Seventh Son Vineyards

Seventh Son was our favorite spot we visited all weekend! We enjoyed the wine, the lunch and the service. Beautiful property - we enjoyed sitting on the patio and playing corn hole, as well as getting to visit with Ned. Highly recommend! It’s worth the scenic drive out to this spot.

What a hidden gem! We have been a little hesitant to hours of operation with the gate closed. Just pull up and the gate will open. When we drove in, we were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful views of the vineyard and cozy tasting room. We had the pleasure to have Laura as our Seventh Son Vineyards host. She was so personable, friendly, and had a heavy hand with the pour ;) Snacks for the tasting were exceptional. Highly recommend.

Really nice winery closely located to Wimberley. They have a wine flight tasting of about 6 locally produced wines. Some of the wines they have for sale are grown at this winery. I really enjoyed their Picpoul whites, and the Sangiovese. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return.

This is a wonderful, new, small winery and tasting room with a small selection of amazing wines, plus excellent food and ambience. The tasting flight is exceptional with six native Texan wines presented by Ned, the grower, along with personal stories and anecdotes. (Be warned, you WILL end up buying several bottles as you go.) The website doesn’t do justice to the food available, which includes locally sourced charcuterie (and by “local” I mean every atom of food on the plate comes from somewhere nearby). There’s also smoked fish dip, local dark chocolate, and, until sold out, chocolate cookies made with last weekend’s leftover wine. (These tend to vanish quickly). The ambiance is great with a beautiful new construction tasting room, decorated with art. There’s a little music, plenty of space to relax, and good conversation (this is the kind of place where you make a lot of new friends). Arrive early and linger the day away.

The wine and the charcuterie board were really good! The ambiance was really nice, too. I'm only giving 3 stars because the service could have been better. The lady helping us was rude and had an attitude when we asked for anything. While the service was off-putting, it wouldn't stop me from going back because everything else was really nice!

Just called to ask about pricing and the woman on the phone sounded annoyed I was calling. I was thinking of having my bachelorette party here, but was completely put off by the customer service.

This winery is worth the 5 stars. Beautiful grounds. I love that as soon as you drive up, a large gate opens and takes you down a short curvy drive to the main winery building. Super classy, the interior feels right out of Yellowstone (dark wood, big windows, fireplaces). When we came, they had wine cookies made from their leftover wine from the day before (so cute and sustainable). The cheese board was great! Their Estate wines are my personal favorite. Kind staff, relaxing vibes, quality, and peaceful. The best gem - somewhere you come and sit for hours to catch up with friends and enjoy! Highly recommend.

Bartender is wonderful, but hard to hear cause he talked too soft. The wines were good and I recommend the 2021 Seventh Son Estate Mouvedre. The outside seating area is nice and peaceful, and the tasting room has a great ambiance.

We had an amazing time and even met the Seventh Son while we were there. Definitely a place to go relax and enjoy some good wine!!

We enjoyed a wine tasting first indoors and decided to buy a bottle of Rose' with a charcuterie, Wine was very good and we loved enjoying the peacefulness sitting outside with our wine and a delicious charcuterie board. The owner, Ned, came over and welcomed us to the winery.. very nice touch! Even though there was a small wedding party event, it wasn't too crowded and we just enjoyed a relaxing time at the venue. Definitely plan to return again with some of our friends!

I am giving this review based on the wine drinkers in our group. I do not drink wine but, the ones that did, thought the wines were pretty good. They did say several were really dry. The place itself was really nice and the staff were really friendly. The price for the tasting was reasonable, I belive it was $18 for 6 tastings. I would definitely bring family and friends here again. It was definitely a lot less pretentious than the winery we had visited before this one, that was just down the road. Cool place.

Seventh Son is my favorite vineyard I have ever been to... beats anywhere I've ever been in the wine country of Oregon. Ned, the owner, is a delight. He knows his grapes and is very humble about the incredible products he puts out. Such a wonderful experience every time. A true hidden gem.

Wow, an incredible find. Really great Texas wine using their own estate-grown grapes. Highly recommend taking a trip into the Texas hill country for this great family vineyard & winery.

So we had a girls trip two weeks ago and stopped in for a glass of wine. Several hours later and a few glasses or should I say bottles later ...we had a blast and exceeded expectations. The owner,Ned and his wife were so personable and knowledgeable about their wines. The winery is so quaint and comfy and you feel right at home when you walk inside. The wines are excellent and the boards are a must. Highly recommend adding this to your list of wineries in the hill country. One of my favorites for sure.

This place is an absolutely lovely hidden gem. The building is beautiful on its own, their estate grown wines (reds) are wonderful; we did a tasting of those. Also ordered a bottle of the rose and loved it, refreshing, dry. Do order the charcuterie board, it should not be missed because it contains a very flavorful assortment of local meats and cheeses. Highly recommend!
