We were able to find parking, use the facilities and take a spot. After a quick review of the menu and a short discussion the Scot made way to the counter and placed our orders. I got the soup (Stilton and broccoli - I now like that a lot) And he got a burger. We got our cans of coke, which tastes so much better there, and sat at our table. Not long after, our food was delivered. The soup in a large crock with a crusty roll and the burger looked delish. We were most certainly hungry too, since we ate with relish and rarely spoke. We opted to get dessert here, and chose the Sticky Toffee pudding.. It was good, but it tasted as though it had burnt a bit, not bad, but not the best, and it came with a melon ball scoop of ice cream.

Yelp
Dreaming about the highlands, crushed that we aren't on a plane next month like we planned. I haven't been back since 2018, and I realized that I never reviewed my favorite meal of the trip! The small details are hard to remember, but everything about our visit was awesome. We were hunting for waterfalls while driving around Skye, and stopped at the Seumas Bar on a whim. Their list of spirits is IMPRESSIVE, and the bar is definitely a sight to behold. Haddock and chips are always my go-to. These and the mushy peas were a source of comfort and awakening. There's something to be said for me wistfully dreaming about it now.

Yelp
A local Pub feeling at the Bar. Room for large groups. Order at the counter and they deliver to your table. I've posted updated menu. Food was good. Not much around this area.

Yelp
After a week of pub food, we were reluctant. But frankly, on this part of Skye your options are limited. Imagine our delight to find out this place is wonderful! Dog friendly. Healthy and tasty. Good beer. Great views!

Yelp
Great place to have a drink! Very nice atmosphere and warm service. The food is good :)

Yelp
This is a great stop, and it's right next to a view point for looking at, or hiking into, the Cuillin Mountains. After a wee stroll a little way up the hill at the view point, we drove over to the bar and stopped in for lunch. They did a great job with allergen labeling on the menus, and it's easy to determine what contains any of 14 allergens, including wheat and gluten. I had the Cullen Skink with gluten free bread and a side salad, and my companion had the veggie burrito plate. I really enjoyed my soup and he seemed to like the burrito - plus the service was great and the place just has a good vibe. Great place to stop while crossing Skye, about 10 miles from Portree.

Yelp
Excellent food and brilliant service. One of the best places to eat in Skye!!! You must try the fish and chips, extremely tasty and fresh.
