Overall, this casual dining experience earned 3/5 stars. The food gets a 4, but only because the limited menu offers a burger choice for non-meat-eaters: portabello mushroom, and there's protein variety: turkey, bison, lamb, or beef. You'll want a second patty on your burger order to make the experience more substantial. Expect squishy soft buns. We were not asked for the desired degree of burger doneness (i.e., rare, medium, well-done) when placing the order. Our double order of shoestring fries arrived with an amazing volume in a brown paper bag. We tore off the top half of the bag for easier reach-in. The fries were dry and not very crunchy. Companion ordered a classic beef burger with lettuce and tomato. Reviewer ordered a lamb burger with lettuce, tomato, cooked onions, and Shake's special sauce on the side. The sauce was runny but had a sweetness to complement the lamb and moisten the fries. The cooked onions intended for the lamb were annoyingly served on Companion's beef burger bun. To remedy the irksome mistake, Companion and I traded our burger bun tops. Our burgers were cooked to medium-well-done, and while not juicy, they were not dry. After the meal we each decided to order a lavender adobe shake with whipped cream, because after all, the place is named Shake Foundation. Midway through the shakes we realized they were served without the whipped cream. We had hoped for cool, floral, aromatic creamy shakes. Sadly, they were only vaguely aromatic in the herbal department. They were airy, cloyingly sweet, one-note vanilla flavored. AND. They. Were. Not. Cold. They went down like melted ice-cream. You get a buzzer that vibrates when your order is ready for pickup at the window. There are over a dozen wooden picnic benches to eat upon al fresco so you can hang out with a large group. There are no shade structures or table umbrellas. Off-street parking is a gravel lot with sufficient spots for customers. The Unisex bathroom was clean.
