I visited the restaurant at this hotel near Dal Lake Gate No. 2 and had a delightful experience. The food was tasty, with a variety of options, especially for vegetarians. The ambience was pleasant, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. If you’re in the area, this restaurant is worth trying for its good food, cozy atmosphere, and convenient location.

Had a great time at **Shamyana**! The place has such a calm and decent vibe, perfect for enjoying a nice meal. 🕯️✨ The food was just amazing—everything we ordered tasted so good. Honestly, the **chicken chowmein** stole the show for me, it was packed with flavor! 🍜🤩 What made it even better was the super-friendly staff. They made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. 🫶 Definitely planning to go back soon! If you're looking for good food and a nice, cozy atmosphere, this is the spot! 🍽️❤️

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this place and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance and decor caught our attention. The dim lighting, comfortable seating, and elegant decor created a warm and inviting. The food was outstanding! We ordered the Kashmiri pulao, rogan josh,chicken curry ,lassi and butter naan each dish was expertly prepared and presented. The flavors were bold, the portions were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. The service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The prices were bit high, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. We felt that we received excellent value for our money.Overall, our experience was exceptional.

This place is amazing for dinner and lunch! The food quality and taste is top tier, especially for non-vegetarian food. Highly recommend trying out the Rogan Josh. Overall a good experience.

I recently visited Shamyana Lodge & Restaurant for dinner and overall had an average experience. The location is convenient, making it easy to find, but the ambiance could use some improvement. The tables are tightly packed, which makes the space feel cramped, and it can be a bit uncomfortable when people walk by. As for the food, I ordered butter chicken, which was absolutely fantastic. The richness of the dish was perfectly complemented by the hot, soft butter naan. However, the mutton keema was a bit of a letdown. It lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for, making it feel somewhat bland compared to the other dish. In conclusion, Shamyana Lodge and Restaurant is a decent place to dine if you're in the area, but it’s not necessarily a standout. The butter chicken is definitely a highlight, but other dishes might not meet the same standard.

Shamyana is undoubtedly one of my absolute favourite spots in Srinagar. Every trip to Kashmir feels incomplete without a visit to this iconic restaurant. My love affair with Shamyana began in 2013, and it has only grown stronger with each passing year. The quality of food here is consistently exceptional. Some of the must-tries include the delectable Tabak Maaz, the flavorful Rishta (meatball with red gravy), the Rogan Josh, and the Pulao. I've heard incredible things about their grilled trout and am eager to try it next time. The location, right by the Dal Lake, is simply stunning. The service is also top-notch, with all the staff members being incredibly courteous and helpful. I've also had the pleasure of staying at the hotel once. While the lack of an elevator might be a concern for some, the overall experience was quite decent considering the price and the unbeatable location. Highly recommended!

I recently visited Shamyana and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The mutton tikka I ordered was incredibly disappointing. The meat was tough, clearly not fresh, and lacked the expected flavor. I had difficulty eating it, and to make matters worse, I fell sick shortly after the meal. The poor quality of the food raises serious concerns about hygiene and freshness, especially for dishes like mutton. I would advise anyone considering this place to think twice, as I certainly will not be returning.
