Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius

Our Honeymoon stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok was amazing. From the moment we arrived, our expectations were exceeded.||||The resort is surrounded by four private beaches with the most incredible views. We watched the sunrise each morning from the comfort of our suite bed or balcony. ||||The service was impeccable — staff were so warm and friendly, and they really went out of their way to get to know us. Special mention to Sada our Host, Kevin and Nowbuth in Housekeeping, Soobi our driver on arrival, Juan on the Private Island, Jean Marc the Lobby Host, the lovely Habiba at the Bar, and, Dianne at Breakfast. We wrote their names down over the course of our stay as they took extra time and care to get to know us, and they made our stay extra special.||||Dining was another highlight on the resort. Safran was the best restaurant for us, so good we visited twice - food, staff and chef were amazing, with the chef coming to our table and preparing a bespoke menu for us as we were celebrating a special occasion. Coco's was our next favourite, which we visited daily for 'Golden Hour' drinks on the beach or had breakfast/dinner. The breakfast buffet was also very impressive, with a wider variety of options. Lastly, the private island experience was fantastic.||||The pools and beaches are brilliant, and given the resort is so spread out it feels quiet and relaxing everywhere - (bearing in mind we visited during May, which seemed to be mostly couples). The gym is great too and don't forget to visit the turtles!||||We can't thank Shangri-La Le Touessrok enough - you gave us the most incredible honeymoon and memories to cherish. Our festive stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok was memorable, with a fantastic welcome by the ever-energetic Jean Marc, who truly stood out among the staff and embodied the hotel’s spirit. The room was impeccable. Facilities were excellent, and staff generally helpful. We particularly enjoyed the boat trip to Ilot Mangénie. The buffet, while satisfactory, lacked the exceptional touch one might expect from a resort of this calibre. While the recent renovations have refreshed the property, it felt as though some aspects still required refinement. As a 5-star-plus resort, we anticipated a more personalized service experience and elevated dining from one of the island’s most highly rated hotels.. Nonetheless, it was a memorable and enjoyable stay, with moments of excellence that hint at the full potential of the Shangri-La name.

We had a wonderful stay overall, and several team members truly stood out for their exceptional service. Mr. Sada at reception was very friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. Chef Luca personally came to take notes regarding my babies’ food requirements, which I deeply appreciated. Chef Ahmad was extremely helpful during both breakfast and dinner, and Mrs. Nicole at breakfast was warm and welcoming every morning. Jean-marc also showed outstanding hospitality and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. There is, however, room for improvement in two areas: Unfortunately, housekeeping fell short of expectations. Toiletries were often not replenished, and we had to request them daily. It was also surprising to find that opened toiletries were left as-is without being cleaned or arranged, and housekeeping seldom arrived on time. Similarly, the service from the restaurant waitresses could be improved. They were generally slow and not very attentive, which stood in contrast to the otherwise excellent service we received throughout the hotel. Despite these issues, the overall experience was outstanding thanks to the incredible staff mentioned above, and we truly appreciated their care and attention.

Our stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius (2025) was truly beyond exceptional — heartfelt, personal, and deeply memorable. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the entire team made us feel instantly at home. One person who truly stood out was Stacy from the Host Team. Her care, energy, and dedication were unmatched. She went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were comfortable and happy, often anticipating our needs before we even asked. Her presence genuinely made our stay special, and she deserves all the recognition for her outstanding service. The concierge team was also amazing, offering excellent recommendations and taking care of all our bookings and activities with efficiency and grace. The dedicated WhatsApp service was incredibly convenient — fast, responsive, and always handled with a personal touch. Every request, from spa bookings to small daily needs, was managed flawlessly. Our room was spacious, serene, and beautifully maintained — the perfect escape in paradise. The beach team made every activity fun and easy, and the culinary experience, especially at TSK, was filled with warmth, flavor, and care. Shangri-La Mauritius is more than a resort — it’s a place where people truly care. Every staff member left a positive impression, and we’re so thankful for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to return.

A Truly Fantastic Stay – Even Better the Second Time!||||This was our second visit to Shangri-La Le Touessrok (our first was in 2018), and somehow, it managed to exceed our already high expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. We stayed in rooms 114 and 342, and the setting, service, and hospitality were exceptional throughout.||||Days on the beach were unforgettable thanks to Yash and the boathouse team, who made every water activity safe and fun. Aldo’s morning boat rides became a daily highlight. On Ilot Mangénie, Jauhan’s warm welcome made our time extra special.||||The food was outstanding across all restaurants. Breakfast at TSK was a daily joy, with special thanks to Pella, Anna, Sharda, Shaloo, Dianne, Babita, and Nicole. Dinners were delicious too—Chef Ahmed’s meals at TSK and the fantastic sushi team at the Japanese restaurant (Harsh, Ashish, Dario, and Priyanka) truly impressed. Ronald at Cocos was also a standout with his warm island hospitality.||||The front desk team, led by the ever-positive Nabila, and Dipak at the entrance, made us feel welcome every day. Housekeeping was flawless—thank you to Kavita and the whole team for looking after our rooms with such care.||||We used the hotel taxi service for all our trips—Sam, Mike, and Neelesh were friendly, professional, and made exploring Mauritius a breeze.||||It was also a pleasure meeting Fredrick (GM) and Gregory—leaders who genuinely connect with guests.||||Shangri-La Le Touessrok is a slice of paradise that feels like home. We already can’t wait to return!

Beautiful resort with stunning views and spacious, well-maintained rooms. The service was friendly and professional, and the variety of dining options was impressive. Some minor issues with room cleanliness and delays in service at peak times, but overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend for couples or families looking for a luxury getaway.

Best resort in mauritius, clean rooms, with nice and cooperative staff. Its the best place if you have kids also , as they have big pool to kids with club that is big and with nice staff. We were greeted by Jessica , and she is the best person in mauritius , she was very cooperative and helping all the time. She upgraded our rooms to suite!!! Upon checkout which is 12 pm , our flight was at 10 pm night , so she gave us the room for late night for free !!! I would really advice to book shangri-La and i will come again for sure.

Wonderful relaxing holiday (where we honeymooned 35 years ago). Peaceful, beautiful hotel with all the facilities you need at your fingertips, private beaches, large pools, four resort restaurants (another on the private island) serving top quality food and large spacious rooms many with views out over the lagoon to the Indian Ocean. However, what made this holiday so wonderful was the staff, everyone we came into contact with was cheerful, helpful and focused on ensuring we had a good time.
