Shalom Backpackers Rishikesh

Shalom has got the best location among all other hostels in the entire Tapovan. Beatles Cafe and TAT, Sambala cafe, all are within less than 30 meters. From the balcony one can get the direct view of the Ganga river. We stayed in their Private Room and the room was neatly maintained, got ample space and 24/7 hot water and electricity. The staff hospitality was excellent. They arranged for us 2 wheller and also rafting. They also arranged bon fire for us and we had bon fire night on top of the Ganga River with excellent view.

I had a wonderful stay at Shalom Backpackers in Rishikesh for 4 days. The place has a very warm and peaceful vibe, and everything was clean and comfortable. The view of the Ganga River from the hotel was absolutely awesome and made the stay even more special. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. A special thanks to the manager, Naveen, who was extremely kind, welcoming, and made me feel at home. Because of him and the team, my stay became even more memorable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Rishikesh and would love to stay here again.

Had a great stay at Shalom Backpackers, Rishikesh. The management was extremely accommodating and made the experience very comfortable. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and the views of the Ganga are honestly the best part. As a woman, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my stay. Great location and view of Gangas river. Bed is comfortable, bathroom can be a bit cleaner. They have a cafe inside lots of food options though I didn’t have the opportunity to try, they sometimes have live music and was nice to hang around the cafe. The staff is helpful and friendly, came with a concern and it was handled professionally and made sure it was resolved straight away. Thank you Surinder for the warm and friendly hospitality and the staff for making me feel comfortable in the hostel.

We booked Shalom Backpackers, Rishikesh for one day and had a really wonderful experience. The stay was very comfortable and the service was excellent. We also had breakfast for one day, which included gobhi paratha, mix veg paratha, and sandwiches. The food was very tasty and fresh, and we really enjoyed it. Special thanks to Naveen Singh Rana and Abhishek Bangwal at the reception. They were very polite, helpful, and welcoming. Their behavior was extremely professional and friendly, which made our stay even more pleasant. Highly recommended place to stay in Rishikesh!

I stayed at Shalom, and both the dorm and the cafe were absolutely amazing. The view from the cafe was so mesmerizing — it literally made me cancel my plan to leave and stay longer! The host, Gaurav, was super sweet, understanding and genuinely warm. The rest of the staff was also very kind and helpful. And the best part? At Shalom, I met strangers who have now become my best friends. Truly an unforgettable experience!

The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious — perfect for a relaxed stay. The location is excellent, close to all the key spots yet peaceful enough to unwind. A special mention to Gaurav, who truly made our trip unforgettable. He went out of his way to help us explore Rishikesh like a local, they arranging everything from rafting and bungee jumping to other adventure activities seamlessly at great prices. We also met some wonderful travelers here and made amazing memories. Their cafe also had very tasty food. Big thanks to Surinder as well, who ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
