"Designed by renowned architect Tom Fazio and opened in 1989, Shadow Creek is an 18-hole course that stretches roughly 7,560 yards. The course is known for Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson’s famous match in 2018 and also for being one of the most expensive courses to be built in the United States."

Watched my LPGA ladys take each other on here. Simply incredible. Thought I was at Augusta national with how in shape and beautiful this course was. Also had a few too many margaritas so automatic five stars. Makes me proud to call Las Vegas my home!

A bucket list golf experience. One of the most memorable golf trips of my life and if you check my other reviews you’ll see I’ve been lucky and done a few great trips. No disrespect to the other courses, but this is a first class golf course and experience from start to finish. It’s probably as close as any of us average joes will get to feeling like we’re playing in a big tournament. The caddies, the clubhouse staff, the pro shop staff, on and on everyone treated us with world class service. I expect it’s likely because of the large contingent of celebrity members and guests (whose lockers you get to borrow for the day while you play, an added perk). Anyways beyond just those perks and the service the course is unbelievable. Imagine golf tycoon game back in the day. Tom Fazio was given his plot of land from Mr. Wynn and told build your dream course and that’s exactly what he did. It’s an oasis in the desert and if you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to play it don’t hesitate and make it happen.

What a gorgeous golf course! It so well maintained that it looks unreal, like a panting, an oasis in the dessert. The greens are so good that it feels like you’re in a pool table, the fairways are impeccably manicured. The holes are pretty long, with a lot of par 4s being more than 500 yards. But what a challenge and a bliss. Our caddie Chris was such a great person and competent, ask for him. This is definitely my favorite course in Nevada. Highly recommended!

Google
Amazing golf course in Las Vegas. Course is always in top shape, staff is top notch. And the service is 2nd to no one. Expensive for a tee time. But Shadow Creek is a bucket list golf course. The experience here makes you feel like you are the only group on the course, and they treat you like a king. Thank you for the great experience

Google
Absolutely amazing. Yes it's expensive, yes it is over the top, but if you're a golfer you owe it to yourself to play here. From the second you get picked up to the second you are dropped off, it's an incredible experience. The course was in great shape, the staff were so friendly and so professional this is what golf is supposed to be like. Food in the club house was tasty, and weirdly affordable compared to the green fee price. Tl;Dr golf here. You won't be disappointed.

Google
This is in my top 10 greatest golf courses. The whole experience is amazing. When you enter these grounds the whole world melts away and all that is left is this perfect golf course. There are challenging and memorable par 4s, 3s, and 5s. The test of a golf course for me is how different each par 4 is. I went again. This is one of the greatest experiences for golf ever!! Love being picked up in the limo. The staff at the clubhouse is super accommodating. The facility doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside it’s amazing. The course is in amazing shape. Caddies are outstanding. On #17, you have to go to the front of the tee box and see the headstones of the dolphins.

Shadow Creek is the best golf course in Nevada and one of the best in America: The latest Golf Digest rankings have SC as the 27th best golf course in America. A veritable oasis amidst the glitz and glare of Las Vegas. This course is a testament to what human ingenuity, paired with a true love for the game, can produce in the most unexpected of terrains. This is like having Augusta in the middle of a desert, complete with green awnings at the clubhouse. It's also why the first "The Match" between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods was played and televised here. From the very first tee, one is immediately transported to a different realm, far from the bustling heart of Sin City. The meticulous landscaping, the gentle undulations of the fairways, and the serenity of the water features all evoke the finest parklands I've seen around the world. You first ask, how in the world did they get all these pine trees to the desert? The course itself demands precision, but rewards bold play. Much like the philosophy I've always endorsed, golf is not just about strength, but about thinking, strategizing, and most importantly, respecting the course. And at Shadow Creek, respect is something you learn quickly. Tom Fazio designed each hole with such intricate details that even the most seasoned golfers will find themselves pausing to rethink their usual strategies. But more than the challenge it poses, what truly captivated me about Shadow Creek is its commitment to the essence of golf. Despite being in the middle of the desert, it manages to echo the greenery and tranquility of the sport's Scottish origins. Of course, the facilities and service are second to none. From the attentive staff to the top-tier amenities, every aspect of the Shadow Creek experience speaks of luxury and class. The practice facilities are world-class. Yet, what stands out the most is how the course makes one feel. Even with all my years in golf, playing on countless courses, it’s rare to find one that elicits such a profound sense of awe and admiration. Shadow Creek isn't just a golf course, it's a reminder of why we fell in love with this game in the first place. Amid Las Vegas, Shadow Creek shines not just as a beacon of golfing excellence, but as a tribute to the timeless spirit of the game.

One of the most best golf experiences I've had. Course is in perfect condtion. One of the must do's in Las Vegas for any golfers.

Steven H.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful course. Conditions were immaculate. Our caddie, Buddy on this visit was funny and really helped us with reading the greens. Service from the club house to the cafe was top notch.

Rory V.

Yelp
What an amazing golf experience we had. The course was in excellent condition & for someone who has golfed all over the world, this was one of my favorite courses I've played. Monte & his team made us feel so special & we had a great caddie. Can't wait to come back soon.

Yelp
Just do it. One of the best courses Ive ever played in. Not that it is hard like Bethpage black but it's a total escape into a different world. Peaceful, natural and superb conditions come to mind. Not a sole in front or in back of you. Is it worth the 1250.00 per person? Yes. Just do it.

Tom L.

Yelp
One of the most expensive rounds of golf I've ever played. I much prefer Pebble Beach to here (I would also much rather play Spyglass Hill - which is half the price). But if you have the money this course is pristine. They quality of the course can't be questioned and it is far superior in every way to The Wynn golf course. The best course in the Vegas area.

Emerson R.

Yelp
This course is amazing as you are in admiration for this Tom Fazio design. Once owned by hotel and casino mogul Steve Wynn, this course has you thinking Augusta, or a North Carolina type of layout. The only golf course that I know of where a limo takes you to and from your MGM hotel (Bellagio, Mirage, MGM, etc). Upon arrivel to the front if the clubhouse, I was met by the GM and my caddy. The GM gave me a tour of the facility and gave a brief rundown of what time to expect for tee off (frost delay) I was the first tee time off and finished in less than 3 hours. Which was perfect do that I could get to a tv to catch most of the football games on and watch the golf tournament that was being held on Kapalua. The locker area had doors with names of pro golfers and famous athletes. The restaurant had some pretty good food as I ate thei Wagyu beef burger. Definitely a try if you're an advocate of beef sandwiches. Now, as far as the course is concerned. Beautiful layout, nice greens, challenging bunkers that will make you regret hitting your ball into them. It's a good thing I had a good caddy. John gave good reads, pointied out where not to hit, and of course where to hit towards. Note:$100 is the standard tip, but give a little more, especially if they were a good caddy. The 17th is one of the signature holes. A par 3 with a wide green but only about 7 yards from front to back. Every hole is prestige, so take it all in when you play here. I'm looking forward to returning here again.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to play this course last thursday 5/12. It was set up by my friend's Bellagio host. Tee time was for 10:50am and we were picked up around 9:30am. The drive was approx 20 mins and you arrive at a gate. This place was like an oasis in the desert. So unassuming from the outside...but a totally different vibe once you get in. Service: From the moment you arrive, you are greeted and escorted. You never touch your bags again. Everyone that we encountered were professional and polite. We were introduced to our fore caddy. Chris made it a wonderful experience. Course: Nothing was spared to bring this lush patch course to the desert. I have never played on such manicured grass. Fairways and rough were so pleasing to the eye. The greens rolled fast and true. Bunkers were perfect. I love the amount of trees that surrounded the course. IT was so beautiful. Experience: I would def consider this a once in a lifetime experience (due to the crazy exp green fees). I never felt rushed. The caddy experience made it even better. We were able to enjoy the round. The course can be difficult if you played from the tips. I didn't come close to shooting my best round, but enjoyed every minute of it.

Yelp
I have played here numerous times already on its first year of operation. This is by far the most beautiful course i have ever had the pleasure of playing.... Specially the shadows across the fairways makes almost every hole a signature hole if it were on any other courses.... Fairways was as perfect as as some greens on top end courses. It used to be reservedand comped for only big time gamblers. Now you can get a stay and play package with some of the wynn properties in vegas like mirage, wynn and etc. for about a thousand, you stay in one of their suites, get driven , dropped off and picked up again to and from the course to your hotel in their limo.

Kenny N.

Yelp
Unbelievable course, great drinks and fantastic service all around! If possible, I would try to drive your own car to the course...rather than the limo they offer. Ours broke down on the highway, leaving us in a dangerous position roadside for almost 30 minutes. Our caddie, John, was fantastic. I'd like him to come play with us at his leisure anytime he wants. Maybe he should come loop Frost Creek in Eagle CO during the hot summer. Anyways, gorgeous course, great service but I'd opt to drive yourself if they'd let ya!

Daniel L.

Yelp
The only thing better then the layout and condition of this course is the the level of customer service. My Dad is a handicapped Army Veteran. He is 74 and can barely walk, however he still loves the game of golf and does his best to play once a week. I called ahead and spoke to John Buffalo the Director of Golf. He linked us up with the best caddie I've ever had (Nick). John instructed Nick to help my Dad navigate the course so it would be easy on my Dad's Disability. My Dad has a great experience, and said it was a day of Golf He will never forget. This is my new favorite course. It's right there with Pebble because of the level of service. Thank you John, Nick, and Shadow Creek.

Byron B.

Yelp
As if Shadow Creek really needs this review. Bucket list course checked off. Request Brad as your caddie. Super cool dude. Make sure to order the Rhonda-Rita at the bar. Be careful, it'll hit you quick.

P A.

Yelp
This place is ridiculously awesome. Easily the best golf course in Las Vegas. The course is in immaculate condition and the best part is that there is nobody on the course besides your group and your caddies. I won't do this course any justice with this review as I don't have the words to describe it. The course is sunk below street level, so you can't see any signs of being in Las Vegas. All you see on the horizon are trees and mountain tops. The greens are very fast and always in perfect condition. There are two houses on the property. One is the former residence of Steve Wynn and the other was owned by a former senior executive of Mirage Resorts (before the MGM acquisition). The golf course is very challenging....bring your "A" game. It's not like the other courses in Las Vegas, which are desert landscaped and more like target golf......this is a traditional course and if you didn't know you were in the middle of a desert city, you wouldn't realize it while you were playing. Do not pass on an opportunity to play here.

Kenny O.

Yelp
What can I say? One of the most talked about and exclusive golf courses in the US (at least it was back in the day before MGM bought it over and opened it to their guests). The whole course is really stunningly beautiful... they've got all kinds of wildlife here like flamingos, deers, and I can't remember what else. Oh and of course there are snakes :) Very traditional looking clubhouse/locker room, a nice dining area overlooking the 18th hole, but the food is nothing to brag about... (I remember the Kobe beef noodle soup I ordered for $80 that was complete garbage). I've played here a handful of times and each time has been absolutely amazing. The course condition and the greens are wonderfully kept (what do you expect since they only allow 10 groups a day or something ridiculous like that). It seems like there is always a celebrity playing here at any given time. One time Michael Jordan was a few groups in front of me, another time Willy Nelson was on the driving range right next to me. Caddy's are a requirement here. They will ride standing on the back of your golf cart and you get 1 caddy for each group of 4. All are very nice and professional and will give you tips on your swing as well as help read the line on the green for your putts. I haven't been back since MGM bought this place but if you get the chance to play don't hesitate and just do it. You can thank me later.

Rich Y.

Yelp
I don't think there's a golfer out there that would talk bad about this place. Once inside its easy to forget you're minutes from the strip. Service was top notch as you would expect from a course of this caliber. The guy that caddied for us was very laid back and friendly. The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the food. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

Stacey M.

Yelp
5 stars isn't enough. Amazing experience and everything they say about it being stunning, quiet, open (not seeing another party) is true. Our caddy Pav (Buddy) was an absolute gem. Loved every bit of it.

Robin M.

Yelp
Yes the course is beautiful and the experience wonderful but whats the point if you can't play it. MGM advertise it as a benefit of staying at one of their resorts but the truth is it's nearly impossible to get a t time in October. For,the second year in a row I called 2 months out only to be told that it was too soon. Then I called back 5 weeks out only to be told they are sold out for the days we are in Vegas. Even a casino host could not get us a tee time when I know for a fact that they only allow 6 or 7 groups a day and half of them don't show up. It's a joke MGM. I'm taking my business to WYNN. They have a pretty nice Vegas course as well. I'm guessing you don't care.

Tomas B.

Yelp
Well there is hype there is expectation and there is delivery. The previously owned Steve Wynn, Tom Fazio design and ultra exclusive course is now open to guests of any MGM property. Though at $500.00 a person green fee it still gets no play. Aside from my two foursomes, the only other group on the course was the President of Aria and his guys who played through us. The $500.00 fee includes private stretch limo 1 per foursome to and from the MGM property of your choice, greens fee, a forecaddie as well as use of the facility. Outrageous to pay that for a round of golf maybe, but then again an avid golfer has though experiences that are once in a lifetime. Would I play it again, tough call big price tag but was it worth my wild this time absolutely. First off in North Las Vegas in the middle of nowhere you go through the gates and you say ok what is through here. Then you realize someone transformed the desert into a Georgia / Carolina golf course that is simply unbelievable spectacular. Clubhouse is small and traditional as without public play you don't need much and the landscape and grounds are immaculate. Wildlife everywhere from the multiple pheasants following you around to the snakes, deer and hogs it's pretty unbelievable this place exists out here. Moose our forecaddie was fun & informative, though he couldn't read a putt to save his life LOL.. I am a good putter so I normally don't need that much help but he did misclub me and misread me a few times. Course itself was what can I say AUGUSTA to me. Hills, water carries, rolling gently and sometimes violently up and down these manmade hills. I have no words to describe the level of golf this place is only to say if you have the means and opportunity and you are a golf enthusiasts do it boys. Greens compared to Cascata the day before not even close. Probably running 10/11 fair bent grass greens. Biggest difficulty is going long oh boy. Heavy grass behind does not allow you to chip down the hill it grabs and holds your ball so knock it back on the green and take your medicine no up and downs from behind a hole be short no long. Bunkers deep white sand that was easy to get out of a pleasure in fact. Service and staff incredible. What can I say, It was truly a awe inspiring experience.

Chris B.

Yelp
I was very excited to get the opportunity to play Shadow this week. It was everything I expected it to be. Great layout, perfect fairways and greens, very friendly staff, and great forecaddies. If you get the opportunity, you have to play it!

Albert K.

Yelp
Words can't explain the awesomeness of this course from the moment you step on to the property to your last putt on 18.

J W.

Yelp
Probably one of the nicest golf courses in all of America and I think most hard core golfers would probably agree with that statement. With that being said, the way I played the course would have disgusted most true golf enthusiasts. I think my caddy spent more time looking for my errant balls than doing anything else that day. I think I must have lost 2 sleeves of balls into the waterfall on one hole. This place is a true oasis in the desert. More than worth the 500 dollar green fee if you're a golf fanatic. But if you're a golf hack like me, just try to get one of your high roller buddies to take you there after they get comped from dropping 20 grand at the black jack tables. If you're lucky you might even run into MJ at the clubhouse.

Sara O.

Yelp
The best course in Las vegas. Fast greens. Great water features. Unbelievable beauty at this course. If you have the chance to play here make it happen.

Mark T.

Yelp
Golf course was nice and well maintained and not over crowded, but the staff (especially the head pro) was a jerk! Bought our tee time via Birdie Bug and I felt that they treated us inferior to full paying customers/members because of this. Hey, if you don't want value minded golfers on your courses, then don't offer these promotions. Get over it. It's snobs like you that give golf a bad rap.

Daniel K.

Yelp
How this was built on the plot it was built is astounding. To say that something about this course felt mildly artificial is a testament to how well it is executed. Great layout, exceptional caddy and a perfect day of weather. The only let down if the day was that I didn't have time for a second lap.

Robert V.

Yelp
Make sure you have this on your bucket list!!!!! This is without a doubt an experience you will never forget,,,,,,ESPECIALLY if you get "Sarge" as your caddie! He has amazing stories that go back 3 decades that make you think of Forest Gump with all of his accomplishments, the guy is truly an fantastic guy that will make you feel like you've known him forever, and he has got down EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF THE ENTIRE COURE INCLUDING THE BREAK ON EVERY GREEN AND EVERY SHORTCUT. An amazing golf adventure and every hole is secluded not only from the outside world, but also other holes. Once you are tee'd off you see what Fazio was thinking on every shot and why he his a real master at course design. A little pricey, but that's what makes it exclusive and if you think of the money you saved by not being on a craps table for 4 hours combined with the therapy you get on a beautiful serene golf course, the money is worth it.

Dave M.

Yelp
The layout is great to golf and friendly staff - caddy did an awesome job. I highly recommend this place.

Scott G.

Yelp
Course is spectacular. Caddies are awesome. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
