Nice spot for a patio lunch or dinner with outdoor Lights, large group seating, and a little bit of shade. The burger was good.. I was missing those US burgers! I had the lettuce burger since I'm low carbing and it was fabulous! French fries were typical frozen brands, but I would return for a burger again. Alcohol is available if your keen. It's on the same street as the beautiful yellow trees in the Fall, so extra bonus views then. There was also a corvette line up if fancy cars outside showing off their lights and noises.

Had an amazing experience at Shake Shack Gaien in Tokyo! I ordered two Shack Burgers, and they were perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy, golden, and seasoned just right, adding the perfect touch to an already great meal. The outdoor seating is surrounded by beautiful trees, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for dining. Service was quick and friendly, making the whole experience even better. If you’re craving a delicious burger and fries in Tokyo, Shake Shack Gaien is the place to go! Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Google
Strolling around the area and found Shake Shake, it was packed but some seats still available. The place were clean, this place lives up to the hype! Located in the bustling area of Gaien, this spot offers a fantastic blend of American classics with. The ambiance is lively and welcoming, with a modern and clean design that makes it a great place to hang out with friends or family. The Burger was juicy and flavorful, with fresh lettuce, tomato, and their signature ShackSauce. The patty was cooked to perfection, and the potato bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. I also tried the hot dogs and some crinkle-cut fries, which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—exactly how fries should be! The milkshakes were thick, creamy, and just the right level of sweetness. The quality and unique offerings make it worth the splurge. Service was fast and friendly, even during peak hours. Overall, a fantastic spot for a delicious and satisfying meal in Tokyo. Love, Bunny

Nice, quaint little nook eatery. Beautiful seating area with lots of seats. This is a great spot to grab burgers or milkshakes with friends and sit awhile. Alcohol is available here as well. Heaters outside for the cold of needed. Food came quickly and the service was very friendly.

When it comes to burger, Shake Shack is one of my favorites. You can also take different drinks like coffee, tea, shake and other deserts like ice cream, fries and more. But this branch is unique cause it is located along the Jingu ginkgo avenue where you can see the nice view of the Ginkgo Trees while having your snacks here. Its also good for nice picture taking.

Yelp
Shake Shack lives up to the hype!! I have been craving American food recently and of course no one can travel to the states at the moment. I decided to come here for my American fix. I ordered cheese fries, a root beer float, and the seasonal autumn burger called "Maitake Burger" and it was all amazing. Although I loved everything, the cheese fries were my highlight. I don't know what makes them so good but I am obsessed. I went back just for some lemonade and cheese fries and it was delicious as usual. Keep in mind that it can get really crowded but luckily there is enough space outside if you wanted to enjoy the weather on a good day. I go to Shake Shack every time I go to Yokohama and I could not recommend enough!

Yelp
I am from NJ and we finally have more shake shacks around. This place brings back all the memories eat it. The fries tasted exactly the same. The shroom burger did not disappoint. The whole meal overall was good. Definitely a great place to grab a burger if you're missing it.

Yelp
Came here for another delicious burger. This time I tried the smokehouse burger..... Awesome!!! So moist. What was fun today, was I think I saw the owner today. He was taking photos with the staff. And being the curious person I am, I just looked at what they were doing.

Yelp
[As of February 11] One of my coworkers posted on Facebook that he went to a local Shake Shack. I saw the pictures and I was hooked. I had to go and check out this spot and see how it compares to other burger joints I am a fan of. I decided to take the wife and I to the Shake Shack in Gaien. I was pleasantly surprised when coming up to the eatery. It looked more classy than I expected. Their entryway even caters to persons in wheelchairs. After being immediately greeted by staff, we entered and took our place in line. As you are waiting, you can check out the floor-to-ceiling menu. Even though it was a Sunday and a lot of people were eating, our wait in line was not long at all. It was nice to know that the Japanese staff spoke English while taking our order. It made things much easier. Just as they do at Applebees and select restaurants in the states, we were notified that our food was ready by a restaurant pager! Check out my pics and you see what we had! Two single burgers (double is available), fries with cheese, and coffee milkshake. The fries were nice and crispy. They reminded me of Ore-Ida fries. The burger were put together nicely. It was a bit funny to see that there weren't on normal burger buns. Instead, they seemed to be in sliced open dinner rolls. Still good eating though! Our time here was very nice. A pleasant stroll along the park and a nice meal to end the day. Take some time out your busy schedule to try out Shake Shack. They have a closer eatery in Shinjuku. fin.

Yelp
In search of American comfort food, I couldn't have stumbled upon a better place. This is like finding an endless supply of water when you are lost in the desert. Or finding an oxygen tank as you're drowning. Or finding luxury double ply toilet paper when you think you've run out. Too far? Ok you get the point. Much to my surprise, Shake Shake in Tokyo is just as consistent as it's US counterparts. Service was first class and food came out piping hot! The double shack burger and banana pudding shake definitely hit the spot! A+ 5

Yelp
Since the wait isn't as long as it was when Shake Shack first opened, I decided to come by for a taste of the much missed NYC days. I wasn't very hyped up like the others cause I kinda forgot how the burgers tasted like however, once I took a bite it all came back to me.... Oh, how much have I missed the juicy yumminess of Shake Shack! Hopefully there will be more Shake Shake stores opened where it is more convenient because Gaienmae is pretty far unless you want to sit at a pretty place and take pictures. There is also a Ping Pong table outside, which I thought was really cute.

Yelp
I found out that Shake Shack was opening in Tokyo very soon (2016) a few months ago. And as someone who's lived in NYC before, I decided to check the Shake Shack website to see if it would be open early as a "soft launch". To my surprise, it was indeed open already and happening to be in Tokyo at the time I decided to give this a try. My expectations was that the lineup is of epic proportions (so allow some time for this). The wait time is about 1 hour (during the week) to get to the ordering place. And probably another 30 mins to find a seat (hopefully you don't have a large group needing to be seated). But you still have to wait for the food to be prepared. The quality of the food is on par with what the NYC outlets serve, so understandably the lineup would be long. Pricing is on the USD equivalent to what you would pay in the states (so mid-range. This is a premium fast food place which serves alcohol. Shake Shack has its own beer brew too) I'm sure there would be other branches open soon. If you're time stretched and have tried this before, I'd wait till there's more branches or when the hype dies down. Otherwise, make time.

Yelp
I know. It's a shake shack in japan. I get it. They are the same everywhere. But what is nice about this one is the lovely patio by the park. Totally chill and awesome to sit outside when the weather is nice and just relax. For that (coupled with a menu I like a lot)...5 stars yo...5 stars.

Yelp
Delicious American style dinner. Just like home. Awesome location. Ordered the burger soda and frys. They don't give free refills on soda. Meat was juicy.

Yelp
Burgers are greasy but I think that's what they're trying to do. We split the basic cheeseburger. I'd recommend it. Good draft beers. Great fries. When you're from the US and you've been in Japan for 8 days this place is perfect if you just can't eat any more raw fish.

Yelp
Very nice outdoor picnic-like benches. Lots of young families, casual strollers (no tourists these days) and especially nice environs at Gaien.

Yelp
Shake Shack in Tokyo! I couldn't believe it when I heard it so I had to go check it out. When I got there, I couldn't believe the line. I went there around 2pm and I had to wait about 75 minutes to get in. I chatted with other people and they reported up to two hours wait time during peak hours. There's even a guy who's sole purpose is to direct you to the back of the line. From what I understand, they opened for business a bit earlier than expected so I'm sure the initial hype is drawing the crowds. It's located very near Meiji Jingu Stadium, home of my beloved Yakult Swallows! I can see this becoming a very popular hangout spot and eatery before and after baseball games. If my fellow Las Vegas Yelpers are reading this, it tastes pretty much the same as our locations. And pricing is also about the same (the only significant difference is that you don't tip in Japan). All this being said, I personally won't be waiting this long for this location ever again. I can have the same thing back home for a much shorter wait. But I'm still glad I tried it once. It always fascinates me to see differences across countries with the same franchise.

Yelp
Shake Shack. My brothers and I got in a medium size line and it was 15 minutes till opening. A kind worker gave menus while we waited in the rain. Waited for about 20 minutes when it finally opened then we ordered like crazy. We got the smoke shack burger that includes smoked bacon, cheese, and red peppers. We made it a double patty burger. To our surprise the portions were like US burger sizes and fries as well. *Unexpected since portion sizes are usually smaller in Japan. Overall it was a tasty and juicy burger. Crispy crinkle cut fries. Crispy cheese fries. Shackago dog (Chicago dog) was not bad too but I preferred the juicy burger. The Tokyo frozen custard with black sesame seed was interesting but I prefer regular chocolate and vanilla. The blueberry shake was sweet and tasty. If you're craving a juicy burger that is a pretty decent size. Then check it out and enjoy

Yelp
Very good "Double Shack Burger", "Regular Cheese Fries" and "Small Chocolate Shake" . Requested it medium-rare, received a well-done burger. Given their high prices, they should cook to order (and they claim to be willing to do so on the menu). They should do great business in Japan (until In-N-Out opens here).

Yelp
Finally got to try the infamous shake shack and didn't even need to fly to New York lol only to Tokyo hahaha. It is solid good fast food burgers and shake . Like a ten times better mcD. But is it worth the wait if u already had it no. But I waited hours in line just to try it for the first time and cross it off my bucket list. Do get their shakes tho !! One of the best shakes

Yelp
Fast service, the Dominique ansel dessert that is specific to this store is pretty good. It's very chocolatey. If you need an American style quick dinner, reasonably cost this is it.

Yelp
Love Shake Shack! Hate their lines! The cashiers are super friendly and will give you an English menu if you need it:) We ordered the double shack burger and the shack stack with an order of cheese fries and their shake of the week--blueberry crumble. The shake was delicious and the burgers were on point. This was my first experience with the shack stack and I had a love/hate relationship with it. Loved the oozy cheese coming out of it. Hated the rubbery portobello mushroom inside that made it hard to take bites. This is a fine example of where Yelp needs to allow half stars, because this is a solid 3.5 star restaurant.

Yelp
The line is long.. Waiting time is around 1 & a half to 2 hours.. We ordered Shack Burger and the SmokeShack.. The burger's good.. But a bit pricey.. The fries are crinkly, as expected.. Lol The caramel shake was awesome!! The blueberry crumble shake, which was the shake of the week just tasted like cinnamon.. Will try the other flavors next time..

Yelp
My first shake shack experience is in Tokyo, not the US! Food was great, especially loved the caramel milk shake. Downside is the lineup. I had gone past so many times but couldn't be bothered with the ridiculous queue... Until one friday evening the lineup was only about 15 deep. If you're hungry, don't think that 1 burger will suffice. I normally can't eat too much in one sitting but 1 burger and 1 small shake was not enough.

Yelp
Great burgers I'll give you that, they even taste like America and some of their better joints. But the wait and the price, is too much for small burgers and a taste of home. The lines can really go out the door, and the wait can almost take an hour. Now imagine after waiting for an hour just to order, and getting your order and now waiting for a table to open just to sit and enjoy it, your food will get cold. I have to say, it's not even worth it. With all that time and money I could've went else where for burgers and have gotten bigger better burgers in less time. That being said, if you're a fan of this place go for it, but don't blame me when it takes forever just to get your food. Tip don't come hungry or you will be angry by the time this affair is over. I get it new things are exciting and trending so you should check it out, but it's all hype. Save your time and eat somewhere else if you are starving!!! If not get a good mobile game or talking friends and be prepared to wait. You have been warned. Enjoy

Yelp
We actually walked all the way from Shinjuku station . There is the usual wait time like every other Shack . The burgers are just as good as LA and Brooklyn's. Like all other locations they have special items not available anywhere else such as the Tokyo Burger or the Black Sesame Milkshake . I could've sworn the cheese used on the fries was different but I could be wrong. They also have Tokyo edition merchandise available and a rent-a-bike service to burn off those calories post meal .
