Weird additional tax on the food but nice place. Definitely the best and most beautiful place to get a meal and enjoy time in Lalibela. It is also one of the only places to get wifi because ethiotelecom is blocked in the region. It is very very slow though because everyone is there to use it. The food was very nice and delicious and on the menu card the price was acceptable. BUT THEN THEY CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 25% ON THE PRICE. That is simply ridiculous! Why not just increase the price a bit so it isn’t so mysterious and you get a great chok when you receive the bill. Great service, view and surroundings with pretty flowers and quietness. But after the chok we didn’t eat there anymore, sorry.

I'm glad I was taken to this hotel. It was the perfect place from which to experience and enjoy Lalibela. An old fashioned looking hotel with very comfortable rooms and lovely views. Lots of trees and bushes in the garden to block out the noise from the town but at the same time it was so central. The staff were friendly and efficient and the manager was very welcoming. All the food I had was delicious. The price was cheap for what was on offer...highly recommended.

Both the ethiopian food and western food here are really delicious, and the service is above average for Ethiopia. We ate here four times and enjoyed each one. The warm toast they bring out at with breakfasts is so good. Only complaint is the prices, which are much higher than similar establishments.

Didn't stayed here but the food was awesome, quality nd quantity both are good. Traditional food called injera with lots of different veggies nd curries was really delicious, spicy (if you want) nd tummy filling 😋😋😋😋we loved eating there nd then traditional Ethiopian coffee..... What an amazing experience 😍

It's a good, cheap little spot where many tour groups, foreigners, and locals seem to gather. It has a lovely garden feel with spacious and clean rooms. The staff is very helpful and will arrange tours or find you transport for fair enough prices. The restaurant has really good food, too, for a frenji looking for a bite. They also have traditional jebena coffee. They're pretty centrally located.

The best food I had in Ethiopia. All the dishes were delicious in the several times I went here but the Kai Wot was something really special. Be warned, it's a bit spicy but if you can handle it you'll be ordering it again and again like I was.

Good location and a nice garden in front of the rooms. But rooms are not up to date and I have seen nicer bathrooms in Ethiopia (but also worse). In my opinion: Price for a twin room is actually too high for what you get. Negotiate therefore.

Did not stay here, but enjoyed the restaurant, peaceful atmosphere, nice views, and food was delicious, prices are what you would expect to cater to tourists. Toilets were grim, so I'd give them a miss if you can.
