Shangri-La Al Husn, Muscat

I’m writing this review a couple of months late, but after some disappointing stays at other hotels, I had to come back and write this because it made me realise just how exceptional Shangri-La Al Husn truly is. I honestly compare every hotel to this one, and so far, nothing has come close—let alone beaten it. The staff were absolutely outstanding. Their attention to detail and ability to anticipate our needs without us having to ask was incredible. The level of service was next-level, from the flawless room service to the genuine warmth, respect, and care shown by every single staff member. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel valued and looked after at all times. The hygiene standards were impeccable, and the rooms always smelled fresh and immaculate. No request ever felt like too much trouble, and the staff always did their absolute best to accommodate everything. The entire stay was unbelievably peaceful, relaxing, and luxurious. I cannot praise this hotel enough and am already looking forward to returning in the future. A truly unforgettable experience! Thank you so much for everything

I stayed at Shangri-La Al Husn for 6 days and 5 nights, and the experience was truly exceptional. As an adults-only resort, it offers a very peaceful, quiet and private atmosphere, which I absolutely loved. The service and facilities were outstanding throughout my stay. The resort has a beautiful private beach and pool, making it easy to relax without any crowds. The area feels very secluded and serene, perfect for a restful getaway. Breakfast was a highlight each morning — the breakfast service was excellent, with a good variety of high-quality options and attentive staff who made every meal enjoyable. One of the best features is the privacy of the resort, while still having the convenience of access to the neighbouring Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah hotels. This gave me more dining and leisure options without compromising the calm and exclusive feel of Al Husn. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and professional, always going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their warmth truly enhanced the overall experience. Overall, Shangri-La Al Husn is a perfect choice for couples or adults seeking a luxurious, quiet and private retreat with exceptional service. I would happily return and highly recommend it.

An exceptional experience by all means! If you are looking for mental tranquility and peace, this resort is the perfect destination. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, allowing you to recharge thanks to the stunning views and beautiful weather. For families, this resort is a paradise for kids; the safe play areas and engaging activities kept my children thrilled, giving us adults the chance to truly unwind and enjoy the quietness. I highly recommend it to any family seeking luxury and comfort together

It was the perfect getaway to unwind and take a break from work. Shangri-La will always hold a special place in my heart for providing the comfort and relaxation I truly needed. A big thanks to Anne for being very approachable and flexible with all my requests from prior my arrival and throughout my stay. Her attentiveness made my experience seamless and enjoyable. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Mostafa, whom I met during check-out and checked my entire experience. He listened carefully to my feedback and took immediate action which I truly value. Thank you once again for the warm hospitality as always.

This year was our fourth visit to Al Husn. We enjoyed the fine weather and excellent snorkelling off the beach, but the general experience was not up to the standard of previous years. Perhaps this is because Shangri-La is making way for Hilton, so we gained the impression that management have made significant economies in a number of areas. The result is a dulling of the warm, contented feeling that drew us back after past visits. What was once a unique hotel experience is now just rather good.

Rooms are big and impeccably clean. Mini bar is always full and replenished daily; you can drink and eat everything in the mini bar. The room we got has an excellent view of the sea. There's so many restaurants to choose from, as there are three main properties located next to each other. Food is excellent, including the breakfast spread. There's really nothing to complain about, in my opinion.

Brilliant hotel, great breakfasts, great outside spaces and your own private beach. Lovely pool. Some of the catering to the outside restaurants did not match are experience with those that were contained in the hotel. Beware of noisy Indian Weddings. One occurred during our stay . Noise very loud and didn't stop till 10pm. It affected the premium rooms fronting onto the sea/ beach. For this reason hotel rated as only four stars. In January 2026 resort is to be sold to Hilton Hotels and will be renamed Waldorf Astoria

3- th wonderfull stay within 2 years time. Staff is so helpfull: beach and restaurant crew especially.We loved the tea time and the drinks at 18 pm. Thanks to Mr.Nagy,Mrs.Ria and Mrs.Anne and not to forget Ismail for the streching class.
