The Best Things to Do at Disney World: The Rides and Beyond | Condé Nast Traveler

"The newest roller coaster at Disney's Magic Kingdom is a family-friendly ride that takes you inside the mine shaft with the Seven Dwarfs as they collect gems and jewels—and, of course, sing along the way. The ride is broken up with scenes more typical of a classic dark ride, with audio animatronics of the Seven Dwarfs, Snow White, and the Evil Queen. Just be sure to plan ahead: The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has some of the longest wait times at the Magic Kingdom, with the standby line routinely topping 90 minutes." - Valerie Marino

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a roller coaster and one of the top rides at Magic Kingdom. The ride is fast, fun, and full of twists and turns, making it exciting for all ages. We waited about an hour in line, but it was worth it once we got to ride. The queue has fun activities to help pass the time, like spinning barrels that show cool images when you turn them. Overall, it's a must-try ride that combines thrills and Disney magic. If you can, try to get a Lightning Lane pass to save time!

Google
Five star experience for the ride. Three star experience for the wait. This is one of those rides with a line that gets extremely long extremely fast. If you don’t plan ahead, you will likely spend most of your day at Disney waiting on this ride. The upside is the line moves relatively quickly as long as the ride doesn’t shut down for any period of time. Most of the times we have been here, though, the ride shut down for 15 20 or even 30 minutes and it prolongs your wait.

We acted wisely to come early and the moment we saw a small queue we entered in the queue for Seven Dwarfs. Very fine details have been carefully crafted to match the name for the ride. A must see ride !

I loved it! It was one of the newer rides that we had as a top priority. I think we had a virtual queue group starting at 12:10. I thought it was a Genie Plus lightning lane, but I don't think so. That part is a big blur. The line was long, but quick. It was very efficient. Anyway, it's a smooth roller coaster ride through the Seven Dwarfs Mine. There was only one medium sized drop, but it was mostly turns and some swaying. We were in the very last row of the mine train. It was great! It's a ride that I'd repeat over and over again. It has always been my favorite Disney fairytale. I even had chills hearing every "Hi-Ho" through the tunnel, and that's just from pure nostalgia. I remember being scared of the witch in the original ride when I was 6 years old. Haha! There is a witch, but she's not as scary. It's a fun ride for all ages.

Google
I like this ride. It’s a little bit like big thunder. The animatronics at the end of the ride are original from the scary Snow White ride from back in the day before this attraction came along. The line is long in the morning time frame but it’s worth doing in the evening time before or during the fireworks show. This ride is good for people of all ages and even for little kids that are tall enough to ride it for the first time.

Customer service was not good. I took my 12 year old daughter and my 40 year old sister to Disney Magic Kingdom on 8/2/25 around 3:15pm. We went on the 7 dwarfs ride. My sister sat with my daughter in front and I sat in the back. My sister panicked before the ride started and ask to leave. I asked the same person to let me move next to my young daughter so she would not sit by herself. The attendant told me no, it is too late and would not release me from the seat safety bar. I was panicking about my daughter’s wellbeing. Thankfully my daughter was ok, but I was tense the entire ride. It was a terrible experience

A Magical Halloween Adventure I'm still buzzing from the enchantment of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Disney World's Halloween party! This ride is a masterpiece of storytelling and immersive theming. From the moment you step onto the adorable mine train cars, you're transported into the whimsical world of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The attention to detail is simply breathtaking. Every nook and cranny of the mine is filled with vibrant colors, intricate carvings, and charming dwarven touches. The animatronics are incredibly lifelike, bringing the characters to life in a way that's both heartwarming and thrilling. The ride itself is a delightful blend of gentle thrills and enchanting storytelling. The winding track, gentle dips, and delightful surprises make it a perfect experience for all ages. And let's not forget the stunning Halloween decorations that add a touch of spooky magic to the already magical atmosphere. If you're a Disney fan, this is a must-do experience. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a true gem that will leave you smiling and feeling the magic of Disney long after you've disembarked.

Google
In my opinion, this ride is more intense than Slinky Dog, but it is better than Big Thunder Mountain. Although all three are awesome. The audio animatronics are beyond spectacular. It focuses mostly on the Seven Dwarfs. Snow White is only seen at the end of the ride with the witch. Families of children should take note of the height requirements and the intensity of this ride when deciding to ride. Although it is not as intense as Tron, Expedition Everest, or Rock & Roller. Even though the line moves at a pretty fair rate, I recommend Fastpass. Although certain times of the year, the standby line moves more quickly (non-peak season). Enjoy.

Yelp
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of the signature rides here at the Magic Kingdom. This is one of the newer rides in the park so it's still very popular. Even at a rope drop ever and seems to be running in this direction in order to beat the wait. The ride is pretty fun and it's almost like a mix of big thunder mountain with seven dwarfs and Snow White. I would also imagine this is why it Space Mountain would be like if it was outdoors. It's also amazing how they take the pictures and video of you when you're on the ride. So definitely check your magic band and your my Disney experience account afterwards. The queue is pretty fun there are lots of different things to do while in line I am not normally a germaphobe but seeing all the different hands touch everything kept me away but I was very tempted. This is definitely a ride to get on if possible and I would make this a priority. The line can get long so keep an eye out on it to see when it's worth committing and getting in line.

Yelp
Since this was my first time staying as a guest on the Disneyworld Resort, we got early access to the parks. As soon as the first shuttle came and dropped us off, we immediately headed to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The standby line usually runs around 60-90 minutes. Even with early access, we still waited for an hour or so until the ride actually opened! The coaster has riders seated in a barrel that sways and tips indoors and outdoors and is geared towards families with scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I missed the opportunity to ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train during my first visit, and now that I've gotten the chance my second time around, the experience is not worth the hype... the ride is too quick and doesn't have enough thrills.

Yelp
This is one of the newer rides in the magic kingdom. It's a smooth, fast, and fun ride for the whole family!

Yelp
I absolutely adore this ride anytime we come to Magic Kingdom we have to ride seven drawers by train. It is my daughter's most favorite ride there. I know that they say it's a kitty coaster but I'm telling you the majority of older adults that have gone on this ride with us will never ever write it again they were scared out of their mind with all the dips and such but we absolutely love it. Honestly it's not a wild roller coaster there's just a couple of dips and it's fast but it's so cute and the music is great! I absolutely love this ride!
google avatar

Dani J.

Yelp
I say this about a lot of Disney rides: but this is one of my favorites. Definitely my favorite of anything this millenium. It's so smooth and it keeps the theming and the line is also fun. And it's not without its thrills.

Yelp
I loved this roller coaster. I'm more of a fan of high speed roller coasters but even this one was awesome. One of the things that I loved most about this ride was the theming. I loved the scene where you are riding inside of the mine. I enjoyed this ride so much and I believe it's worth the long wait or the extra lighting lane purchase.
google avatar

Yelp
Weird ride lol Doesn't seem like a kids ride, but it's over with all the other kids rides. And it's a Snow White and the seven dwarfs ride. But it goes pretty fast. Then there's times during the ride where it goes really slow, and stops abruptly. It is kind of odd lol I don't know what to make of this ride really. It's okay I guess overall. The gems and stuff while you are in line for the ride are pretty cool and fun.

Yelp
I may be one of the few who enjoyed this ride. I'm not a fan of rollercoasters and even this "baby coaster" riled up my nerves. I'll premise this by saying I had the Park Hopper ticket and only planned on riding a few attractions in Magic Kingdom before I traveled to Epcot. Seven Dwarfs was at the top of the list. With a wait time of 50 minutes, it seemed ideal compared to the 110 minutes I've seen a few times in the app (out of curiosity, I wasn't in the park on those days). The 50 minutes went by quick as I read a book the whole time. The ride was good. Definitely made my stomach drop and my hands jittery (I think that's normal?). Would I do it again? Yes, but the wait time will definitely have to be 50 minutes or less. I can't justify standing in line for an hour or more for this ride.
google avatar

Arlene M.

Yelp
The Seven Dwarfs Mine train has been an extremely popular ride since it opened in the Magic Kingdom. Wait times can range from over an hour and half to even longer. This was another ride I decided to "take the plunge" and purchase an individual lightning lane. Needless to say the investment paid off. Within 5 minutes we were at the front of the ride and ready to board. The ride is cute. It's a coaster that doesn't go overly fast but still has turns and twists to it. I loved seeing the mine near the end and as you wait to enter the boarding area you can see Snow White dancing with the dwarfs inside their cottage. I actually enjoyed this ride. The focus of the attraction is more on the dwarfs than on Snow White and you can see some of their "gems" in the queuing area. Ride it once while you are here. I'm not sure I'd wait 75 minutes just to board it. Located in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
It's a fun ride, pretty much for anyone ... but I can tell you, normally, it's at least a two hour wait!
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
This was the first ride we went on when we first entered Magic Kingdom. There was a large crowd that was also lining up to ride this ride so I recommend coming here earlier when there's less of a line. This was a fun rollercoaster ride that had a nice little surprise to the right when the ride is over.
google avatar

Faith G.

Yelp
Pretty fun! Long wait, short ride. Not REALLY worth it but I recommend if you having extra time on your hands or you have a fast pass.
google avatar

Marianne W.

Yelp
Seven Dwarfs and Snow White were a huge memory from childhood. When I was growing up little girls were filled with the nonsense of the Prince saving us! My favorite characters were the Dwarfs! When my daughter was little I stressed the Dwarfs in the story and naturally we enjoy this ride through adulthood. I'm definitely recommending!
google avatar

Brett J.

Yelp
This is a rollercoaster that will make your stomach turn! A fast ride with small drops wild turns and lots of speed! It doesn't last long but for the time you are on you will have a thrill a second! Well worth using your lighting pass on this one as the line can get up to 2 hours long. This is a must ride for anyone who loves coasters... it does not go upside down but it is a blast of a ride. We rode it 3 times while we were here and I think it was one of my kids favorites.
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
(Late review from October - November 2022) I gotta say for only riding this rollercoaster ride once, it's not memorable at all. As a matter of fact, the ride was less than a minute or 45 seconds? It just felt like as soon we sat down, got fastened with the seatbelt, the ride started, and then it was done. The ride time is too short to justify extremely lengthy wait times for this newer attraction. Even buying a Genie Fast Pass wouldn't be worth it. It's a knock-off, C-grade version of classic Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Let the high wait times die down for this ride and then ride it because you're not missing much from not riding this gimmicky coaster.
google avatar

Anthony F.

Yelp
This is one terrible ride that is over hyped. Why are there so many people lining for this thing? I find that there are a lot more better rides than this one. For example the Everest one in AK is wayyyy more fun but has wayyyy less people. Also because of LL and GP or whatever. They kept letting in those folks and the advertised 65 mins turned into 120 mins.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
This was our last ride of the night and the most "rollercoaster" you'll be seeing me get! This was anxiety-inducing for sure. There were a lot of those (at least 2 or 3??) tracks where they slowly bring you up and the track is clicking the whole time! The payoff each time was a bit "underwhelming," but I preferred it as such because I hate the DROPS! These would drop you for just a bit before curving off to one side or another, which would damper the drops. They still weren't pleasant, but I could stomach them without being thrown into a panic attack, so I would be willing to do this ride again. But was it worth the amount of time we waited in line, which was a little over an hour?? Now that I don't know.....but if my friends are really motivated to do this ride again next time, I'd stand with them in line I suppose! Although...there are so many rides throughout this park calling my name that I would much rather ride again ALONE rather than wait in line for this one haha! Either way, it's not bad I'd say and is a good "intermediate" rollercoaster for the rollercoaster-hesitant like me! Certainly not a must-ride for me by any stretch of the imagination though!
google avatar

Danielle V.

Yelp
Great ride for kids, just okay for adults. It's a mini roller coaster and goes a little fast but not too fast. While waiting in line you can play with the gems and the theming is cool. The line is always so long for this ride and I wouldn't wait for it. I understand the appeal but just isn't my favorite ride.
google avatar

Pravash M.

Yelp
One of our fam's fave rides. Lines can be long, but Disney thinks of everything -- lots of stuff to see and interact with in line (easter eggs galore), even places to stash your stuff on the ride. Lots of high speed twists, turns, and rail car action. Totally worth the wait, especially considering the above average run time!
google avatar

Jared G.

Yelp
We walked by this ride on our first day at Magic Kingdom and I was amazed at how smooth and quiet it was. At a railing 5 feet away it rolled by like a whisper! I am not a roller coaster person, but I saw how smooth it moved and how the cars tilted with the turns to make it less jarring. On our second day in Magic kindgom I went on with my wife and it was fun! The boys thought it looked scary but we had also kinda tricked them into Splash Mountain so they weren't gonna be convinced! A few quick drops but more of a fast turn ride. I enjoyed it and would have done it again but the line was always long. We paid the extra fee to get a time reserved.
google avatar

Austin B.

Yelp
I'm not sure why there are so many mediocre, in terms of upset reviews, for this ride because I for one think that this is one of the most detailed at magical rides at Magic Kingdom! The scenery in the queue is gorgeous, making you actually think you are in the village where the Seven Dwarfs live. Before you load into the ride itself you end up in the mining cave and you can see some gorgeous gems omitting some beautiful colors all around. It is insane how smooth this ride is, and surprisingly how fast it is for a child roller coaster. If you sit in the last row be sure to hold on because you will be flying through the ride. The curves and drops are a lot of fun and a couple are very unexpected. What is amazing about this ride is that the section of the car key or in actually sways back and forth while you are right again giving you an enhanced riding experience. My favorite part of the ride is the middle of it when you go through the caves and you see all seven dwarfs mining some gems. Everything about this portion of the ride is truly magical from the animatronics to the colors that they used to bring this portion to life. All of this is before you hit the top drop and to send back to the unloading dock. Truly a lot of fun however I don't think I would ever wait longer than an hour on this ride. The right is extremely short and never worth the wait in my opinion. I will say though be on the lookout for the evil witch near the end of the ride...
google avatar

Benny H.

Yelp
Pretty good, but not great. One of the longest waits, but it's unique. It's a mini coaster with it being Snow White themed. The coaster is pretty basic, but it's Disney. It's fun, but don't expect to be wowed.
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
So fun! Worth it if you can get a lightning lane pass. It's basically Thunder Mountain Railroad with a Snow White theme. My favorite part was the recreation of the mining scene from the movie, with glowing gems and adorable characters. That said, it does get pretty fast near the end, so if you're not into faster rides, you might want to give it a miss.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
I don't have words to describe this ride except that it's 100000% worth the wait. So many beautiful things and you see the characters at the end including the witch. It is family friendly. The line has amazing decor / entertaining and since the wait was soooo long we only rode it once. Just absolutely perfect!!! LOVED IT !!
google avatar

Janelle F.

Yelp
Seriously, can you have more than one favorite? I think so and the mine train is one of mine. One of the best roller coasters in Magic Kingdom. It's creative, cute and just plain fun to ride. It's fast, but not scary and not so jumpy it's hurting your back. Worth buying the lightning pass to me.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
I think this is a great ride. I wish this ride was also at Disneyland. It's fun for all ages. The line can get super long though.
google avatar

Monique W.

Yelp
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of the newer rides in Magic Kingdom within Disney World. This is a family friendly roller coaster. My family and I visited Disney World at the end of July. No fast passes were available, however, the waistline wasn't too bad. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes to hop on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Social distancing markers were setup for the queue. The queue did wrap around, almost past the Winnie the Pooh ride, towards Ariel's ride. The roller-coaster is pretty fast with a few small drops and turns. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is snow white themed and the story goes through some of the highlights of the movie. There is a photo pass and a video while you're on the train ride, which is super cool! This is one of the smoothest roller-coaster rides in the Theme park and it is short compared to most of the rides in Magic Kingdom. If the fast pass system comes back, I'd highly recommend grabbing one for this ride.
google avatar

Anne F.

Yelp
I've never had to wait in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We either get a fast pass, or we skip it, the line is always well over an hour wait. I feel like I usually see it closer to the two hour or longer wait times. If this is your one and only Disney trip and you enjoy more thrill rides, it's worth the wait for sure! This is not a coaster like Rock n' Rollercoaster, full of speed, upside down, etc. But it goes fast, gives you a few great views of the park, integrates the story, and gives you an excellent Disney adventure when you need to get "It's a Small World" out of your head. There is a photo moment, so make sure you have your best "coaster face" ready to go so you will capture the memory and have a good laugh after the ride. They even have a video camera at one point. I see you, Disney- and I like what you're doing.
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
There's a fun little coaster that takes you want a nice little adventure through the diamond mines that the seven dwarfs worked at during the movie. It's a nice adventurous ride that we really enjoyed we wrote it. Those little story the old-school wooden roller coaster so nice adventure ride to check out
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
One of my favorite rides. Not just a roller coaster ride that moves forward, the mine cars also swing side to side. This gives it a much different feel as opposed to other coaster. We try to get on it at least once a visit - hopefully more. If you aren't paying to avoid the line it's worth the wait. There's some interactive stuff in the "standby line" to keep the kids attention.
google avatar

Jacky C.

Yelp
This is the newest ride introduced to Magic Kingdom. Because of this, it is the longest line you will have to wait in if you're not out at the park before 8:30AM ready to pounce when they drop that rope. This rollercoaster does not have dramatic big drops, but enough for those seeking a good amount of trill in their life. The ride has three different sections where there's the ride, then a slow viewing section, then repeat two more times. Overall a fun ride with cute features, but not worth waiting around if there's other better things to do with a shorter wait time.
google avatar

Gabriel S.

Yelp
We loved this ride and got to do it with a fast pass. There was always an hour plus wait time. The ride is about 2 min after you are seated. Its a fun and fast themed rollercoaster. If you get the photo pass they make you a fun video with your picture that is taken on the train.
google avatar

Lewis B.

Yelp
I am a fan, it's a roller coast plus a dark ride all in one, but I would prefer motion simulator rides like avatar. Do those rides save on real estate and raw material? Is it cheaper to run the motion simulator rides? I'd like a scholar to do some sort of analysis on that matter. But compared to the old Snow White ride that was creepy and weird, this is a million times better.
google avatar

Jonathan Z.

Yelp
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is my favorite ride in the Magic Kingdom. I was able to ride it two times in a row and it was fantastic. Family friendly and super smooth. Lots of twists and turns, but all ages could enjoy this one. Riding it twice made me appreciate the amount of work the Disney team put into the ride. A short ride and your singing in the mine with the dwarfs. Then, your off to a thrilling end. Must ride again.
google avatar

RuthMarie S.

Yelp
Traditional roller coaster but this one was with the rollers that made it smoother and less bouncy more like whoosh It was nicely air conditioned inside and gave a little escape from the outside heat There are two to a seat and there is a small pocket for sunglasses and cell phones There is not enough space for a backpack You would have to put your backpack to the side of you or on the floor I don't think it would fly out. But it might be wise to give your backpack to someone waiting and not riding The roller coaster goes forward and up and down swerves left and right No backwards motion No corkscrews circles No upside down
google avatar

Gaylon G.

Yelp
This is always one of our favorite rides in the Magic Kingdom. At times, the wait can be a bit daunting, depending on the crowd. Especially right now when Fast Passes are not available. If they are, definitely try to get one for this. Everything about it is good - at least when operating normally. The lines provide activities while waiting - pre-COVID anyway. There are little interactive toys and games to play with as you stand there. Right now, they are all shut down for fear of the virus. As it stands, you will too. The lines have extra spacing as you keep your distance. It does move fairly quickly, though. In this case, we waited around 45 minutes to get on. Once one, the ride is a lot of fun. It is very energetic, but unlike most roller coasters, the car sways with the turns so that it's easier on your back. You will still spend a lot of the time on quick turns, steep drops and other stock roller coaster items, but in this case, the setting is more fun. You will see the dwarves up close and personal with the new and improved style of animated face and at the end, will get to see Snow White dancing with Dopey as the others play a lively tune. Watch for the Wicked Witch playing a Peeping Tom, too.

Yelp
This a smooth ride! As it should be considering it's the newest attraction at Disney World (at the time of writing). I finally had the chance to ride rocking my N95 mask and let me say this ride was... well... it was fine. For a ride that I've seen get up to 100+ minute wait I'd have to say it didn't live up to that level of hype. I'd say at worst wait 40 minutes and that's only if you've never ridden. Mine train is a short ride with little story building. There's a gimmicky "rocking" buggy that slightly moves but it's hardly something that I thought added value. The dwarves look amazing! But for the super brief moment you get to see them I'd say it's not worth it. A decent ride but not one that lives up to grandeur of some of the others.
google avatar

Nasha W.

Yelp
An excellent addition to the Magic Kingdom! This little rollercoaster is tame enough for a small child to ride (as long as they meet the 38" height requirement) and you sit them on the inside but it does move pretty swiftly. This coaster reminded me of the Thunder Mountain railroad exceot without the whiplash and clackety clack sounds. It goes without saying, you will need a Fastpass for this ride. But if you do not have one then I strongly suggest riding when the fireworks are starting because the experience will be amazing and the line will be in the 30 minute-wise.
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
The first best thing...there is a water fountain before you enter the vault. Now is the time to fill up that water bottle after standing in line for 50 minutes. My daughter and I really enjoyed this ride. As we were waiting in line, one of the riders yelled out, "Hi Ho" the rest of us yelled back, "Hi Ho!" That kept us entertained for awhile! Not a scary ride at all.
google avatar

Pam W.

Yelp
Nice easy roller coaster for the family. I remember when this first opened, lines were ridiculously long, fast passes nonexistent. Not anymore. We had a 1:40 fast pass and showed up just after our assigned time. The fast pass line was long! We waited our tue. And got on the coaster just ahead of a storm. There are some mild drops and a little bit of speed but this is definitely an easy going coaster. I think anyone can ride it. There's also a story that goes along with the coaster so pay attention and enjoy the ride.
google avatar

Kara M.

Yelp
This was a fun ride. I secured a fast pass for it, otherwise I would be skipping the common two hour wait that this ride has. If you are wondering how crazy this ride is, I'd say the level of intensity is quite similar to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. However, this new ride is very smooth and you don't get knocked around as much as you do on the other ride. You do have some drops that might be too much for those that despise rollercoasters, but I'd say the thrill level is moderate. The ride does slow down when you go through the mine with the seven dwarfs. This part is very colorful and fun. I highly recommend this ride if you can snag a fast pass, I don't think it's worth more than a 45 minute wait.

Yelp
This train has a great kick and punch to it. It's especially gorgeous at night time. I love the diamond mines throughout the que. So colorful and the perfect little light show that gives the best pictures / videos to show off. Another cute part about this ride is seeing Snow White and friends at the end.

Yelp
Before our trip we would randomly check certain ride wait times and this ride always had the longest wait. Anywhere from two to three hours. I was determined to ride it since it was new and I had never been on. We stayed at a Disney property for our trip which allowed us to get into Magic Kingdom an hour earlier than the general public. We got up super early and rushed over to get in line for the Mine Train. Even though I did everything possible to be there first there was still an hour long wait at 8 AM. Securing fast passes had been impossible so we bit the bullet and waited knowing the line was only going to get longer from there. The ride queue has some interactive elements. There was a gem sorting computer type game but the gems didn't drag across the screen. There also spinning gem barrels that project the dwarfs on the ceiling and a gem washing station with carved animals and musical spigots. The attraction itself is a rather mild roller coaster. It travels outside and then into a cave where you can see gems and the dwarfs. It finishes up at a cottage where you can see a cute scene through the window of Snow White dancing with the dwarfs stacked on top of each other. The old ride that this replaced was called Snow White's Scary Adventures and featured the Queen who does not make much of an appearance here. I liked the old ride in that it told more of the Snow White story. This was mainly a fun little coaster but I'm not sure it was worth the wait.

Yelp
I gotta say I was a little disappointed after all the hype and constantly long line for this ride. We scored on some FastPass tickets that opened up while we were at the park, so we figured we'd go ahead and take the ride. The line moved really quickly and we were on in less than 10 minutes, which was great. The ride itself is not too dissimilar from Thunder Mountain. The cars are themed as mine cars going on the tracks to collect gems for the dwarves. It has a couple of minor drops and a few quick turns, but overall it wasn't too eventful. There were only a couple of characters that showed up during the ride. They do take a couple of pictures on the ride itself, so be ready for photo ops. If you're an annual pass holder you can download them for free, so be sure to take advantage. Overall: B- More hype than fun, but not a bad ride. Not worth the long wait.

Yelp
Heigh HooOooOOooOOOoO! Heigh HoOOOoOooOOo! Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it's off to work we go! My favorite part of this ride was when the mine car started dipping and turning and my friend screamed up to me, you said this was a kiddie ride!!! muhaha! Fun times. This is a roller coaster but it's a fairly tame one without loops or extremely high speeds. But do keep in mind, it is indeed a coaster. This awesome ride opened in the New Fantasyland in 2014 as a great addition to Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom was in need of a ride paying homage to the first animated full length Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (after closing the old dark ride) and here it is! The queue for this ride can get up to several hours and I wouldn't wait that long for a ride in a million years! Your best bet is going first thing as soon as Magic Kingdom opens and also booking a fast pass. My friends and I felt super cool walking past everyone in line in the hot Florida sun. I've been on the ride several times and always gone through with a Fast Pass, but I hear the actual queue line has some fun games if you're willing to wait. The mine train itself is fun because it kind of sways back & forth while you're being carted around. Some of the coaster is inside, some is outside and it's all put together to flow seamlessly from one scene to the next. The music is fun, the animatronics are so life like and the ride is just fabulous! If you're an Annual Pass holder like myself or purchase Photopass, you're in for a treat! They take the most adorable video of you on the ride, along with several photos. My friends and I had fun looking at those crazy moments on a kiddie coaster. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is nearly 3 minutes of pure child-like enjoyment! I highly recommend taking a spin on the train while in Fantasyland.

Yelp
Love this ride! It was a super fun roller coaster for all ages. They also have a lot of things to do in the line to entertain you. The line also went a lot faster then the time they posted. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Opinion of Ride: - First off, it's a bit disappointing that the ride is super short. - The actual rollercoaster portion was not very memorable. - However, the animatronics and decor were done very well. I was impressed with how realistic the dwarves' facial expressions were. My boyfriend noticed that the faces were actually projected on which is all the more impressive. They synced the two reaaaaally well. - The hi-ho song was also well synced with the ride and was fun to listen to as the cart climbed to the height of the rollercoaster. - The decor during the wait was also super interesting! It was a very interactive queue which made the wait time go by faster. Fast Pass (FP+) or Not: - I think it's worth it to get the FP+ because the wait times for this ride are one of the longest at Magic Kingdom. - As mentioned, the queue is very interactive so I personally didn't mind waiting in line (which is actually why I opted out of getting a FP+ for this ride). - If you don't get a FP+, consider going to this ride first thing when you get to the park. Wait Times: - This ranks pretty high in terms of wait times, peaking at two hours during Black Friday. - It hovered around 60 minutes for the most of the day, even during Extra Magic Hour.

Yelp
When the original Snow White dark ride was announced to shut at the Magic Kingdom, I was very sad - I love the classic dark rides that many of our favorite Disney movies have in the parks. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of the elements from the original ride incorporated into a more exciting, "mild but wild" roller coaster! The gang is all here for this ride. The line here gets LONG, so either get a Fast Pass or come here first thing when the park opens....follow the giant crowd of folks that do the same thing!
