Shalimar Garden

Its a beautiful place with entry ticket of 30 Rs. Carry cash as there is no provision for UPI. Its a beautiful garden with hills on 3 sides. You get amazing view of Himalayas from the center. We have visited in winter season so mostly the trees are dull and dry. I'm looking forward to visit the place again in summer to see it in full life.

The place was neat and clean. The mountains were very near the shalumar garden. There were multiple shops are available outside the shalimar garden like authentic Kashmiri feran and shawls and other dry fruits. It was a great time.

It is one of the Mughal gardens spread across India and among the most famous ones. This centuries-old garden still welcomes visitors with its beauty and fills the heart with peace. Though it doesn’t seem to be well-maintained nowadays, the place still offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere. It includes beautiful structures that follow symmetrical Mughal architecture. The garden displays a variety of vibrant colours that change with the seasons, making each visit a unique and delightful experience.

This is a beautiful old garden spread over a large area. The park is well-maintained, featuring charming old structures, elegant fountains, and serene water bodies. It’s a perfect place to spend some peaceful time strolling around, taking photographs, or simply relaxing. Ideal for a day out or a picnic with family and friends.

Visited Shalimar Garden in winter and it was absolutely magical. Even without the flowing fountains, the historic architecture and mountain backdrop made it feel serene and timeless. Less crowded this season too, which made the walk even more enjoyable. A must-visit in Srinagar if you love calm, scenic places. ❄️🌿

Shalimar Garden is a beautiful and historic Mughal garden in Srinagar with lovely pathways, fountains, chinar trees, and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a great place for nature lovers and photography. However, during the winter season the garden looks a bit dried and less colorful because many trees shed their leaves and the fountains are not always active. Still, the charm and heritage of the place make it worth visiting. Overall, a pleasant experience and a must-visit spot if you are in Srinagar!

Beautiful. Just like other gardens at Srinagar, this is quite ancient. Established more than 400 years ago. Decent car parking space. Must visit. Acres & acres of open space. It’s a breath of fresh air. No pollution & away from hussle & bustle of crowded cities. Many locals visit here

Entry fee ₹20-50 for adults (free for kids under 5) open 9 AM-5 PM (closed Fridays). Located 12 km from Srinagar center after Nishat Bagh reach here by taxi or shared auto best in spring (April-May) for flowers or autumn for foliage evening light & sound show May-Oct. Paths are paved but sloping restrooms and snacks available crowds peak at afternoons so go early for peace.
