Shan Yoe Yar is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Shan cuisine in an elegant and cozy setting. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful two-story building with a spacious compound, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating that enhances the dining experience. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious Shan-style dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything is well-prepared, flavorful, and true to traditional tastes. They also serve Shan wine, which is a great complement to the meal. The service is outstanding—staff members are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. On top of all this, the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Shan cuisine in a welcoming environment!

A good local Burmish food. Very traditional and clean. Service was good so was the food. A little pricey if you compare to others in Yangon, but you should try. Many local dishes to offer. Located near the big pagoda, so it’s a great place for lunch after your pagoda visit.

A really great place. Serve shan cuisine. The interior is decorated neat and tidy. The food are top notch and has no complaint about that. It's a great place to invite someone to impress them, tho it'll be a bit costly.

I am not a tofu and fish person but I totally love the tofu “curd” and fish dish. I also finished the Myanmar milk tea! I was asked which dish do I like, and I couldn’t give an answer because I like all of them! It is interesting that there is a gong in the room we are in which we will hit it to get the attention of the server. Must visit when you are in Yangon. Yummy!

This restaurant gives you a home ambiance of colonial houses with traditional food. The service is superb! Waiters are very attentive to your orders and needs. Food is delish too. Ordered soft shell crabs, crispy pork belly and to our surprise the have a fluffy egg deep fried then sliced up to open like a lotus flower then sauteed seafood was poured in. A must when you go to Yangon.

We have been there for lunch craving for Shan dishes. But, the taste of most of the dishes was sweet even shan sour pork rice (ဝက်သချဉ်). It'd be a bit better if they can reduce adding sweeteners to dishes. Fried rice with Fermented soybean (ပဲပုတ်ထမင်းကြော်) was quite different from what we hoped for (better if they pounded the fermented soybean... the one we had was not well mixed with rice and didn't have a taste it should be). We liked bamboo shoots stuffed with seafood and fried pounded black sticky rice cake. Some dishes are expensive (Spinach salad cost 5000 mmk).

We are from Singapore and the food doesn’t really suit our appetite. The papaya salad tasted very raw and it was too spicy. The bamboo shoot was the worst for us as it smelt really fishy, very unique taste that we are unable to appreciate. The veg and fried fish was good. Definitely overordered for 4 pax but wasn’t told by staffs. The good thing is the dishes are huge!
