The wait was definitely on the longer side. Thankfully, the servers were calm, efficient, and seemed to have everything under control, which helped make the wait more bearable. The service was excellent throughout—friendly, attentive, and well-organized. If you’re planning to go, I highly recommend making a reservation through the Google link rather than just walking in—it felt like doing that could easily save you around 30 minutes. Once seated, the food was totally worth it—super fresh and delicious. The original broth is great, full of flavor without being overpowering. The lively vibe with K-pop playing in the background really adds to the fun atmosphere.

Google
First time coming here and it was awesome !! Very intimate with everybody getting to cook their own shabu shabu with their own choice of broths. The ingredients had a huge variety of ingredients like seafood and veggies, plus all the meats were great and all you can eat !! So good for $32 or less per person (depending on lunch or dinner). Highly recommend!

Google
Pretty lively atmosphere — maybe a bit too lively. The sauce area could use more frequent cleaning. It was hard to enjoy the meal when the hygiene didn’t feel up to par. Food quality is ok-ish for the meat but not so good for the other items

Shabuya in the Ala Moana area of Honolulu is a true paradise for Japanese hot pot lovers. Every time I visit, I have a great experience. The menu offers a variety of broths the spicy miso and sukiyaki are especially delicious. The quality of the meats, especially the wagyu and ribeye, is always top-notch. There’s also a salad bar with a wide selection of vegetables, seafood, and sauces, which lets you create the perfect combination of flavors. The only downside is the long wait. During peak hours, the wait time can reach up to two hours which speaks to how popular this place is. I recommend using the Yelp waitlist feature to save time. Despite the crowds, the service is always excellent. The staff is attentive and quick to clear empty trays of meat. Overall, Shabuya is a place I love coming back to again and again for delicious hot pot.

Google
Solid AYCE hotpot where you have 1.5 hrs. The meat selection is good, appetizers were decent but id say you could skip them and just eat hotpot. I have to recommend the spicy miso broth! They have a lot of veggies, fish, shellfish, etc nicely laid out. The standard sauce options are available and they have different dishes for mixing or pouring into. Our server was really nice and made sure everything was going okay the whole time

Google
I am a hot pot fanatic and it's the first thing I look for in every country I visit. I was so excited to see this establishment had all you can eat and buffet veg. Very similar to Japan's Shabu Yo restaurant chain. We were helped by Pineapple, who was just as amazing as her name, and found the service fast, albeit a very, very long wait...which is understandable when you've hit the sweet spot of what people want. My ONLY critique (and why I didn't give 5 stars), take it or leave it, is to improve your sauce selection. Sesame paste or peanut sauce and soya sauce would improve the entire meal. I mistakenly used the creamy sauce, thinking it was sesame and the sweetness of it overpowers the meal and didn't taste great. Otherwise, fantastic restaurant and delicious Lychee slushie :)

Google
Come one come all. This place is huge! And hugely popular. There was a wait to get a table of 8 and rightfully so. This place does hotpot RIGHT. Servers keep things moving on and off the plate. No technical difficulties or confusion with the mini burners. The drinks are on point! Plenty of options to build your preferred flavor profile. I just truly enjoyed myself here. The sauce and sides bar was very well kept. There was someone stationed there the entire night to ensure all stations were clean, utensils where used properly, and to answer any questions on what something was. As you always should, do you research before hand to get on their waiting list so your wait is not as long. If you do have to wait, walk around! Theres plenty to see here that will eat that time right on up. Don't be overzealous in your portions because they do charge for excess waste.

My boyfriend and I came here twice on our trip and the first time was awesome! We loved it. The food was great and our waiter was so sweet. However, our second time was good too until we got hit with food poisoning a couple hours later. We did have a great experience, was just a bummer that that’s how it ended.

Sakae S.

Yelp
Even in weekends, all you can eat in 90 mins of 31dollars is very economical. For seafoods, crabs, shrimps, and clams are good enough to eat with fish.

Yelp
Please fix the waitlist service!!!! The food is always good but the wait times that are being projected and the wait times that the hosts are telling you are not in sync!

Yelp
took the grandparents here to dinner and they loved it! it's great for people that know what they like to eat with hot pot cos they can pick and choose exactly what they want. meats are unlimited and brought out super quick. they're cut really thin but since it's unlimited it's ok to keep asking for more. about average price for AYCE. it can get packed during rush hours and if they're under staffed the wait can be bad but generally the staff are always nice and attentive.

Yelp
Well obviously we have been back since my last review. They have changed the checkin. Doesn't tell you presumptively that "your table is ready- please check in". Rather it says what the wait time is. This is waaaayyyuu better than what they had before. I made the reservation on Yelp then went shopping and returned when they texted me that the table is ready. Jeffrey Y did great with service. Our waters were refilled. Table was cleared off with plates. He didn't allow them to stack up and look messy. However the girl that cleared the table at the end certainly splashed broth all over. (Add surprised emoji here) Overall better check in and service.

Yelp
Join the wait list! Friendly service, love their meat and buffet selections although they've been out of raw eggs during the egg shortage. I like their sukiyaki broth and their beef!

Yelp
Brother-in-law Craig T took my wife and I to lunch. He had been their before and highly recommended it. Well his recommendation is on spot. This hotpot restaurant is the best that I've been too on the island. The interior is well lit and seating was comfortable. Assortment of vegetables and seafood, was vast. The meats thinly was perfect to dip into your broth. The service was friendly and they came often to see if we needed anything. Enjoy

Yelp
I love a good hot pot. Shabuya has a great variety of meats and vegetables for everyone. I especially like that they include appetizers because I always need something fried to go with my brothy meal. And lunch is a really good deal at $22.99 per person. For apps, we got the gyoza and all the karaage. Basically all the apps to try. I liked the original chicken karaage and the gyoza the best. The soy glazed karaage was a bit too sweet, and the volcano was a bit too spicy. For broth, we chose the original. Nice and light and doesn't take over the taste of the meats or veggies. We got all the meat, except chicken. I particularly liked the beef toro. So delicious! My hubs prefers pork with his hot pot and enjoyed the pork belly best. There were also seafood options at the "buffet." I tried some clams, shrimp, and seafood/veggie balls, but the sliced meat really is much better. You can also get udon, rice noodles, dried ramen noodles. I opted for the udon and it was the perfect starchy accompaniment. For vegetables, I enjoyed the traditional cabbage. There was also bok choy, zucchini, oyster mushrooms, onions, etc etc. Anything you'd want, really. I noticed some of the other Asian female customers were very well versed in eating at Shabuya and loaded up heaping plates of seafood. One lady in front of me basically took an enormous plate of oyster mushrooms, leaving me with scant few. lol. Not to worry though, they replenish frequently. I will definitely be back. To shorten your wait, get on the waitlist on the Yelp app and check in upon your arrival. Lunch is such a good deal that the line is long, but dinner wait seems to be much longer.

Yelp
Cannot believe I never came here and Shabuya been around for years now . My nephew wanted to treat me for early dinner so I said shoots cannot turn down a free meal . This place is all you can eat for $30.99 the selection is unbelievable. From shrimp, squid, mussels, clams , and blue pincers crab. Also wide variety of vegetables including Kim Chee. . Also their appetizers on the menu include gyoza, 3 types of chicken. Along with 5 different types of broth . The appetizers and meat come to your table. The rest of the items you need to go up and get it yourself . I will definitely be back

Yelp
Located on the second flor of Ala Moana shopping center. Incredible Japanese hot pot, Shabu Shabu. Great selection of paper thin slices of meats, salad bar, fish, shrimp balls, whole shrimp, and sauce bar. Quick service for meats.

Yelp
We came here after spending the day down the road. We had put our names on the waitlist prior to arriving and checked in when we arrived. We waited around 20 minutes for them to call & seat our party of 6. When we were about to get seated, we measured my 8 year old to see if he could get the $10.99 price, however he was 2 inches over so we had to pay the full $30.99 price (he literally only ate about $5 worth of noodles). After we were seated, we ordered our broth and asked for all the meats except chicken, ordered appetizers and started on the buffet. The seafood selection was great. I got shrimp, mussels, clams, baby octopus and lobster balls. The vegetable selection isn't that great. I wanted enoki mushrooms but they only had button and wood ear..bummer, but I did get a shit ton of bok choy. Also, for the low carb people like me, they do have konjac noodles. If your a big eater, you'll definitely get your money's worth. The broths are really flavorful and we like the meat selection. The service was alright. We had to ask for water when our cups were empty for a while and the girl who brought our meats had a chip on her shoulder, like we owed her money or something lol. I would actually give this place 3.5 stars.

Yelp
I didn't realize that this restaurant was open over 2 yrs at the ala moana center by longs and close to jamba juice. My brother went twice already and he told us we go and celebrate valentines day. We got there before 10:30 am and put our name on their wait list. They open a little after 10:30 but that's to be expected on all restaurants to me. Once we enter my brother told the hostess if we could sit close by the buffet line since my sister couldn't walk that far so we did. The server ask us if we wanted drinks besides water and ask if we wanted appetizers and the meats. All comes with the buffet. Then it's the seafood, vegetables, all kinds of ramen, udon, pho, sauces. It was very good and will be back again. Please note: you only have 90 mins enjoy the buffet. They do come just before the time gets closer cleaning up the table. Telling us it's time to leave

Yelp
Solid AYCE hot pot spot. Will say, for a table of two we got to sit in a 4-5 person party table and I noted that the placement of the soup bowl heater was funnily placed so watch out if you're a spiller! Meats felt fresh but VERY thin to the point where taking them off the platter almost always resulted in tears or it getting stuck on the tray. Hard to delineate what meat is which when ordering multiple. House broth was good as a boiling bowl but nothing to write home about as I personally felt there wasn't much flavor from it. If you get through your broth, you're welcome to be brought more. Veggie, noodle, and seafood bar was well stocked but a bit messy. Labeled were array or nonexistent so with items, especially the sauces, were a guessing game.

Yelp
Great selection of fresh vegetables and choices of meat . Prepare didhes your way. Great ambience usually veryyy busy and a long wait .

Yelp
Piggy appetite at Ala Moana Center. If your in the mood for hot pot, Shabuya has to be an option. Located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center, they are an "all you can eat " restaurant. They have a really nice selection of veggies, seafood and meats. The slices of beef, pork and chicken are ordered and trays ate brought out to you. There is a limit to the number of trays you can order at a time, but you can continue to order after finishing those trays. The seafood, veggies and other stuff to compliment your animal protein is obtained via salad bar type of set up where you can pile your plate to your hearts content. But be careful not to over do it because if you too much left over, they let you know you might be charged for excessive leftovers. The broths and sauces used have enough variation that most diners will be satisfied. During peak lunch and dinner hours it can get pretty busy and the wait times long. You can get on to a wait list too and you'll be notified when your table is available. Nice and efficient service, nice variety of food, when in the mood for hot pot, Shabuya is a nice option to consider. .

Yelp
I've been to Shabuya multiple times, and I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. It's definitely one of my go-to spots when I'm in the mood for hot pot. I love how convenient it is to hop on the waitlist via Yelp - it saves you from standing around wondering when you'll get a table. I stopped by on a Thursday night, and while the wait was a little longer than usual (the estimated time on Yelp wasn't quite accurate), it was still no big deal. It's a popular spot, so I get it. What really made the night was our server, Sabrina. She was amazing - so on top of everything, especially considering how busy it was. Despite the hustle, she was super attentive and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better. Our food came out quickly, which was great because we were hungry! The quality is always solid, and you really can't beat the price for what you get. The location is also a win - being in Ala Moana, parking isn't a headache. I honestly can't recommend this place enough. If you're craving delicious hot pot, you really can't go wrong here.

Yelp
This place was huge. My first time and my daughter. My boyfriend treated us here for lunch. It was worth it. It is like a hotpot but better. The leafs are cut thinly. There was so much to choose from at the bar like veggies and seafood stuff like crab, clams and fish. We also got gyoza. If you finish your soup, they offer you more. Our waitress was super nice and came by every so often to refill my diet coke. My boyfriend ordered the fish bowl strawberry soju. This was good iced. He drank literally almost 3/4th of it. He got buzzed. Haha. It tasted like a strawberry soda. I hardly tasted the alcohol. This was worth sharing. The guys here are quick to clear your dishes. I definitely liked that. Located inside the mall at Ala Moana. I would definitely come back here with my boyfriend and daughter. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Business is located at Ala Moana Shopping Center which is on same side as Longs. My friend and I love the buffet with varieties of food where you can pick your food. Server will ask you what kind of broth and meats that you want and how many trays. Meats are thin cut which cook well in broth. Ambiance is nice with music playing and ac is kind of cold.
google avatar

Joy Z.

Yelp
Came here for a family dinner after a long day of walking around Ala Moana. The service was very fast and friendly. We didn't expect so many options at the salad bar and such a selection of fresh seafood and vegetables. The tables are massive and the restaurant is quite spacious. Very much worth the price!

Yelp
Hotpot AYCE at Shabuya Ala Moana Dined here on the weekend for a long awaited reunion of sorts. It's a pretty popular place so we decided on an early weekend brunch. We signed into the reservation system located near entry door, while waiting for the last brunch guest to arrive. There's a 90 minute dining limit, so we skipped unnecessary talking to focus on dining lol. Each guest has own hot pot so you can pick your own broth. You select shellfish (such as prawn, mussels, clams) vegetables, noodles, and sauces from the central area. Service was excellent. Staff was attentive in taking orders and removing plates; crucial as table space is limited. Staff brought out a stool to place the meat trays, nice touch! I can see why Shabuya is so popular: everyone can pick what they want to eat, cooked as you wish. Not a bad deal at $30.99/person, especially if you bring your big appetite. We were gently reminded when our 90 minutes were up. There's a weekday $22.99 lunch special available until 3 pm, though not all premium meats will be available.

Yelp
I'm not one to write bad reviews unless the food and service wasn't great. I usually like to come to shabuya with my family due to their big opening seating, location & items. I always had a pleasant experience when dining in here... not until TODAY (Oct 28th) I came here for a late lunch/early dinner with my sister & my nephew. The weather was just saying "hot pot weather". We didn't wait long to be seated. Once we were seated the took our meat and appetizer order right away. We said we wanted 2 orders of pork belly, 1 order of ribeye & 1 order of Wagyu. We went up to grab our veggies, seafood & noodles they had at the bar in the middle of the restaurant for you to grab as much as you please. When we returned to our table, we had 2 orders of ribeye, 1 order of Wagyu & 1 order of pork belly. Which is fine! Service and meat came out quick & we could always order more food. We were done with our first round of meats and wanted to order more meats and our drinks. Our server was no where to be found... we waited a good 20min... (not even exaggerating), my nephew was getting hungry so we went up to grab more veggies, noodles & seafood while we waited for our server to come and take our meat order. When he finally showed up, we ordered our second round of meats. But as we were ordering, he was already walking away when I wasn't done ordering... my nephew wanted fruit punch & my sister and I wanted adult drinks. Again, food got delivered real quick (plus 1 star for how fast the food came to us). We were all just casually enjoying our meal & wanted to order our 3 round of meats. Mind you, the meats are very thin and I was helping my nephew to cook his food first before being able to enjoy mines. As we ordered our 3rd round of meats, our server told us our time was almost up? Crazy because he didn't really show up to get our meat order until the very end... so we were ok with that. We just said we're going to finish the remainder of our food. We were seated right behind the hostess/cashier table, so we can hear everything... we could constantly hear that we're still sitting down at our table & they need to seat other parties. Af one point something came flying from their table and ended up at our table... not sure if it really was on accident or on purpose to make us leave. The server after 5 min of our 3rd round of meat being delivered told us that we have 5-10min left to leave. I felt so rushed. My sister & I wasn't able to finish our drinks that we paid for, the remainder of our meats & we left still feeling hungry (I'm a small eater so this says a lot). I honestly feel like if only our server gave us better service and checked up on us frequently we would've been able to enjoy & be full during our "time limit". A truly disappointing experience. Food was ok but my overall experience just made me feel like I wasn't treated fairly as a paying customer compared to others. We didn't get that "AYCE" experience. I don't think I'll be back to try it again.

Yelp
Shabuya is a quick and convenient AYCE hot pot spot located at Ala Moana Center. Their lunch deal is $22.99 without tax or tip and includes up to eight trays of your desired meat selections, unlimited salad bar options (an array of vegetables, noodles, seafood, and build your own sauce stations), and an appetizer (choice of fried gyoza or various types of chicken karaage. You have several broths to choose from and the spicy miso is fantastic. The meat is sliced paper thin making it super easy to cook. I snagged a seat at the bar and the service was fast and efficient. The ambiance is lively and this is a great restaurant for solo eaters and larger groups alike. This is a really popular spot so add your name to their Yelp waitlist before you arrive to avoid long wait times.
google avatar

Rudy H.

Yelp
Awesome place for lunch! All you can eat shabu shabu for $22.99 per person is a very sweet deal and you should try this place at least once but no one can judge you if you come here every week. For those of you who come alone, they have a bar counter (first come first serve) also with built in induction burner stove if you prefer to eat solo. But more people is actually much better, it is fun place to be with friends and family. Just make sure to put your name on yelp waitlist before you get there so that you don't need to wait too long. This is an extremely popular restaurant. And it's for good reasons. PS: Goma dare dipping sauce (Japanese sesame dipping sauce) is so good! The best.
google avatar

Dianna R.

Yelp
Their selection was very good here. Their location is right in Ala Moana by The Alley on the Nordstrom side. To get a seat took about 20 minutes without reservations. Their price for kids depends how tall the child is. Inside was noisy and cramped, but the service was fast. They brought the meat out quickly and had a good selection. I appreciated that many things including sauces were buffet style. I would definitely go again. Side note: not the best/easiest place to maneuver around when pregnant.
google avatar

Nanea W.

Yelp
I try to come to Shabuya every time I'm in Oahu. The hot pot is one of my favorite things and it's always so good. The vegetable bar is insane with so many options as well as the different meats you can choose. For $30 all you can eat this is definitely a must stop.
google avatar

Yelp
I actually got to the point where I thought I didn't like hot pot. So I am very glad my friend wanted to go here!!! The first time we went it was the middle of the day (aug 18 Sunday) so no wait and we got a table which was great. I love the sukiyaki broth and their meat is really good too. I love the healthy noodles, just cook them long enough til they are super soft. Their sauces and veggies are great too, everything came together to be super delicious!! The second time we visited we came on a Sunday around dinner time and made a reservation for 7:30, but at 6 my friend got notified they were getting our table ready so we were like ok we are hungry already so we just went. And when we arrived they said oh so we just say that so you will check in (and you have to have your whole party) but we won't have the table ready for another HOUR. The girl telling us this seemed really sorry because that is literally the dumbest thing ever but I mean it's not like her policy lol. We ended up being able to sit at the bar and had really great service there actually but not too much room. That evening there were like 5 birthday celebrations so they really know how to disrupt the customers every time they are ready to sing happy birthday. Like hitting pots and pans, blasting the birthday music. Etc. But still worth going back, just maybe for lunch or a late dinner.

Tatiana G.

Yelp
While I unfortunately don't have pictures, you wouldn't be disappointed even if you weren't sure. The menus have pictures on them and you can see which meats are beef or pork. The food was absolutely amazing and I got the basic ramen and so much beef to go with it. The staff were so clear spoken and kind toward whoever they were serving along with my family. A lady that was sitting at the table over made sure to say hello when she sat down by us and to say goodbye. Everyone was so mellowed out and calm while also joking among themselves with no drama and it was just a place you could eat and laugh without much worry with the nice music in the back and the smell of different foods weren't all in your face and was very filling. As soon we have guests to Hawaii, we're coming back for sure.

Yelp
Enjoyed the experience & food! My group & I (8 of us) arrived around 6 pm & there was a HUGE waitlist. Luckily, we joined the waitlist on Yelp while driving there so we were on spot #2 out of 40-something groups! After checking in, we still had to wait about 30 minutes until we were finally seated. The wait was worth it though, because the food was so good!! There's a large buffet of different veggies, seafood, noodles, sauces, etc, so it was fun choosing. I ordered the Original House broth for my soup & Soy Glazed Chicken Karaage as my app -- both good! My ultimate favorite meat choices I tried were the Beef Toro & the Pork Shoulder! So tasty! (You can order 4 meats per table at a time) Great customer service too -- The waiters were always checking in on our group, refilling our soups, and asking for our next order of meat! There is a time limit of 1.5 hrs but I didn't feel rushed at all! Definitely would come here again!

Yelp
AYE! $22.95 Never Tasted So Good If you've ever wanted to dip unlimited meats and veggies into boiling broth like you're conducting a delicious science experiment, Shabuya is your spot. Lunch for $22.95? Yes, please! But don't roll in at 2:45 thinking you're slick--they'll kindly remind you the lunch deal ends at 3:00, and you better be seated by 2:30. It's the rule, respect the rule. Now let's talk about the real MVPs: * Meat. Thin-sliced, endless, and ready to be swirled in broth like you're painting a masterpiece. * Veggies & noodles. They're there to make you feel healthy. * The sauces. Dipping game STRONG. I had so much ponzu and goma dare (sesame sauce) that I practically drank it. No shame. The lunch deal is like a dream: All-you-can-eat shabu-shabu without emptying your wallet. I walked in hungry, left questioning my life choices but fully satisfied. Pro tip: Pace yourself. The first plate feels manageable... until you're five trays of meat deep and sweating like you just ran a marathon (spoiler: you didn't). Final thoughts? Best shabu-shabu deal in town. AYE, Shabuya! You have my heart and my stretchy pants.

Yelp
Bang for your money! Great atmosphere, awesome selection of drinks and let's not forget the food itself... you can't go wrong.

Yelp
It was great to have hearty and healthy food at a reasonable price. You get your own hot pot with choice of flavors and all the beef, chicken, seafood, veggies, noodles, mushrooms, and more to add to the pot!
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Soo accommodating to babies, big parties, and service was so quick! It's pretty loud and lively in there so just a heads up. But they celebrate birthdays and they're very cheerful. Their iron flank is my favorite and pork belly! Food was super yummy. Make sure to put your name on the waitlist because it gets long!
google avatar

Hanna K.

Yelp
Always a long line so if you are going for dinner, make sure to join the waitlist on Yelp ASAP. It is clean but has greasy floors so try not to wear shoes that could be slippery because you will have to get up and get your own veggies and other proteins and seafood items from the bar. The food items were all fresh and were refilled frequently. They will bring the main meat items to the table so just call a server to place additional orders. Since you get your own pot instead of shared pot for the table, you can decide on your own soup base and add in whatever you prefer.
google avatar

Jonette C.

Yelp
Good bang for your buck for an all you can eat hot pot location. It's not the greatest but it does the job. The service is average nothing above and beyond. It's a very busy place and can be quite the wait if you don't make a reservation ahead of time. I like to take family here for hot pot on occasion.

Yelp
We love eating here so much! Perhaps too much... But I have noticed customer service getting worse, yet still acceptable, considering servers are probably working with less help. It's tough, I get it. However yesterday we had the worst service, but food was still good so I still give 2 stars. This server came to take 1 person's order and then walked away to service another table. We thought that was odd, since normally the servers take everyone's soup order at the same time. Then he came back, no apology, with that soup. Then took another order and then walked away. So odd. Came back with the soup. So when he asked for the next soup order, we gave the other 2 soups at the same time so he wouldn't take even longer. We knew there was a short time eating limit (90 minutes is short to eat really hot food!). Strike 2 was that when he took our third meat order, he actually stopped and questioned us before submitting our order. "Are you sure you can eat it all?" I think what was upsetting was that he didn't question the table next to us. Plus the meats we were ordering only had 2 meats per tray. Strike 3: Then he kept coming around to remind us that we had to finish our food. The first time, we were at the 1 hour mark. Then at the 1:05 mark. We started to notice how often, which was every 5 minutes. So finally we said we still had time to eat! He said he knew, but there were lots of people outside waiting. It was past 2pm. We had to wait for our table, so why shouldn't they have to wait for theirs? Why should we be rushed? I asked him to give me the check earlier. We even joked about it, so not just a simple sentence. But at the hour mark, he put the check at the other end of the table. When I gave him the card, he selected tip of 20% and hovered to watch me complete the transaction. I changed it to the lower 18%. I wanted to tip even lower, but you have to customize the tip to change it from the default selections of 18, 20, and I can't recall the upper value. I didn't feel bold enough to change it even lower while he was watching. Overall we still love shabuya but that server has got to go! Made us extremely upset!

Yelp
Shabuya was ehhh! The broth was eh. I got the original house. The pork belly and beef was good and the crab was so good! Very fancy, a little pricey but service was Amazing! Definitely for the tourists lol. I heard that there's better local hot pot with more flavor! But over all EH. I loved the experience!

Yelp
This is our top hotpot spot to go to! Recommend to go on at an ideal time because of the popularity; wait times can vary from being seated right away to 2+ hours. No reservations but there is a waitlist to sign into when you arrive. After being seated you order a base of broth and any meats, appetizers, sides, and specials they have to offer. Sauce, seafood, and sides are displayed in the center as an AYCE bar. Ambiance is casual and this place never disappoints with quality and taste!

Yelp

Yelp
Hands down the best AYCE Hot Pot around. I'm more of getting my money's worth and the Sukiyaki broth is the best if you like sweet broth then this is the one. Parking is easy since it's smacked in the Ala moana shopping mall. The only downside is the wait can be 2+ hrs long. I mean If your trying to do dinner definitely arrive way earlier than the expected time to eat bc you will be waiting to get in every single time. Lunch is always easier especially during the weekdays but the weekends definitely good luck! I always love their seafood options more than their meats options. I do miss the enoki mushrooms they haven't had it for a while and I wish they bring it back. I'll go here at least once a month to get my fix.

Yelp
Everything is well in the branch located in Hawaii. Service was good and food is great. Price is always okay. Will go again when visit Hawaii. The one in Alhambra CA is well too.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with co workers. Our server, Rheyl, was very attentive with refilling our broths and constantly checked up on us when we were running low on meat to see if we wanted more. The dishwashers and bussers were also very attentive with clearing our used dishes out of the way. The meat quality is good and I like that the slices are on the more thin side as it cooks quicker in the broth. They have a great assortment of veggies and seafood to put in your soups which you can go up to the buffet and grab yourself. I also enjoyed that we were able to make our own sauces to our liking! It is a great place to go for lunch with friends or a nice dinner out, but be sure to check the waitlist and list yourself before going. Luckily, it was not too crowded when we went!

Yelp
The food here was tasty and plentiful. They continued to bring out meat for us to cook shabu shabu. The good assortment of veggies was impressive. This dinner was simply yummy and satisfying. Thank you Shabuya!

Yelp
Selection isn't as large as I'm used to but I made do. The service was very professional. Prompt and clean. The vibe was good, could see a lot of people walking outside. If you're into people watching.

Yelp
This is a popular hot pot restaurant, so it can get pretty busy. I like that they have a Yelp waiting list, so you can add yourself to the list before arriving. Service left much to be desired. Our server asked if it was our first time and whether we scanned the menu QR code. Then she mentioned some popular broth flavors and took our order without explaining anything. The person that brought our meat also didn't explain which one is which until we asked. How it works here is that they'll take your orders for broth, appetizer, and meat only. There is a bar in the middle where you could get seafood, vegetables, sauce, and noodles. Tip: It's AYCE so don't fill your stomach with appetizers. Save room for seafood and meat. * Original Broth 4/5 - Savory vegetable broth. Tasted like a healthy seaweed tofu broth. Nothing special. If you end up getting a broth you don't like, you can always ask for a refill of a different broth. * Spicy Miso 5/5 - Sweet savory umami miso broth that was mildly spicy. Not too bad even if you can't handle a lot of heat. They also had a non-spicy miso version. * Wagyu 5/5 - Tender with an underlying sweetness. Get this and don't bother with any other types of beef! The cut did vary, though. The first wagyu tray we got was amazing. The next one was not as tender. * Ribeye 4/5 - Tender, more lean meat so not as soft as wagyu. * Flat Iron Steak 3/5 - More tough and chewy. * Toro 4/5 - Fatty and chewy in a good way, but it's easy to get sick of. * Lava Flow 5/5 - This was like a strawberry pina colada. Definitely get this delicious drink! * Add-ons I tried: Konjac noodles (Chewy flat noodles) okay tasting 3/5. Wood ear mushroom - crunchy texture 4/5. Fish Fillet 4.5/5. Shrimp good, not that fresh 4/5. Corn chewy fun texture 5/5. Clams 5/5.

Yelp
This was our second time here, I forgot to review the first time. We had two birthdays going on and the 10 year old had some pretty strong opinions about our other choices so we all agreed on Shabuya. The price SEEMS prohibitive but let me break it down for you. $30.99 for adults and it includes an hour and a half of all you can eat hotpot with whatever meat, broth and veggies you want, all you can eat appetizers (they bring em fresh) and all you can drink fountain drinks and tea. We had 9 people, only one of whom qualified for the child's rate of $10.99. Normally, at a regular full service place, each persons entree and drinks would run us around $35. Add on 4 appetizers at $15 and a 20% tip and I'm over $400. Our bill was $287 and that included a %15 tip for the large party. We added an extra 5%. So this actually SAVED me over a hundred bucks. Our servers name was Pineapple (that's what the name tag said) and she was ON POINT. Water stayed full, broth stayed topped off (she even replaced my son's entire pot when he tried to get too creative and ruined his.) Appetizer's were on the table within 5 minutes of ordering and they were burn your mouth hot and crispy and they kept coming. Need more meat? BAM! Chicken Karage? BAM! Did I hear an empty drink slurp? BAM. Nobody at the table is moving or talking anymore? Here's your bill, tips included, have a great night. This place runs like a well oiled machine. The staff is weaving between tables at high speed carrying hot broth so watch wear you push your chair when getting up. They keep the buffet pans full and chilled so you don't have to hoard. They don't take reservations. You can put yourself on the waitlist via YELP but you won't get confirmed or seated until the entire party is there. Fridays before 6pm is a great time to go. No waitlist usually. Go hungry.

Yelp
A nice convenient place to get hot pot at Ala Moana. This would not be my go-to hot place on island, but if you're in the area, it's not a bad place to stop in for a meal. Depending on what time you go, there is always a huge wait. I also use the online waitlist reservation ahead of time to limit waiting, but always end up waiting anywhere from 45minutes to as long as 1.5 hours. Food: The variety of hotpot options here is pretty good and expansive. They've got a huge ice box in the center of the restaurant to let you choose what kind of vegetables, side dishes, seafood, dumplings, noodles and sauces. They also have "hot" foods to give as appetizers. Honestly, I would skip this because it takes forever to get them and they're always cold or room temperature. The meat quality is also pretty good here, my only gripe is that they only give you about 4-5 slices of each type and only let you pick like four different types at a time, and again depending on what time you go it can take forever to get your meats. Service: Service isn't too bad. The people working here always seems to be running around and doing what they're supposed to, but because of the high volume of people that they're having to serve getting anything takes forever. Not at the fault of the staff, but more along the lines of them just needing more people. Ambiance: It's a very clean establishment, and seems to be the place that a lot of people come for birthday celebrations. I went on a Friday night and I swear, every 5-10 minutes there was a loud celebratory annoucement for someone's birthday. With that in mind don't expect to be have a quiet dinner. Overall: The food and staff are pretty good, so it's good for the location and convenience, but honestly I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. You're better off going somewhere else that's more quiet with better quicker service and food.

Yelp
Weekday lunch is a good deal here for all you can eat hot pot. Right now, it's 22.99$ for ACE lunch. They had 5 different broth flavors and 5 meat cuts to choose from . Lots of different types of veggies, noodles, and seafood to choose from .

Yelp
Update: we went again yesterday and service was great! We never had to wait or search for our server! Food was amazing and I already can't wait to go again! You really can't go wrong with their lunch special! Food is great, service is OK. They can get pretty busy so the servers don't check in on the tables as often as they should.
