Shambaling Boutique Hotel

This is my first time in Nepal. Besides the mountains, I've spent a fair amount of time in Kathmandu, and Shambaling is my third hotel. I spent a long time choosing it because it was close to Boudhanath Stupa, had an authentic feel, and had a good rating. The hotel is nice, not very modern, but has good service, delicious breakfasts, and a good restaurant. I was very pleased! I asked for help with taxis several times, and they were quick to help. The staff is attentive, always asking how you're doing, how you're feeling, and even how you slept. The room was free of insects and mold, which was the case in the other two hotels. I recommend it!

Best Hotel in Kathmandu..and I’ve been in many. A little gem…calm, peaceful, spotless, beautifully decorated and extremely helpfull and friendly staff. This will be my new home from now on when I visit beautiful Nepal.

Our trip to Nepal both started and ended with this hotel. Looking back at all the accommodations during our journey, it was by far the best hotel in Nepal in my opinion. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and helpful both during the day and at night, with any questions or wishes we had.|The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The restaurant was delicious, the food was freshly prepared, served quickly, and nicely presented.|Everything had a very warm and family-like atmosphere including a garden, a terrace, and several seating and lounging areas.|I am extremely satisfied and would 100% recommend this hotel to everyone and would always come back.

What an wonderful experience at Shambaling. Great location and the hotel food and rooms were both excellent. More than anything the staff were all so amazing. We will be back. Namaste 🙏

It's a very nice boutique hotel near Budha Stupa in Kathmandu Nepal. It's suitable for every person. Thanks to the management & staff for running the hotel professionally.

Shambaling Boutique Hotel is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in a long time. Friendly staff. A real haven. Gelbu Sherpa is great job.
