On 7/17, around 5:30pm, the guy who checked us in at the Shade hotel was super unprofessional (bald heavier set man). He was not friendly and didn't have customer service. First off, he took a very long time to check us in and give us our keys, then when we went to our room (which was on the first floor close to the restaurant), it was very loud because they were hosting weddings and parties. We went back to ask for a different room, he said none was available. My husband asked for a manager, he stated he was a manager. He then asked for a discount because our toddler was unable to sleep because of the noise. Then he said he wasn't a manager?!?! Why lie? So my husband waited for another worker there, which was very nice and accommodating. He said he would be able to move us and even called us later to see if we had settled in comfortably.
If it wasn't for the other guy working, our stay would have been miserable.
Great location and spacious room, but found it a little weird that bed does not come with sheet. Just fitted sheet and comforter. The phone also didn't work, so we couldn't call the front desk. Every time i tried to call, it had a busy signal. So i walked to the front desk, no one was using the phone. Brought it up to front desk, but all they said was "I didn't hear it ringing"
Free breakfast included cereals and milk, few selection of fruit and juices, and packaged muffins.
