I cannot praise this hotel enough. We were upgraded to a suite with a beach and sea view to die for. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were all pleasant and attentive, going the extra mile to fulfil our requests. It is set in an idyllic location and is quieter than other parts of the island, which suited us well. The food was very good and the live cooking areas catered for individual tastes. The only problem for me is I am now half a stone heavier than when I arrived.

We have been coming here for over 20years. It’s paradise. The staff are all wonderful including Jean-Marc who greated us in reception, Anisha and Deepmala who looked after our rooms, all the boat club crew including Adriana and Julian, the beach guys on their electric bikes, the sales chap whom has twins like us, Sadah who very quickly changed our initial rooms on our request to the perfect location and all the restaurant chefs (very obliging with gluten free requests for pasta!) and lastly the TSK waiters.|Every member of staff gets 5 stars from us. Always friendly and obliging. |Merry Christmas everyone and hope you all have a Happy New Year.|We are sad to be going today but will be back for sure.

We have recently returned from an 11 day stay at this hotel. It was quite simply a delight!||The ‘wow’ bits were as follows:||- location: blue seas and white sands with plenty of space to relax. Plenty of wildlife within the hotel perimeter but you don’t need to travel far (by boat) to see even more (dolphins, monkeys and best of all giant turtles). The hotel’s private island has some amazing beaches and vistas. ||- facilities: gym was excellent and never that busy, the adult pool was beautifully designed, the boat house offered lots of options (sailing, paddle boarding, kayaks, snorkelling).||- service: without exception, all the staff were friendly and helpful and when we encountered a few challenges the response was excellent. This is a very well run hotel.||A particular shout out for Natasha on the Sports team who was my guide on an eco kayak tour through the mangroves, which I would highly recommend. Also loved the tennis coach!||The food was ‘great’ - lots of choice, with four restaurants for dinner. All different. The Japanese restaurant is on a par for quality with what we can get in London but a limited range of dishes. The beachside restaurant has a lovely ambience and serves some excellent fresh fish. I am not a fan of Indian food, so opted for the plain dishes but my wife was highly impressed. The generic restaurant, TSK, offers a fabulous buffet menu with oodles of choice, where the fresh fruit is simply divine.||Overall, I can’t wait to go back, which says it all!

My stay at this resort was one of the best experiences ever. The place is amazing and never feels boring. The room views are stunning, and the facilities are beautiful and very clean. The staff is extremely friendly, making you feel welcome at every moment. The level of cleanliness was excellent, and the food was incredibly delicious, thanks to the creativity of Chef Ahmed. Thank you for this wonderful experience.I will definitely be back soon.

We have just returned from a 3 week stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok. This was our 14th visit to Mauritius and we have stayed in many hotels. However this has to be Simply the Best.|However there is nothing simple about this resort. This is a multi faceted well managed organisation delivering a seamless relaxed calm high standard of service for its guests.|We had a warm welcome from Clarel and Jean Marc.|Clarel gave us a good introduction to hotel main features and also prepared our restaurant bookings for our stay which was much appreciated.|Jean Marc provided a friendly helpful and cheerful welcome presence in the reception area.| We were upgraded to a Frangipani room with good views of the beach. We had a high standard room service provided by Kevin, Shubhan, Wendel and their team colleagues.|We enjoyed Coco's restaurant for Breakfast and Evening. Martine, Kush, Potten , and team provided an efficient and relaxing service. It was difficult to leave each morning. Dylan in the evening was aways likewise and very pleasant and helpful.|The Japanese restaurant Kushi was excellent. Harry the chef was always visible and keen to interact with guests. He and his team produced incredible beautiful sushi.|The Indian menu and ambiance at Safran was another enjoyable experience where you could watch chefs at work. |TSK provided a varied buffet menu. Difficult to resist the dessert selections|The Christmas buffet at TSK was extensive and very enjoyable.| Four aux Chaux , provided in a garden area , was a chance to experience Mauritian dishes and a tribute to Mauritian culture. Sega music and dancing added to the experience. |We enjoyed the island visits. The boat service was regular and staff always courteous and safety conscious.|The private island llot Mangenie just 10mins away was so peaceful and relaxing. The service by Juahan and colleagues was very friendly and efficient . Water and towels provided. The golf course at Ile aux Cerfs provided excellent facilities and also the beach was memorable.|Entertainment was a good mix during our stay. We enjoyed the sunset music from Cocos during golden hour.|We had a Memorable holiday . Most of all we will remember the friendliness of staff and service they provided . Thanks to all the staff. After years of hearing that the Shangri La Le Touserouk is the best 5 star hotel in Mauritius; we decided to give it a try.||Set on a beautiful private beach; The rooms look like an old renovated 4star rooms with a slight modern touch of decor.||The bathrooms need an upgrade, with old bathtubs with yellowing scuffs, some mold and damp cracks appearing!||Sound proofing in the rooms is non existent; at night you hear the noise from the live music, as well as people walking up and down the corridor, with all the doors closed!!||On The food side the breakfast buffet is great, but that’s where it ends… the kids food at lunches are disappointing, the burger tasting like it spent too much time in the freezer! ||The Indian restaurant will leave you disappointed, especially when compared to other Indian restaurants on the island!! ||The Japanese restaurant was good, (but again had better at other hotels) but a beautiful setting||The buffet for dinner is decent, but with the exception of the desert section (which is excellent), there is plenty room for improvement when it comes to the main options! ||The service by some staff like Iqbal and few of the staff from Buffet, beach and concierge are amazing. The rest don't even care to greet you; but the overall service and warmth we’ve come to expect from the Mauritian hotels, seems to be lacking!! ||Overall a disappointing stay , but maybe the legend that was Le touserouk, is past its prime

We spent a wonderful week at the Touessrok. The location is pristine, a large property where you don’t feel too much congestion. The service is very professional and attentive, starting with Gregory Coquet the GM and Frederic Chelin his deputy who were helpful, available and open to feedback. The one area of improvement is the bar service in general, but I know the leadership is aware of the opportunity and is already working on it.
