Good food, the staff tried their best to cater to our vegan needs. The food could have been a bit more seasoned and the sauce for the salad was too sweet for my taste. Spaghetti tasty, albeit a bit on the dente side of al dente, the ravioli were really nice.

Recommended by our hotel as somewhere that the locals go with some traditional German food. Per instructions, we stopped by around 2pm to make a reservation and the earliest we could get was 8pm (it’s mid November btw). Place was busy when we arrived, and if we didn’t have a reservation we probably would have had to sit outside in the cold. We originally planned to get 2 dishes because we were starved, but the photos don’t show just how insanely large the dishes are. We saw one come out and changed out plans. We went with a salad and schnitzel. FYI, I saw some photos here with a plate of schnitzel and a small salad on the same plate. That is not the case. The schnitzel comes with its own side salad plate that is maybe 70% of the size of the entree salad so don’t need to get both. Only difference is it doesn’t have the meat or cheese. White wine comes in dry, medium, and sweet. No idea winery but it was delicious. We did not order dessert but they gave us little pots of a pudding that maybe contained alcohol but was delicious. Highly recommend, and make a reservation. We are Cochem and considering the 1:10 train to go back and have it again :)

Google
Outstanding food, and I do mean one of a kind, brilliant German cuisine the likes of which we had never experienced. I felt bad leaving food on the plate because it was so delicious, but honestly there is so much on the plate a couple could split one dish and still be full. Salads with fresh vegetables, two types of schnitzel (one Tuscan inspired, the other more traditional), and topped off with samples of reisling pudding which were unique and delicious. Fresh ingredients make a difference. You must go to this restaurant if in Boppard.

Food was incredible! We had the mushroom ravioli and pesto pasta and it was some of the best we've ever had. The side salads were also a surprising highlight and I would definitely recommend them. Plenty of vegetarian options and also cater to dietary requests. We sat outside on a beautiful summer night and loved the plants and flowers they had on and around the tables. Highly recommend to all. If we are in Boppard again, we will definitely be coming back.

The service was friendly and the ambience cozy with a warm pub feel. Our soups were great but our entrees were excessively salty. The do not accept credit cards, even though their Google description says that they do.

Lovely meal here, very generous portions, fresh, tasty ingredients and friendly serving staff. Good options for veggies. Recommended!

Google
Great food, definitely recommend the pork chop served with sweet, melting onions. Charming outdoor seating, though the inside looked lovely, too.

Google
Extremely generous portions, very fair prices, and fantastic food. Service was also fantastic, recommended some good dishes and was a very pleasant experience. Will come again, next time hopefully with better German. Reccommend the Schnitzel, the Spargelsuppe & the Rinder Roulade. Must come back to try the Goulash.

Yelp
Everything about this place was amazing! We ate here two out of three nights in Boppard. The food was absolutely wonderful. As a vegetarian, I had the ravioli one night and the pesto pasta another. The other 5 in my party had pretty much everything on the menu, and we all raved about it. The main course comes with a generous portion of salad (one night the salad was a tomato salad, one night a leafy green salad). Both nights we devoured the salads and couldn't believe the size or quality of them. Alex, the server, was so kind and helpful. It was truly a remarkable dining experience. I cannot recommend more highly.

Yelp
Best food in Germany so far!!! We highly recommend the Tuscan Schnitzel and the Garlic Pesto Spaghetti....and the salad dressing! We ordered extra to take home w/ our leftovers. And great service too....

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere, but service was slow (so -1 star). Waited almost an hour for entrees, and the waiter never really checked in on our table. We had to ask for updates. Really enjoyed the salmon & potato pancakes app. Portions are huge!

Yelp
Had salad and soup. The salad was swimming in dressing. Goulash had a good flavor but was really salty. My husband had the deer goulash which was very good. He had Spätzle as one of his sides and it was just ok. The second side was green beans cooked in bacon grease they were really good and not over-cooked like most vegetables in Germany. Apple strudel was good came with pudding sauce and whipped cream. The whipped cream didn't taste like it was made with any sugar. Small beer list, three different kinds. I'm not sure you can find Dunkel beer on the Rhine River. Service was ok, she was not very freindly and not happy we needed another minute to decide.

Yelp
One of best aspects of this restaurant is bacon wrapped green beans. Also quality salads with good lettuces (not iceberg). Seating inside or out. The exterior is protected from inclement weather by awnings. Some of the most creative cuisine in Boppard. Portions very large.

Yelp
The best meal we had in all of Germany. The mushroom sauce/gravy they make (is served with the Knoedel/dumpling and with the pork (like Jaegerschnitzel but not a pork cutlet)) is one of the best I've ever tasted. Our daughter had the salad with potatoes. Everyone was stealing potatoes from her plate -- they were so good. Son had the ribs -- loved them. We tried to go back a second time before we left Boppard, but, alas, the restaurant is closed on Thursdays. If we're ever back in the Rhine/Mosel area, we'll make a point of eating at Severus Stube. Lecker!

Yelp
We went during non-busy season and it was still full so we had to sit at the bar, so maybe get there early or make reservations. The food was great! Service was fair. We both ordered the specials and were not dissapointed
