Such a cool bookstore similar to the one in Paris. The neighborhood is nice a quiet and the atmosphere in the book store is calming and laid back. Quite a selection of second hand books to purchase as well

I could have stayed here the whole (or half) day. There are lots of English books! The organization of the shelves could be improved (I had a hard time looking for self-help books) but all in all a great bookstore. I love the artsy interior.

I love this book store! It has so many good books, that you can just stay here and look around for hours. There are also a lot of places to sit down to read some pages.
It is a big but still really cozy place! If you like reading books, you should definitely come here!

Good store for books however I thought they’d have a better selection of older vintage books, there was a case of them downstairs however they weren’t for sale. Disappointing.

A dream-come-true for all book lovers, Shakespeare a Synové offers a wide variety of English books that is even more impressive than the Palác knih Luxor (though a bit pricier, which is to be expected for an independent bookstore). Be sure to visit the basement, the cozy space is a good hide-away from the tourists-packed Lesser Town. Grab a book and sit in front of the window, from where the sound of running water (of the Vltava, I presumed) drifts in.
