I Flew on the Only Nonstop Route From the West Coast to the Caribbean—Here's What It Was Like

"Grand Cayman is known for its pristine beaches as well as home to over 365 dive sites. One of the best things to do is relax on the award-winning, Seven Mile Beach."

"Hit Seven Mile Beach, a beautiful and—as the name would suggest—long stretch of shoreline to see why it’s one of the Cayman Islands ’ most fabled features. Facing out to sea, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were beholding a life-size Rothko installation, with bands of the palest aqua, the richest cobalt and every gradation of blue-green in between. Also keep an eye out for the schools of fish that sprint along the water parallel to the shore."

Beautiful beach. Gets a bit busy, but it’s expected as all the main hotels are right there. The cayman govt did a very good job by not only keeping it public, but also having very convenient access point everywhere possible (essentially in between every hotel, and what good is a public beach that can’t be accessed like in many other Caribbean islands) including free parking spots across the street.

Powder white sand and year round water as warm as a bathtub. Waters easy to just walk into they are clear and clean. The water is shallow but gets deep enough to snorkel, swim and relax. You can easily lose a whole day. Bring a cooler, take out and all your fav beach toys!

Great Beach. You can rent chairs and spot for the day. They don't allow vendors on the beach which is awesome. You can buy beer and ice across the street. I will be back!

It is indeed one of the most beautiful beaches on the world. Such a calm sea, white, soft sand and beautiful sunsets.

We came from the port on Christmas Day so it was very easy to find the taxis to take you to the beach. It cost $12/per person round trip to go from the port to the beach. Once at the beach you can rent chairs and umbrellas from people as well as get food and beverages.

TIP: If you’re coming from the cruise Port like we did, we suggested to get a taxi directly from the port. It’s about 12$ per person round trip. We had a pretty pleasant stay here since we got to spend several hours in one of the most beautiful beaches of the Caribbeans. There’s chairs and umbrellas available for rent at around (20-25$), although by walking a little further we were able to find several peaceful spots away from the crowd.

Beautiful! The beach is clean and well kept. The water looks stunning. Parking available. Washrooms/change rooms available. Small Vendors selling items/food.

This beach has the most crystal clear water. You can see all the way to the bottom in the deep water. We saw quite a few fish while snorkeling. It was very relaxing.
