The food was good overall. The bread really stood out, and both the falafel and onglet were solid and well executed. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal.
That said, the seating was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I’ve had. I get that they’re going for a specific aesthetic, but it just doesn’t work in practice. After about 1.5 hours, which is already shorter than a proper dinner, my back and glutes were genuinely uncomfortable. It took away from the experience more than I expected.
I’d recommend Shana if you’re specifically looking for a Middle Eastern–inspired, sharing-plates vibe in Paris. Just be aware that portions run on the smaller side, and between that and the seating, the value for money isn’t quite there.
