The 10 Best Restaurants In Rainier Beach

"While you could pop into this mini-mart and head straight for the Chex Mix and Snickers bars, the glow of hot lamps and strong deep fryer smell inside will lead you to the real good stuff—fried chicken wings. These crispy full-size wings with flaky paper mache-like skin are constantly being fried fresh. So if the display case looks a little empty at first, just do a quick browse of the gum section and come back. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

10 Great Meals For $10 In Seattle

"Your Order: Fried Chicken Wings This mini-mart located between Seward Park and Rainier Beach serves fried chicken that we’re choosing over Ranch Corn Nuts and Yodels any day. The golden wings are constantly served right out of the fryer perfectly blistered and taste even better doused in Frank’s Red Hot. Depending on how many wings you decide to get, a few crispy jojos could be in the cards while still staying under the $10 threshold. " - kayla sager riley

The 14 Best Wings In Seattle

"While you could pop into this Seward Park convenience store for Funyuns and Twinkies, the glow of hot lamps and deep fryer smells will lead you to the good stuff waiting in a glass case. Basking under lightbulbs are jojos, fries, and drumettes, but you’re there for the colossal chicken wings that are constantly fried fresh and taste even better when doused in Frank’s Red Hot. You’ll never go back to regular corner store food again. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

While you could pop in for Funyuns and Twinkies, the glow of hot lamps and deep fryer smells will lead you to the good stuff waiting in a glass case. Seward Park Market's hot deli is a hidden gem in Seattle, especially if you're craving fried chicken and fries. The chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor—seasoned just right. The fries are hot, golden, and perfectly salted. It’s quick, affordable, and surprisingly satisfying for a deli inside a convenience store. Friendly service and great for a grab-and-go meal that hits the spot every time.

To be honest I did not expect gas station wings to be this good but they clearly know what they’re doing. I’d rather have these than KFC for sure. They should start serving mashed potatoes and biscuits and I’d go here all the time.

First time there. Stopped by for a quick fill up. Tried the chicken wings and OMG they were so good and flavorful. And reasonably priced.

Google
Count your peaces of chicken if you get them because the owner doesn't know how to count I got a 10 peace and when I got some he only gave me 8 .... Basic math skills are non existent in that store (.)

Cashier was friendly and efficient. Picked up some chicken wings. Nicely seasoned, hot and crisp. I will be back!

Google
Great fried chicken here and the owner is a great guy. They don't actually sell gas here, that service was provided many years ago when it was a 7 eleven convenience store.

Yelp
I don't always die from thirst after taking laps around Seward Park, but when I do this market is the place I go to rehydrate! This market is nicely stocked with everything you'd expect to find, hot bar, and super friendly people running the joint. Overall great place to stock up on some goodies if you're in the area!

Yelp
I pulled in to get a road drink and saw they had freshly made snacks and realized I was more hungry than I thought. I got a few wings/flats plus hot sauce and ate it in my car. Sounds casual, but let me better explain my experience. Every part of the chicken was orgasmic. The skin, lightly coated in some kind of secret seasoning, was beautifully crispy while the insides were hot, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was a crime I was willing to commit. My only regret was not having wet wipes because I know I was extra feral eating these. That's not the end of my Seward experience, though, because I went back for 30 more pieces.

Yelp
I guess I'm spoiled. I am used to being greeted when I enter a business. I came in and saw no one behind the counter. I thought maybe someone was in the back. I started to call out when I saw a man seated back and low enough that he was hard to see. I told him I didn't see him when I came in. Still no greeting. I asked a question, but this man had no intention of being friendly or helpful. I ended up just leaving.

Yelp
I bring these chicken wings to every gathering I go to and they are always a hit. Everyone always asks where I got the wings and I tell them Seward Park Market. Don't miss out. Go grab em now.

Yelp
Update: chicken is okay, no longer great. I don't know what changed, but for the last 2+ years the fried chicken has been somewhat bland and powdery (hard to describe). I've gone back several times hoping each time to discover the past few experiences were flukes, but alas, it doesn't seem to be. The search for excellent fried chicken continues again....

Yelp
Pros: Fair amount of parking around mini mart; chicken wings were good and not too expensive; friendly staff; would recommend Cons: Fries need some work--not tasty

Yelp
Love how this corner store is so convenient for me. Jack the owner is the best. He makes his chicken and jojos pretty damn good.

Yelp
Stopped by this store before going fishing at Washington Lake while I was visiting Seattle, WA on vacation and had to write a review. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I picked up some beer and they had chicken so I got some wings and jojo's as well. They were unbelievable! The best chicken I have ever had. Popeye's, KFC, restaurants have nothing on this chicken. After fishing I stopped there again and grabbed a dozen more wings they are so delicious. Definitely recommend this corner store you cannot go wrong with ice cold beer and great fried chicken! Going to miss this place when I go back to California.
