Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing

Stay couple times at the hotel. Very warm welcome from the staff since arrival. Room was spacious and clean although a bit old furniture. Breakfast buffet spread was great a lot of choices and egg tart is not to be missed. Huge thanks to staff name Daisy Wong who helped me to secure the booking even the it was fully booked. And special thanks to all the staff at the concierge who helped me with my parcel. Will recommend others to stay at this hotel due to their great hospitality.

I had such a great stay at Shangri-La Beijing and honestly can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment I arrived, every staff member I met was kind, polite and genuinely attentive. They really made me feel welcome and taken care of throughout my stay.||I stayed in the Circle Tower, which is the newer and more exclusive part of the hotel. My room was large, beautifully decorated and very peaceful, with access to the executive lounge. It was the perfect place to unwind, have a drink or enjoy some snacks during the day.||A real highlight was dinner at Shang Palace, the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant. The set menu was amazing, and every dish tasted fresh and full of flavour. The service there was also excellent, just like everywhere else in the hotel.||Overall, it was a lovely experience, combining comfort, great hospitality and a touch of elegance. I left with wonderful memories of Beijing and would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel itself was lovely if a bit dated! Staff were nice and helpful. Unfortunately the room smelt strongly of cigarettes even though it was meant to be non smoking! Internet was a problem as we couldn’t connect often and it is absolutely necessary in Beijing. Breakfast was great huge buffet choice.

Shangri-La hotel location is super convenient. Beijing one is located in zone2 which near to most of the nice attractions. There is an mrt 萬壽寺station just a walking distance away. Having good facilities and relaxing environment. Its executive suite is spacious comes with private lounge for breakfast and drinking sessions from 5pm daily. All staffs are friendly and happy faces which you feel warmth and welcome making you feel happy and relax everyday.

Great stay at Shangri-La Beijing. The location was convenient, only an 8-minute walk from the subway. I enjoyed the garden, and the nearby lake was interesting to see, especially with locals swimming in it. Thanks as well for the birthday cake, it made the stay extra special!

- Location is somewhat remote. A car is always needed to get to a mall or something. - Nice, classical room, but mold in the shower silicon. Clean, but mold in showers. Air condition too noisy to get sleep - needs to be switched off. One night cigarette smoke entered from a surrounding room through the air condition system. - Food at lobby lounge lacks taste and is overpriced. - Pool is spacious, well maintained and guarded. Mostly visited by locals. Special lanes for sport swimmers. - Gym spa is full of local members who leave their garbage and towels everywhere. Whirlpool lacks of hygiene. Showers moldy. Some people use their phones and spit on the floor. - English language skills of the personnel quite limited. Tiring to communicate for a foreigner. - At the executive lounge some guests wear flippers and a kind of sportswear, watch movies without headset and carry food away in their pockets. - Overall not the expected experience for a five stars hotel.

Lovely, lovely hotel. The rooms are large and spacious. We had two inter connecting rooms Ona high floor and we felt like we were in an apartment.||The buffet breakfasts are brilliant. Plenty of choices and the food is great. Separately, a special mention to the Shang Palace. We had dinner there on our first night and the food was fantastic.||The Lounge has live music- Wednesday to Saturday. The lady playing the piano on our first evening- 4 July was amazing. My wife and I sat with our drinks and listened to her hoping the music would not end.||Service at the hotel is great. Special thanks to Faye at the check in who helped with the currency change. Freddy at the Shang Palace who was super helpful in getting my points added even after I lost the receipt and Marianne who was our server at the Shang Palace. There were several others too, I did not note the names. ||Thanks Shangri La Beijing. We hope to be back one day.

Hospitality to the highest standard. Lovely good varieties of food selections. Spacious and comfortable suite, well-equipped and decorated beautifully to the finest details. Polite, efficient and courteous staffs ready to assist at all time. ||
