"Liuli China Museum Luili is an ancient Chinese word for 'glass art'. Showcasing over 250 glass pieces from the Warring States through the Qing Dynasty, history is present in this collection of crystal. But this isn't just about an old art form, contemporary glass art is represented as well, not least of which is the signature collection for co-founders Loretta Hui-shan Yang. Often overlooked, but well worth a visit. Hours: 10:00-17:00, Closed on Mondays Tickets: 20 RMB for adults, free for kids By AFAR Traveler , AFAR Local Expert"

The museum is a beacon of contemporary glass art amidst of the historical charm of the Tianzifang arts and crafts enclave since it is located in the neigbourhood and near to the French Concession Area. This museum is not just a visual spectacle but is also a profound exploration into the depth and diversity of the Liuli arts and crafts, marking itself as Asia's first museum dedicated entirely to this art form. Many of the displays are nice and unique, in various colours and stand out! If you are into liuli or glass related arts and crafts, this place will be a must visit for you.

Founded by liuli artists Loretta H. Yang and Chang Yi, LIULI CHINA MUSEUM is Asia’s first all-encompassing liuli art museum. It is a unique visual arts retreat, a facility for research and knowledge and a sensory habitat that embraces the beauty of liuli art. The peony flower sculpted from delicate metal wires looks fashionably modern but maintains the taste of its traditional elements at the same time. Under the element of light, the peony petals bloom delicately as the metal wires intercepts seamlessly. This work of art showcases visual attractiveness and sets one into thinking, combining our environment with art.

Good value if you're into glass art. It's really easy to get to via public transportation. Check before hand what exhibits they have. Right now they have an exhibit with more modern glass pieces.
