OUTSTANDING!! A great experience from start to finish. A must if you are in the area. Atmosphere: Fun and electric, a great beach vibe - good music, but no so loud you can't have a conversation. Service: Top notch. Stephen (Manager) runs a tight ship and the staff are attentive, but not overbearing. Lots of smiles, great food and drink recommendations. Food: Amazing!! It's not often we eat at the same place for lunch and dinner, but Shaggy's is exceptional. Amazing food, great menu with lots of choices, at reasonable prices. Would I come back? Absolutely - I'm in NOLA for work several times a year and I would make the 90 minute drive to eat here. Thanks to Stephen, Stuart and all the team for their wonderful service, laughs and food/drink recommendations.

Last minute decision for dinner on a Saturday night. Probably the best restaurant during our trip! The energy was so light and welcoming, the service was top! The food (and adult drinks) were absolutely delicious! We sat outside and enjoyed music, the breeze and an overall wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a place for the family to enjoy, this would be a perfect place to visit.

Shout out to Mari, who might honestly be the best server on the planet — she set the tone for an incredible visit to Shaggy’s in Biloxi. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the view from the deck over the Gulf was absolutely stunning. The food was gorgeous and full of flavour. I had the Parmesan oysters, the peel-and-eat shrimp, and the shrimp and spinach dip, and everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. We also tried the chicken burger, which was juicy and delicious. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. If I could give this place more than five stars, I absolutely would.

Food and cocktails were delicious! Our server Zack was very personable and gave great recommendations that made our dinner memorable. Beautiful views of the gulf and sunset!

Fantastic spot with a great beach view. Everyone was super friendly and the service was excellent and fast. Loads of food options that all came in portions way too big for us. Highly recommend if you're staying nearby and trying to get away from casino food or are driving through.

Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the sunset. Our hostess, Meghan, was extremely welcoming and took drink orders right from the start. Our waiter, Zack was attentive, super friendly, and made sure to move heaters for us and another table since it was chilly. He even set us up with dessert from the restaurant for our anniversary, which we thought was above and beyond. The nachos with the nom nom sauce were so delicious and had fresh ingredients, which we greatly appreciated. Such a great evening and experience on the coast. Thanks to the Shaggy’s team for helping to make it special.

Dined in December on a Saturday evening, for dinner. We sat in the heated patio dining area, and had to wait approximately 5 minutes to be sat. Jordan was our server, & she took great care of us! She was friendly, and helpful with all the menu items. Including a strawberry smoothie, crab legs, and chocolate brownie dessert for our granddaughter, & she enjoyed it!

My husband and I had a wonderful time here at the bar! The bartender was awesome and friendly and all of the drinks were fantastic. Not pictured, but we also got stuffed avocados and fried green tomatoes.

JUSTEN is an amazing bartender! has the best personality, sweet as can be, I would come back over and over just to see him!!! food was also good! me and my fiance has the seafood boil and gumbo! was delicious!!

Always love coming to Shaggy's! We usually visit once or twice each time we're in town and we've been going there for several years. Service is always right on point and super friendly, starting at the hostess stand. The person that seats you also takes your drink order, so you're not waiting for your server to get your drinks. Genius! Every server we've ever had is amazing. They're friendly and really make you feel that they're happy you're there. The gorgeous Gulf views can't be beat. We have mostly sat outside, but they do have inside seating. Food is yummy! We have tried many different things on the menu and it's all good. Mostly we get the fried shrimp plates...love their homemade remoulade. The doggy menu is such a cute idea and it's served on a frisbee that you can take home...adorable! They always bring the pups a water bowl. *Bonus - They offer a 10% military discount

Amazing service, it almost felt like we were all friends! Location is unbeatable, you can literally sit right next to the beach. I had the Mahi Mahi Tacos, they were good but nothing special. Prices were very reasonable given the location. With the amount of great food in the area, Shaggy's didn't do anything to impress me but it also didn't let me down. I'd be hard pressed to give it a 5 but I will likely go back at a later date and try something else and possibly revise the rating as I realize trying one dish on a large menu can be a hit or miss.

Have to say this Shaggy's is my favorite place to enjoy great seafood while enjoying a view of the coast. They always seem to have a table available no matter how busy, and the staff is always fun and attentive. On our visits we love order a huge seafood platter for sharing, then a few smaller items like the MahiMahi tacos if we have room left. And the tables on the beach side offer some of the best views of the sunset later in the day.

Ambiance, tremendous service, and the best blackened red fish over a bed of squash and zucchini, drizzled in a Cajun cream sauce with shrimp, surrounded by little red potatoes...all I can say is yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, and yum!!! Getting seated went fast and I was placed at a quant little table at the end of the bar, still under cover, but next to outdoor deck seating, which gave me a view of the inside of the restaurant and the beautiful ocean!! Unfortunately, the weather was drizzly (rain), but I enjoyed every second...thank you for making meals great again!!

This place is a vacation! Love the vibe, food is really good, food selection is great! Our waitress Summer was absolutely awesome. The whole staff was great... last but not least the view!!!!

Sat at the bar (no wait) and ordered drinks and some appetizers. Bartender was nice, attentive. The food was excellent! I ordered the lemon pepper rub wings, fried pickles, beach balls and nachos. Beach balls are like loaded mashed potatoes rolled into a ball and deep fried. Fried pickles were good, crispy and not overly oily. The wings were awesome! I would definitely order again. Crispy, juicy, nicely seasoned and cooked all the way through - not very big though. Lastly, the nachos were huge! We were not expecting them to be so much - we split between three people and didn't finish them all. Would definitely come back to try other food items! We would have gotten more food but were going to dinner later.

A different vibe here. Decent food and prices. Nylah, the staff member showed me some attitude when I returned some food. As if she didn't believe me when I said that the entire meal was lukewarm Wifey had the seafood platter which had a lot of crab legs and all. The service was not bad, but my order wasn't good. I ended up not eating much, and wifey shared with me.

Ask for Bri because she hooked it up!! Great service from her and from the manager. They made the experience memorable for my buddies bday dinner. Love this place!! The seafood boil is fire! Don't miss this spot! Love the ambience of this spot by the beach. Check it out when you're in Biloxi!

Located right by the beach, this establishment is a good spot to get seafood right before or after playing in the water. I would say most of the food is good and not amazing, which I am perfectly okay with. All the fried food relied on sauces to help provide flavor, which was a disadvantage because the food itself was not sufficiently seasoned to provide flavor. This included the fried green tomatoes that was slightly seasoned, and some of the seafood items on the captain's platter. On the platter itself, the fish was not seasoned at all, so it needed tartar sauce for flavor. The hush puppies and the crabcakes were great and I could easily eat them by themselves and felt like they tasted good. The shrimp had good size. The dish overall had more fries than seafood which was meh, but I could deal with that since there was a lot of food overall. My partner had the flounder and I tried some. Both of us agreed on that it neede more salt, particularly for the fish and the veggies. The crab tasted great. Having lemon on top of the fish was a positive as lemon always got that special touch for fish dishes as we know. The blue & claw was a special item on the board rather than the menu, and that was the most enjoyable dish we've had. The crab claws were trimmed to make it easy for us to eat, which ended up being the case for sure, and the juice provided really good flavor, making it difficult to eat the claws without trying to coat the juice around it. I even tried dipping some of the fish from the captain's seafood platter to the juice and it turned out great! The cheesecake was excellent as well, especially since it was blueberry and white chocolate, which was already a combination that I didn't see often. There was a good flavor and textural distinction between the crust and the cream cheese portion, which made the dish very enjoyable. Overall I would recommend this place! The first time I have been here was 7 years ago, so it was great to see this place still thriving many years later.

Such a nice meal with open air seating for lunch on a Saturday. Were told there was a 20 min wait but we were seated in 5. Hostess (I think her name was Cris?) was rocking that waitlist! Started with Beach Balls - potato & bacon balls fried and served with queso and with ranch. Very yummy but very dense. Will pass on this next time. Husband ordered the fish of the day (triggerfish $28) with roasted potatoes, a shrimp cream sauce and a salad. Neither of us had ever had triggerfish, so we were very pleasantly surprised at the flaky white fish. I had the fried crab claws, which were supposed to be an appetizer, but at $29.99, they were my meal and I ate every one of them without the provided sauces. They were as good as any I remember ever having. And since they are SO hard to find - good ones, that is - it was well worth the price. With husband's Corona, my soda and all the food, lunch as $83.95 before tip. Pricy but something to think about for a monthly trek. Service was super friendly. People dropped off drinks, picked up plates, and most stopped to chat, including the manager. Can't wait to bring out of town company. :)

Nice spot for dinner! Great view of the beach. Grabbed the Mahi tacos, Swiss & mushroom burger, and a chicken sandwich. Food tasted great. I also grabbed a Miami vice from the bar, so tasty! Service was fast & friendly. Restaurant is nice & well kept. Highly recommend stopping in!

This is the best place on the Mississippi coast in Biloxi. Our waiter, Ryan, was the most attentive and courteous server I've had in Biloxi in a really long time. Definitely ask for him when you visit. The food was great. Fresh seafood, beachfront, laid back and easy going atmosphere. The drinks are cold and the cocktails are tasty. The prices are great for the quality of food and service. It's a must stop every time I'm in town.

I had a great time here at the Shaggy's restaurant. They had good service and the food was very delicious. The gator bites are to die for and have my highest recommendation to try as an appetizer for anyone who is interested in coming to this restaurant to try it. In addition the drinks are great as well.

My only issue was that the kitchen left off some of my ingredients and condiments. I didn't have any pickles or my extra tartar, sandwich didn't have nothing on it but bread, lettuce, and tomato. It's a good thing I asked the young lady for some more tatar sauce. Because I would have been pissed when I got home and saw that dry axx sandwich. Other than that sandwich was ok, flounder was seasoned. Service was good.

Wonderful deck seating overlooking the beach so you really get that beach vibe with the ocean breeze and views. The food was surprisingly good and the service was wonderful (thank you Ace!) We had a great time.

Rode up to Biloxi for my bday weekend, checked in the hotel and searched for a restaurant. One of the staff suggested Shaggy's and we headed out. Big restaurant, two sides-an inside and outside, great view of the water, even when uou sit inside. Our server was Caroline Ann, she was bubbly and friendly. Very conversational and made us laugh. The food was delicious, we tried the shrimp spinach dip and loved it. I had the rice bowl with jerk shrimp. The jersey is really spicy so if spice is not your thing, don't get it. My husband had the Mahi Mahi tacos, which was really good. We actually shared each other's food. We ordered the blueberry cheesecake, it was really delicious The restaurant was clean. There is an elevator for those that have challenges with stairs. Oh yea! Downstairs is an area where kids can play.

We came because it came up as having the best catfish in town, but we showed up and they said they didn't have cat fish... that was very disappointing. HOWEVER, the service and food made up for it very well. I ended up having their "beach balls" and a chicken Alfredo with bacon. All of it was absolutely delicious! Service was phenomenal. Great personalities all around with quick & friendly employees. The feel was very casual, but it was also "spirited" in a very fun and enjoyable way. The views were beautiful, and I can't wait visit Biloxi again and come back when they have catfish!

From the host, Kris, to Stewart, bartender, to our server, Ryan, the interactions were fun, positive, and friendly. We got a couple drinks at the bar waiting for a patio table. Once at the table, we had a pound of boiled Royal red shrimp with melted butter and cocktail sauce. For our entree, we had the shrimp trio of bacon wrapped shrimp, coconut shrimp, and grilled butter garlic shrimp with fries and hush puppies. All fantastic. For dessert we got a slice of key lime pie, a piece of caramel brownie pieces cheesecake. Drinks were a Biloxi blue and a Pineapple Paradise. Excellent experience. Peaceful dining experience.

Wow. I love when my close friend that lives in an area that I'm out of town from is the one that recommended where to go eat. He and I sat and had delicious food that we each both loved and the vibe in here was super fun too. The hostess was one my favorite ever. She was so great and humorous. This was a wonderful place to hang out and yummy food to eat.

This has been the best restaurant experience I've had with severe food allergies. A manager came out to our table to ask about the allergies and I shared my strategy when ordering at restaurants and her response was that is amazing that you try to make it as easy as possible on the staff. When food came out everything was perfect. I can't wait to return if only it was not a 6 hour drive, but we will definitely be back. Christine you and your staff are amazing I hope upper management sees this post.

I was in Biloxi for a convention, and the convention had not started yet so I had an evening free to grab something to eat that was not convention food. I went looking through websites to see if there was anything that stood out to me, and while I am not that big on going to "the big tourist place" I figured I would give it a shot in this case since it was on the water and not part of a casino. Arriving at the place, there was plenty of parking but it was somewhat busy. I walked in and looked about, then went out to the porch just to see how the ocean looked. It was a bit chilly and windy out, and the outdoor seating was not being used by anyone, which meant that they were not serving out there. In addition, there was a definite waiting list for people to get a table... but there was a bar with plenty of seats at it, so that is what I went for. I did a quick tour around the tables as well, just to see what others were eating... this is always something that I like to do, as it shows what tends to be the hot items on the menu that folks are enjoying. It sometimes sways me, but not always. I went with a sampling platter of shrimp, fish, and crab cakes. It was good, but it is also exactly what I expected to get from a place like this. See, I grew up in the Florida Keys.where places like this are all over the place, so finding really good seafood is something that I am always on the lookout for. I knew this was going to be commercialized stuff that was aimed at the tourist, but I just wasn't in the mood for finding that backwater place that only the locals know about to grab a bite to eat at. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but I know that there is better out there. I enjoyed the meal, the price was reasonable for what I got, and I got to see a bit of Biloxi while I was at it. The food, service, and interior are realistically valued at three stars, but the view gives it a bump to four.

Let's begin with this: I ordered the raw oysters. They were not cold, did not taste fresh, and looked like they had already given up on life. My husband got the crab boil--his crab was stringy and tasted... suspicious. I then made the brave (foolish?) decision to try the tuna poke bowl. The tuna was warm (not intentionally) and tasted like it had taken a wrong turn several days ago. I should have sent it back, but I didn't want to make a fuss, and since the oysters were also warm and off, I figured maybe that's just how they do things here. Let me be crystal clear, I do not recommend this place to anyone you actually like or anyone you'd prefer didn't spend the evening clutching their stomach. I genuinely do not understand how this place has such high ratings. Maybe just come for a drink--the cocktails were solid. Maybe everyone's getting tipsy enough that they forget the food was a disaster? That's the only explanation I've got. Skip this spot and go to Catch 110, Half Shell, or the Oyster Pub--all of them are lightyears better. We even contacted the restaurant afterward and got total radio silence, which pretty much confirmed our theory: this place is all about quantity, not quality. Proceed with caution (and maybe some Imodium AD).

I'm not big on seafood like husband is , so I ordered the burger . Wow ! Very good ! And the sweet bun was toasted and so yummy . Great bacon too. Think it was candied . Great !!!

We came in on a hot day and be prepared it's still really warm if you sit inside. Great service (we had someone being trained and he was great). Food was good. Shrimp Po Boy delicious - come hungry it's a big sandwich. Popcorn shrimp good as well. Flounder sandwich was also tasty (grilled). Good teas and good fries.

Beach bar with a view. Service was excellent Anna seated us right away and took our drink orders. Ray Ray and Alexis continued the great service. We started with the Blue Crab claws appetizer which was new to me but it was delicious and fun to eat. Then we shared the Blacked Mahi Mahi with a pineapple salsa and jasmine rice. Plenty for two. We didn't try any but the menu listed a number of great sounding tropical drinks.

Highly recommend for a great time with great food, drinks, and service!! Brett at the outside bar was wonderful! We enjoyed the shrimp artichoke dip, seafood platter, and bbq pulled pork nachos! You will not be disappointed! Come! Stay! Enjoy!

We had such a lovely experience at Shaggy's for a girls' lunch! It was my daughters' first time visiting the restaurant, and they were all smiles from start to finish. The atmosphere was relaxed--not too noisy--which made it easy for us to catch up and enjoy each other's company. Since it was a hot and humid day, we opted to dine inside, though there were plenty of people enjoying the fresh air on the patio. The food arrived fresh and hot, which we really appreciated. I had the grilled flounder sandwich, and the portion was generous--the flounder was huge, perfectly cooked, and incredibly juicy. My daughters tried the fried coconut shrimp and the fried fish platter, both of which were crispy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. My sister went with the fried shrimp platter and was very pleased. My mother had the charbroiled oysters, fried green tomatoes, and fried onion rings--she was very content with her meal and enjoyed every bite. Overall, we had a wonderful time--great food, great service, and great vibes. We'll definitely be back!

It's your typical beach restaurant with typical fried food. Nothing special really. Service was poor although you kind of expect it since its quantity of quality. But fun atmosphere for sure

The food is great here! And the service was just as good! It started storming when we were seated outside so the staff moved us inside and quickly accommodated us! We ordered Fried Pickles, Fried Green Tomatoes, the Epic Wings in lemon pepper dry rub, the Peel-and-eat Royal Reds, Shaggy's Snapper and Shaggy's Famous Cheese Burger. The fried pickles and green tomatoes were perfectly fried with a side of ranch that was a 10 out of 10 good quality house made ranch! The peel-and-eat Royal Reds were like a small seafood boil which was just prawns now really giant shrimp like everyone raves about; still good though. The cheese burger was pretty standard but the snapper was so delicious! It came with what I would describe as a light Alfredo sauce with three giant slices of mushroom and over cooked rice. The fish was perfectly good and seasoned well. Over all the food was pretty good. The inside was a nice bar with the outside seating making you feel like it was a beach resort with gave a nice vacation feel. And TVs everywhere for sports! Great place!

Located off of highway 90, right in the middle of so many things to do and see in Biloxi. Right on the beach, so the outdoor views are great around sunset. We sat down for a big party, Bobby was our server; he was prompt and attentive. I ordered a Biloxi Blue and my partner ordered a Rum Punch. The drinks were too sweet and tasted pre made. We ordered the captains platter for 2, the food was okay. Shrimp, Gumbo, flounder, hush puppies and gator bites; food was alright. nothing to crazy. overall, it's okay.

This spot is great for a bite to eat, drink, and view. Especially if you've got your pup in tow! Sunset will not disappoint :)

The food was amazing. My husband and I shared the shrimp trio. Plenty of food for both of us. The service was awesome. Jordan was very attentive. We sat outside so the view was everything we were looking for. Not too loud just right.

My waiter was the man who looks like he has a BBL. None of my business but ... he wasn't very personal. Maybe he was having a bad day who knows. As a tourist not a great impression. It gave Razoo's which for Texans is a Chili's with seafood. Meh.

OMG. The hype is real people the hype is real!!! The food the service the view!! 10/10 would rrecommend definitely coming back here!!! We loved everything we got!!

Delicious burgers and cocktails! In town for a conference and wanted some water views - was happy to end up here. Everyone enjoyed their food and our service was great. There was a wait, but that just meant we got to play on the swings on the lower deck!

What a place!!! Dinner right on the beach is such a great way to unwind. Even though it was raining you couldn't keep the spirit down. Our server, Alexis went above and beyond ensuring our experience was top notch. The special was blackened reddish and was incredible. The portion sizes were huge, and the dish was very fresh and flavorful. Alexis kept the drinks full and the mood light. If you find yourself in the area, stop by... you won't regret it.

This is fun little casual restaurant. They have many locations along the coast. We happen to go to the Biloxi beach location. Please refer to the website for more details on locations and information about it. It is very convenient and easy access to and from highway 90. It has an access road off the main highway. And has great views of beach and Gulf of Mexico/Mississippi sound. Even tho the restaurant is on stilts. They have nice first floor with outdoor dining when the weather permits. They also have a nice second floor indoor dining or outdoor patio dining; with an elevator for ease of access and handicap parking with access ramp. If you don't want to use the elevator. The hostess was quick to acknowledge us and greet us. She quickly sat us down. It was semi-busy for a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. However, I noticed that every location I pass by is very busy on the weekends. So getting a table and might be a wait. It may be a challenge for you. Please be patient with them. They will definitely take great care of you! She quickly pointed out the daily specials that they may have. Subject to change daily. Whether it be great food or something special to drink. They do have a great bar of you are just here for the drinks. (Drink Responsibly). We decided not to take part in the specials. She took our drink order. Also let us know our waiter will be with us shortly. She made sure we got our drinks started while we waited for our friendly waiter. We started out with the towering nachos as an appetizer. We were going to get the chicken. Our waiter said they just now added the pulled pork with a little BBQ sauce on it. The tortilla chips are delicious. Tasted great! They have fresh sliced onions (very little), tomatoes and jalapeños. If you are not into them. They do have a lot. If that is not your fancy. You can just pick them out. It is not spicy at all. Came out with a melted queso sauce for dipping. We had to get the pork. It sounded really tasty. This appetizer is really good and will feed your large party. Unless you are really hungry? Next we started with the cheese burger and fries. It came with a freshly grilled patty on the flat top with fresh melted cheese, thick cut of tomato, red onion, fresh pulled lettuce, and thick pickles. And the captain platter for two. (Offering in fried or grilled) Interesting fact, he said that they do not sever catfish at their restaurants. If it's fried or grilled fish, then it is usually flounder or unless otherwise noted. Even though the crab meat patties are small. The other wonderful things that came along with it made up for it. Larger than normal. Both came with light seasoned fries. Not spicy at all. Both full of flavor! In my opinion. So good, we got full from the appetizer. It was delicious and a lot of food. Washed down with a sweet tea of course. I did not know they offer fresh fruit smoothies. I will have to get that next time I go and let you know. Cool fact, not many restaurants allow for pets. Dog friendly and even offering a limited dog menu. No sit down restaurant I know on the coast offers this? Please let me know if I am mistaken. Only know a cafe that comes to mind... This is a fun yet casual spot. Great for families and pet friendly. If you want a good meal in casual dining experience. This is your restaurant. Military discount provided with valid I.D.

They say to stay away from touristy places for a reason and I'm sad that I didn't listen. They need to change their frying oil because it all tasted exactly the same. Fish was mushy, drinks just ok. Stick to the basics here and it'll be fine, but don't expect anything special.

We really enjoyed the beach balls and country boil. Sooooo good. We sat at the bar and had an amazing experience. We will definitely be back.

Really great experience, but very disappointing server. The hostess was awesome. The person who sat us was awesome. The bar/drink staff were awesome. The people who brought our food were awesome. Our server (Summer) however was really not great. It appeared that she only had three tables, but after taking our food order, she only came back at the very end. We had to get up from the table, to find other workers, when we needed anything. When she did come to give us the bill, the only tip options on the screen were 18% -22%. Took me a minute to find how to change it to 15% (not giving more for terrible service), but it still ended up being a $20 tip for only talking to us twice. All of that said, it was Sunday afternoon and we were sat right away. Great table with a perfect view of the beach. The food was really good too. We'd definitely go back, but we'd ask to not sit in Summer's section.

Cute waterside seagood place! We had a great server (Anna) who was super bubbly and helpful with the menu! We had the beach balls, great kick and queso made it better! Also can never go wrong with feel and eat shrimp! Update: we enjoyed our first visit that we returned a second time! Anna is by far the best server/hostess ans we really enjoyed talking to her. Our meals were just as good, if not better, than our previous visit. Five stars is definitely not enough. Wish I could pack up this whole place and bring it back home with me!

Came here to try oysters but it was all out. Ordered a grilled mixed plate and mahi-mahi taco. Small servings for the price and food was ok. Great service and staff and location is top notch

The food overall was great. The drink of the day was the brunch punch. Absolutely delicious. The scenery on the beach was definitely a relaxing vibe. The waiter was very help and funny. The only complaints i have is the rum punch is nasty and taste like medicine and my hush puppies was old and hard.The price is inexpensive and i highly recommend

The food was really good and amazing especially firecracker shrimp taco I lovvvvvveeeee it!!!!!! Our waiter was amazing and funny and excellent service. Our wait time was not bad even though it was Father's Day so i expected it was going to be packed and the view was amazing and breezy but overall the experience was excellent.

The food was incredible and very affordable. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. It's a perfect spot for families -- very family-friendly and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Great hang out location right in the middle of the beautiful Biloxi beach. I definitely recommend Shaggy's as a stop on your beach walk. Vast array of food options, local beers that regularly change throughout the year, and attentive staff make Shaggy's well worth the stop!
