Please read: We have been here several times in the last few months. Food is decent, sevice was hit or miss. Today we came for my birthday as my wife really likes Shabba Shabba (1320 - 1410 or so). We entered and was met by a young lady (maybe 20, long hair, large hair clip in the back) no greeting, no eye contact as she could not be disturbed chatting with a server...she pointed at the menu and said "scan the code if you need the menu." again, never any "Aloha", "Hello" nothing. She walked to a table adjacent to the service stand, I asked if we could have a booth as there was one empty along the wall. She was very put out by this and said "It might be reserved." I asked her to please check. She begrudgingly walked a few feet and the couple that was behind us, who were walk ins as well (we were chatting beforehand) were directly taken to the booth and she then returned to say "oh, it was reserved" walked back to have a good laugh with her coworker....Now my wifes burner is not getting hot to boil, so she askes our waiter if we can move. He checks with the same lady, she looks and sees its us and says "Just have them move to over one seat." Our waiter (we have had at least three times) knows what she is doing and also does not want to upset my wife, does his best to explain why we can only be moved one seat. She then points to the TWO empty booths. He bows his head and my wife, being the great woman she is tells him its ok, she will call the owner later. You have a customer service problem. I spent a career in customer service.....its not hard, but you are wanting people to pay for what you are selling, you also want their repeat service! Let me give you a simple training tool: Search "Give 'em the Pickle by Bob Farrell" on youtube. Its an old customer service video that stands more true today then even back then. A customer asks for a simple request YOU GIVE IT TO THEM! Also, get your MANAGER on the floor and engage with guests. I was there an hour and your server only checked on use twice after being seated. That is not service. My picture shows the portable unsafe contraption as well as empty booths......Anyway, after the worst service we have ever experienced, I left the young man whom we only saw twice a generous tip. You and your establishment may not have any class, but we always do our best too. We will never return, and I will be notifying health and safety officials about her having to use this portable device when there were plenty of empty seats!
