We were underwhelmed by this place, it has a stellar reputation,
We were expecting the food to be a bit better. The portions, though, as advertised were gigantic and enough to feed a single person for three days. If you’re only trying to eat for one person, recommend just getting one entrée and splitting it between two people. The roasted eggplant appetizer was good and very garlic. The Koobideh was good, well seasoned, and decent portion. The veal heel was a disappointment. We had really hoped that it would come out luscious and tender and falling apart. It was decently tough, and did not have enough sauce in the side plate to make up for this. Also, the chicken leg had been over braised. It had the opposite problem where it tasted like the meat was almost a bit mushy given how long it presumably had sat in the braising liquid. The chicken breast skewer was slightly overcooked, and not as bouncy as we hoped. All in all, a solid spot, but nothing Incredibles to write home about. They also do not take reservations and we had to wait half an hour for a table.
