Shakers

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight! We loved everything we had, especially a special they had due to the upcoming holiday, their Thanksgiving Sandwich, as well as a classic cheeseburger. We held the thousand island on the burger and added mustard, and received a beautifully cooked, great size, juicy patty on a fresh tasting bun. The bun wasn’t too dense, overall the ingredients and prep of both sandwiches just worked so well. We were really impressed. Chili had great flavor and seasoning, with nice accompaniments (diced white onion, sour cream, and a little portion of homemade garlic bread). Everything seemed high quality. We sat at the bar and watched many dishes on their way to other diners, and what we saw had us salivating. Will be back! One last thing, the vibe is amazing. If you love a retro diner feel you’ll love this place. It felt very Route 66, if that makes sense.

Had an excellent breakfast in Pasadena at a classic old school California coffee shop called Shakers. Loved my Southern fried steak & eggs. Biscuits & sausage gravy is included and it was a lot of food. Tasty gravy, full of flavor. I was almost able to finish it all. My friend said his Belgian waffle was perfectly cooked, crispy outside and fluffy tender within. If it was only closer I'd be there often.

Zucchini bread is excellent. It comes with my order of Classic Cobb Salad. My husband has ordered Monster Burger. Everything is delicious and we really enjoy our lunch a lot. Thanks to our lovely waitress Sharon!!

Trusty delicious diner! The cornbeef hash is always so good here. The service was excellent. I'm going to miss this place 😔 I hear they are closing for good in 6 months to a year.

Fried zucchini was delicious. And their zucchini bread is awesome! We sat at the bar for a quick in and out, super service.

Came for breakfast with the girls and order waffles and eggs. Very yummy and very basic. I’m a simple gal. enjoy hunting 😊 Coffee is bold and smooth

This is a brunch spot I’ve been visiting occasionally for a very long time—more of a classic American-style diner. It’s a place with deep roots and long-standing tradition, and you can feel its value the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the people who work here have remained consistent over the years. This place is truly a local institution. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing it for yourself. If you’re looking for a place with old-school charm and character, this is absolutely a must-visit. It’s a space filled with memories, and it still lingers in my mind long after each visit. The food has remained just as consistent as the atmosphere—good prices, familiar dishes that haven’t changed over the years, and reliable service. Many of the servers seem to have worked here for a long time; I’ve seen the same faces over the years, and that says a lot. I truly hope places like this continue to exist for many years to come. It’s the kind of restaurant you can always return to feeling comfortable and at ease. And their zucchini bread is absolutely fantastic. Parking is never a concern, as they have a very large parking lot.

First time here for Breakfast/Lunch and I ordered the Shaker Delight Cheeseburger and Tater Tots. I enjoyed the tater tots, better than the burger. The bun fell apart middle of me eating it. My daughter had the blueberry pancake, She enjoyed that that put the blueberries in the pancake, not on top. My wife had to 2 eggs over hard. It was just okay in her opinion.
