Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Muscat

Overall the experience was great. The staffs are very polite and friendly. Literally from the hotel and poolside. They always greet me all the time which is a big positive for the guests. The room was very cozy and spacious too. The view from the balcony was outstanding. One thing I really love was the pool and the lazy river. It was very relaxing and it gave me a peace of mind. I will definitely comeback.

Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! The staff went above and beyond to make our experience seamless and memorable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout our stay, everything was handled with care. The breakfast was delicious, the lazy pool was clean, and every detail exceeded our expectations. Enjoyed a Wonderfully pleasant stay at Shangri la Al Waha. A cheerful applause to the staff and their services. At the reception, we were greeted by the smiling and friendly welcome by Amaal. At Samba restaurant, J.Deepal was cordially enquiring about the stay and how he could help us to make it even better. The cleaning staff (Gourav ) did their job really well and were helpful. The whole team(including. Valet, concierge, restaurant,poolside) is superb.

I had a wonderful stay at the Bar Al-Jissa Shangri-La Al-Bandar Hotel in Muscat. The rooms were spotless, the pool and lazy river were absolutely fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. A special thanks to Mu’taz Ali for his attentiveness and thoughtfulness, which truly made my experience outstanding. Also, heartfelt thanks to Shintia and Anissa for their kindness and warm welcome. Their hospitality made my stay unforgettable.

What an incredibly beautiful resort with fantastic staff who are so welcoming and so kind .||We were hugely impressed as soon as we arrived at the Al Waha which is mainly for families . ||You will be overwhelmed with the incredible scenery, it’s just beautiful.||The food is lovely , we ate mainly at the buffet and we had breakfast ,lunch and dinner there. The choice is brilliant , breakfast is a feast . Lunch and dinner would be completely different, the Indian food was some of the best we’ve had.||The lazy river is so lovely and you can spend an hour every day there . The spa and gym are wonderful and the staff so welcoming and they are always smiling .||And for us , the staff are the best you will ever come across.||The front office manager Yoniko was brilliant . She was so kind and always had time for a lovely chat. She’s a huge asset for the Shangri La . ||I have to say a big thank you to all of the staff from those working in the lobby to the pool bar , gym, spa, buffet restaurant and the staff in housekeeping . You are all absolutely brilliant.||Special mention to the following Parul, Marybel, chefs Hassan Mansour and Freddy, Thaw, Cristel,the incredible managers Ali Mohammad Ali Al Khalil and Dev Khatwani, Abhishek, Sheila and Ram, Priyo and AJ in housekeeping . Huda,Rasha and Samia in the gym are wonderful.||A huge thank you to Karooh who works in the incredible classic car museum which is based in the resort .||There’s absolutely no doubt that we will return to the Shangri La Muscat, it’s one of the best .||Well done .

The amenities were top-notch, with an amazing pool area that was perfect for a day of lounging and soaking up the sun. The views from the hotel were breathtaking, and the fact that it's close to the beach was the icing on the cake. Even if you just have a day access to the pool, I highly recommend taking advantage of it. The pool area is perfect for a relaxing day out, and the amenities are fantastic. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Muscat. It's a great place to unwind, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Oman. You can have it all in one - stunning views, amazing amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere.

The landscape architecture is unreal. Truly an oasis by the beach with mountains behind you. A unique and one of a kind property. I had a good time here with my spouse and our infant. The review accounts for our poor dining experience. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or even in room dining, were priced high but tasted absolutely terrible (besides breakfast coffee and juices which were good). This is important to note as you DO NOT have ANY other choices for food within walking distance. As per any resort style dining the cost reflects the property and is above the average rate for a meal in this country. The real issue that gave us a terrible dining experience was the food was simply bland. All you can eat breakfast were not enjoyable, a la carts restaurants boasted well known ingredients but could not deliver. I was very upset with this as the pricing made me assume the food would be delicious. (I tried each a la cart restaurant except one). That said I hope they can fix this. I would definitely consider visiting again in the future. Other things to know about this property include convenient (and a good range) water sport rentals. Boats, kayaks, jet skis etc. A decent gym with classes. Concierge and room cleaning services were above and beyond. again, this was a great resort, but poor dining with nearly no other options made it difficult to enjoy.

Wonderful experience at Shangri-La Muscat with beautiful views and outstanding service. Excellent service rom the moment we arrived until the time we left, truly a seemless hospitality. Breakfast was good, but a bit more variety in the hot section would really elevate the offering for the value.
