The most expensive cacao I ever had
Yesterday I attended a cacao rave at the Seva Experience wellness center, and honestly, it left me very disappointed.
Yes, the place itself is beautiful — the garden is lovely, the energy of people and dancing was nice. But aside from drinking cacao, a short 5-minute gratitude ritual to cacao/Mother Earth, and dancing to the same type of DJ + drum music you can hear in many other venues in Dubai… there wasn’t much else. For 300 AED, I expected something more meaningful, structured, or unique.
The cacao itself wasn’t delicious at all — very bitter, with ginger and other spices that actually made me feel bloated and uncomfortable. I spent 1 hour in traffic coming from Marina and paid another 150 AED for a taxi, which makes the experience feel even less worth it.
Honestly, you can go to places like Amazonico, order a drink for half the price, and enjoy the same without leaving disappointed.
The only positive part? I met an interesting person and we became friends — and for that I’m grateful. But overall, this event felt overpriced, underwhelming, and not worth the money or time.
