Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu

"An appropriately tropical vibe fills this 530-room property sprawling across 32 acres of blooms, tropical grass, stone cranes, and deities. Rooms have a casual glamour with Filipino touches of capiz shell, mother of pearl, coral, and sea shells. The best are in the Ocean Wing with dedicated pool (one of two here). An idyllic afternoon is one where you rent a pair of fins and drift with 160 species of aquatic life in the resort's Marine Sanctuary, from the electric-blue-fringed angel fish to the more diminutive wrasser. CHI, a secluded spa, incorporates traditional healing method treatments like a Mactan synergy scrub using sampaguita, the country’s national flower. With seven restaurants serving up Chinese to Italian, and hallmark zesty mangoes around the property, you won’t go hungry."

The hotel provides good daily activities, as well as free shuttle to local shopping malls. Staffs are all helpful and friendly - they are well trained to deal with busy environment, especially the restaurant staffs. ||I joined their free activities snorkel safari and the martial art class. The instructor Rick is full of energy and enthusiastic to his job. Highly recommended to join his class!||For the minor improvements: the hotel and the rooms show signs of tear and wear but won't affect the quality of your stay; And in the restaurants, the plates and cutlery sometimes have dirt on it... we saw this almost every day (not an one off incident). ||Overall, great hotel, good location, nice beach for snorkeling. Really relaxing!

The location is brilliant, with fantastic views of the beach. The grounds and pools are beautifully maintained and spotless. The breakfast buffet offers an excellent variety, and the staff — especially Monic, Arturo, and Dani — were absolutely outstanding. They even remembered our orders each day, and the chef made a lovely soup. Everyone was consistently friendly, helpful, and kind. The Dragon Boat team was energetic and super fun, bringing a great vibe to the beach!||However, there were some significant downsides. The yoga class was overcrowded and started late, with the instructor keeping it very easy as one guest was pregnant. The gym was old and outdated, with unreadable hand weights and limited space, especially in the early morning. Our room had an air conditioning leak that made it damp, and combined with plug sockets that kept tripping, this left my friend and me developing coughs and sore throats. The staff responded well, offering to move us to a suite (it was our last night), changing the sheets, providing a complimentary buffet dinner, and arranging free airport transportation — excellent service recovery. The aircon unit was very old and only worked intermittently, and the bath towels were quite small for a five-star hotel.||Overall, the staff, location, and activities like the Dragon Boat team made our stay enjoyable, but the aging facilities and room issues were a noticeable drawback.

We love Shangri-La and have always enjoyed our stays at your other branches. However, our recent experience at the Mactan branch could use some improvement. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with juice, and we appreciated that gesture. We also ordered food and requested water, which has never been an issue in other hotels. However, we were informed that service water is not available and that only bottled (tetra pack) water is served — at an extra charge. We also noticed that the lobby hallways were wet due to air-conditioning leaks, which could be a safety concern. The toilet in our rooms also had an unpleasant odor. Carpet also smells bad. Additionally, we requested to dock a yacht, and were told it required prior approval and a ₱5,000 fee, which seemed quite high. The staff promised to email the form right away, but we had to wait over five hours and follow up multiple times before it was finally sent. We truly love Shangri-La and hope these issues can be addressed so that the Mactan branch can match the excellent standards we’ve come to expect from your brand.

We had a fantastic stay! The staff were very approachable and accommodating. The hotel was truly kid- and family-friendly. We appreciated that they provided a playpen, high chair, and even a sterilizer in our room. We also loved the thoughtful activities for kids while waiting for food, as well as the complimentary daily activities. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely love to come back next time!

Shangri-La was a true pleasure after a long flight from the United States. Relaxing and peaceful with great views. All the staff are friendly and helpful, especially the team from the Ocean Club Lounge John, Melcy and Daryl!||The daily club breakfast does not have the vast assortment of options as the main hotel buffet, but more than makes up for it with the exclusive experience and attention. The evening adult-only cocktail hour is a great start to an evening. A big shout out and thank you to all the staff.

The Shangri-La Mactan staff redefined what true hospitality means. Thank you to Jhoy who helped us navigate in planning our destination wedding. She tirelessly helped curate our dream wedding! Everyone in their team gave their best with genuine care and smiles. As a bride, I was even provided a personal butler, Jade, who was the sweetest and most attentive person ever — she anticipated every need and made sure I could just enjoy my day stress-free. I felt pampered and cared for beyond words. Thank you for making our day unforgettable. 🌺✨

Long story ahead. LOL 10 days prior to our check-in dates, I requested from one of your reservations agent a birthday setup prepared in our room and I agreed to pay the 3,500 that was quoted to me. The request was confirmed. The plan was to surprise my wife when she enters the room. Sadly, when we went up to our room, there was none. I called the reservations department and reported it, calmly expressed my disappointment but also to make sure that I won't be charge with the fee for the said birthday setup request. Moments later, Duty Manager Annais Cagakit called us, she apologized on behalf of the hotel and about the situation. She generously compensated us with a complimentary dinner buffet for two at Tides restaurant which we gladly accepted and we were very grateful. Around sunset, an unfortunate thing happened. my right foot got punctured by a small but sharp grout that was protruding upwards at the door part of the bathroom floor. It wasn't visible by the naked eye because it was as same color as the floor. My wife immediately reported the incident to the hotel lobby because my foot was already bleeding. Not very alarming though, we just wanted to get some Betadine and some band aids. Hotel nurse immediately arrived after a few minutes and tended to my wound. Bleeding stopped. Then dinner time came. When me and my wife were enjoying the dinner buffet at Tides, Duty Manager Annais suddenly surprised my wife with a slice of cake with a birthday greeting and paired it with a bottle of wine. As though the complimentary dinner buffet wasn't enough already, she informed us that she also upgraded us to one of the Ocean Club rooms with complimentary use of the Ocean Club Lounge because she heard about the incident that happened to me in the bathroom in our room. At this point, we were already very impressed with Duty Manager Annais. To top it all off, she also booked us complimentary 1 hour massage at Chi The Spa and she extended our check out time until 7PM the next day, That gave us time to enjoy the complimentary massage, which was very relaxing I may say, and gave us a few hours to explore the entire hotel. All in all, we were extremely happy with our experience at Shangri-La Mactan Cebu and we're more than satisfied with Duty Manager Annais's exceptionally world-class customer service. She literally went above and beyond to make us feel special. Kudos to you Duty Manager Annais. We wish all hoteliers are as professional and exceptional as you!

We had a great time at Shangri-La Mactan — the place felt very safe, clean, and perfect for families! Our kids really enjoyed the Adventure and Toddler Zones, and the beach was beautiful and easy to walk around. Just a few things we hope can be improved: the TV didn’t have YouTube Kids, the bath soaps and shampoos weren’t that nice, and the complimentary coffee could be more flavorful — maybe Nespresso like other hotels. We also noticed that foreigners seemed to receive nicer treatment and gifts compared to Filipino guests, which felt a bit unfair. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with friendly staff and plenty of activities. With a few upgrades and more equal hospitality for everyone, it would truly be a five-star experience.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful. We stopped for some lunch and drinks, and were so happy we did. Staff was awesome, food was great, and drinks were made to perfection. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Yelp
Our friends and I had a day pass here during our trip to Cebu. I hope for our next Philippines trip we can save a couple days to do nothing and relax here in Shangri La Cebu. It reminds me of Aulani Resort in Oahu. There was a play pool area and slides for the kids. If you want snorkeling, as you step onto the private beach all the fishes are already swimming around your feet! It was just so amazing! We were able to use the amenities at the spa to just relax and wash up. We had lunch at Tea of Springs which is a Chinese restaurant that also serves Cantonese dim sum. I hope to visit again to splurge and relax here!

Yelp
Keeping it simple for what stood out to me: 1. Beautiful hotel and location at the tip of the island. 2. Nice walk outside that is not too long but not too short, including a little garden area and an interesting path that doesn't feel too ordinary. 3. The two pools are nice and the stairs lead down to the beach where there is a snorkeling area. 4. Service is good and what you would expect from a nice hotel. 5. Food at the dim sum restaurant (Tea of Spring) was very tasty. The little mushroom buns shaped like mushrooms were super cute and belong in an art museum.

Yelp
The breakfast buffet is delicious!! Everyone is so kind, especially at the lobby bar! I had an extended stay, so I had a few minor hiccups that were cared for timely and urgently. The WiFi is very reliable. The beach is peaceful and I love that it has sections. I really enjoyed feeding the fish and using snorkeling equipment to see the fish and habitat! This felt like a family oriented resort; perfect for relaxing and recharging.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. Rooms are beautiful, clean, and traditional, there are many entertaining activities throughout the resort, the food is on par in terms of taste, and most importantly, their staff are extremely friendly, talkative, and welcoming. By far, the nicest staff out of every hotel i've been to. Although our room had a sewage leak during our stay, they took care of the situation quickly, efficiently, and gave us a room upgrade. Shangri-la hotels are amazing, and this one exceeded my expectations. Would recommend.

Yelp
While vacationing in Cebu City, Philippines, this was by far THE BEST RESORT ON THE ISLAND!!! If you ever go to Cebu, staying at the Shangri-La is an EXPERIENCE! You MUST stay here! There are so many great things to say about this resort! From the time you pull up to the front entrance, you are greeted by the welcoming, friendly staff (even a princess for the kids). There is a security station set up, to protect the guests. The check-in process is super easy and quick, sipping on fresh juice, while you wait. After checking in, you can check out the AMAZING buffet. There was food from all over the world and the variety changed each day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of the staples remained, but the variety of the other items changed. Outside the main area of the resort, were multiple pools, surrounded by lush greenery. Also, a walkway led down to the private beach, where you could snorkel among the coral reefs and natural wildlife under the water. If you have a chance to do the guided snorkel safari there, it is WELL worth it and tons of fun! The guest rooms were extremely updated, modern and relaxing. Dark wood throughout with modern accents. The bedding felt like you were sleeping on air and there was so much space within the room even with the desk, tv/entertainment curio, sofa bed, chair, etc. Additionally, if you want a nice relaxing dinner or to hang out at a bar with great drinks, go to Cowrie Cove. What a great dining option, secluded toward the rear of the resort. Has an amazing restaurant as well as a great bar/lounge area. Great staff and got in with no reservations! Also at the resort is a nice fitness gym with sauna/steam room, spa, golf course and multiple other restaurants, lounges and bar areas. You never have to leave the resort if you choose not to and honestly, Shangri-La makes you not want to leave the resort. Truly wish I had more time during with my visit to the resort and enjoy it so much more! I am trying to figure out when I can get back to Shangri-La to enjoy it even more! If you go to Cebu City, this is the place you need to stay at!

Yelp
If you want a good and relaxed vacation in Cebu, Shangri-La Mactan is your answer. Not so great for a business trip, where you dont get to enjoy the facilities at its fullest. A spacious property with beach facing rooms. The property has a pool, kids recreation areas, Chapel, spa, organized activities that you can choose from their calendar, in-room dining, laundry service, gift shops and a gym. The breakfast buffet at Tides is amazing. A huge spread offering international food options. The fresh tropical fruits are my personal favorite. They have a wide variety of restaurants which offer different cuisines. I did not get to use the spa but have heard rave reviews of the treatments. The fully equipped gym on the first floor is great. Friendly staff who are always willing to help. The only downside is that the resort is always crowded and that delays the check in and check out process. You have to stand in line for close to 30 and 60 minutes to check in. Since this is a popular resort, pricing can range between $300 to $450 for a night's stay.

Yelp
Best resort I've stayed at in the Philippines. The snorkeling was still fun considering the storm damage. The room was a little outdated but the pools, buffet, service were all exquisite.

Yelp
Hands down five stars. What a wonderful (and too brief) of a stay in Mactan Island, Cebu. ROOM: The Shangri La hotel has figured out every single thing you may need or want while on vacation. The room was luxurious. I was impressed by the in room amenities provided. The room included a shower with a tub (which as we found out, was not standard in Asian countries). You may not spend too much time in your room given the fact that the resort has first class restaurants and activities. The bed was comfortable, like a cloud. Again, everything seemed well thought out and executed to perfection. RESTAURANT: We dined at their breakfast buffet, which we were told was included in our room package. There is inside and outside seating, but given the humidity and heat, we opted to sit inside. The food was phenomenal and offered a myriad selections to try. From breakfast pastries to entrees, everything was fantastic. I can't get over the wheatgrass smoothie that we had. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the donut tree they had. I opted for the fresh fruit. Service was wonderful. ACTIVITIES: One perk to the Shangri La is its beach and reefs just feet away. You can use your own snorkel, and if you wish, you can also rent a life vest for no charge if you aren't a strong swimmer. (They do not want you stepping on the coral.) The beach is separated with ropes and bouys, which show where the coral reefs are. There are a lot of fish and sea life to see, if you enjoy snorkeling. The pool was nice but nothing earth-shattering. For what it's worth, it was hard to flag someone down to order a drink, so we just went to the bar. TIPS: - You will need to go through a brief security sweep of your vehicle on arrival, as well as have your bags inspected via x-ray - The lobby is open air. Find a spot underneath a fan for the breeze. - Check out the daily activities posted around the resort. - Get some free fish food from the beach kiosk to feed the local reef fish. - Didn't bring your mask/snorkel/etc.? Rent one at the beach kiosk.

Yelp
If you want class, good food and great service and it's your first time in the Philippines, this would be a good place to start off with. Especially if you are worried about the other types of places and amenities. They do offer complimentary snorkeling sessions and provide the gear. They have two pools. Plenty of sections for kids to swim and there's even a playground. They have activities for kids as well. I'm from the US and also Filipino. This is the place I want to bring my in laws to kinda introduce them to the Philippines. From there island hopping and then tour south cebu. Then on their future trips try other resorts. Just so that they don't get turned off right away. I've brought friends here who are the Shangri-La type and the back packer type who are down to less classy places but more convenient to affordable water activities and bouncing around. Plus Shangri-La does have more food options if you are more inclined to sticking to more American food

Yelp
So we celebrated our 25th year anniversary here. family, my sister & her family, my brother and his family and my mom spent it with us here. We got 6 rooms in total! The resort might be a bit pricey.. but the rooms send amenities are excellent. You get your own rubber slippers that you can use. Just sad I didn't get to swim at all when we stayed there for 2 nights. But my hubby got to go snorkeling and my kids enjoyed the pool. I particularly love E-zone. A small recreational room that hosts a pool, hockey table, a ton of arcade games and the best one, karaoke. Its P100 / 5 songs. I got 10 songs. Lol. The kids totally loved it and so did I. Lol. The breakfast buffet that comes with your room is bountiful. Although, some of the foods, like the danggit didn't taste good. We likewise got a steamed bbq bun and the inside was still very cold. It would've been exceptional if everything tasted great. We got to use their little chapel for free where my husband and I renewed our vows. That was nice. In whole, it was a great getaway. Totally would recommend it .. hopefully we get better rates soon!

Yelp
Fun snorkeling, great for families. Easy to call for a jeep and venture off the resort a bit. There are staff everywhere, should you need anything. Plus, they are always smiling! You can also rent canoes and other beach equipment once there. Not the most adventurous place, but convenient if you're with a group, including kids.

Yelp
My husband and I booked a room here for the wedding of one of my closest friends. We were here for about 4 days and 3 nights. Everyday spent here was fantastic! As soon as we arrived, we were offered cold drinks to enjoy as we checked in. Our room was nice and cozy and had a beautiful view. If you want to see the Ocean every morning, highly recommend that you book a room on the Ocean side of the resort. There is a private beach here and also swimming pools. Make sure you take advantage of the free snorkeling (ask about this at the concierge)! There is also a snack bar near the beach where you can enjoy an afternoon snack with mango shakes. If you are lazy to leave the resort for food, there are many restaurants to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning. We would stay there for at least 2 hours just eating the delicious breakfast spread and drinking their freshly made smoothies. I suggest you book excursions with the resort because they will take care of EVERYTHING! I mean, it is pricey compared to the ones you can book yourself but, they quality of the service you will get is most definitely worth it!

Yelp
Security stationed at the driveway before you can drive through to the resort. They check out the vehicle inside and under. This resort was so ridiculous. It had everything. It's huge. And Wi-Fi works all over the property and that's pretty impressive in the Philippines. It had several restaurants. Two, of which, offered the breakfast buffet we had included with our room. The resort had activities and pools and even a 24 hour nurse available in the clinic. Enjoyed my stay and the staff was so accommodating. 5 stars

Yelp
My tour to Oslob to see the whale sharks fell through last minute so when I asked my cousin if there were any resorts that we could take a day pass to, her eyes lit up and she practically screamed with glee: "Shanri-La!" Shangri-La is considered THE top resort in Cebu and is known among locals as the spot where all the celebrities go when they want to get away. You don't have to tell me twice! We hopped in a cab and headed over to Lapu-Lapu City which apparently where a majority of resorts are located. As soon as we pulled up to the massive manicured lawns, I knew that we were in for a treat. We were promptly greeted by a hotel worker who showed us to the desk where we can get our day pass. Let me tell you -- it was not cheap. After doing some research now, I realize I could have spent almost two nights there and get access to all of the facilities rather than buy four passes for my family. It's not a good deal at all. It's also about 90% more than any other Cebu resort's day passes. But you live and you learn! The Day Pass gets you access to their international lunch buffet which is of Vegas like proportions. I'm not usually a fan of buffets but the quality was pretty high. There was sushi, crabs, Korean food, Filipino food, Southern Baby Back Ribs, Indian food, American classics, grilled fish and more! The dessert bar was also something else -- fresh fruit, and pastries to look like all the characters of Kung Fu Panda (be still my heart) as well as a halo-halo bar. Yum, Yum! Beware because drinks are not included in the price. Mimosas are 20 US dollars a pop (which we learned the hard way) but they also have some pretty good all you can drink wine / beer specials for about 750 pesos per person. After stuffing ourselves silly we checked out the beach which had water so clear you could see straight through the bottom. It's a bit rocky so I would recommend wearing some type of water shoes but between all those rocks are tons of fish of every color and variety imaginable. It was virtually a buffet of fish for the eyes. They will tickle your fingers and your toes and you don't even need snorkeling gear because the water is so clear! If diving is your thing, apparently if you go further out this is one of the best dive sites in Cebu. Their pools are also pretty massive if that's more of your thing and they have mini golf, tennis, badminton and other resort activities if you wish to partake. The Day Pass also gave access to their Spa steam room, sauna and jacuzzi which was nice. Overall I was impressed with the beautiful space, how kid friendly everything was (not like it mattered to me but if I had a spawn this is where I would take them), and the amazing customer service I received. That being said it's rather corporate feeling overall which isn't really my steez but many will find appealing. ALSO...it should be noted BEST FREE WIFI on all of the Philippine islands! I totally could upload and stream videos while I was snorkeling on the beach (which was totally clutch after 3 weeks of shitty WiFi).

Yelp
The Shang is top shelf especially in Cebu. Beautiful property, awe inspiring luxury in the lobby and all over the resort. Beach is beautiful with reef fish swimming all over. Rent a jet-ski if you like and zip all along the ocean. Beautiful pools all over the property and a really nice breakfast buffet which is the standard at the Shangri-La's. It's amazing, you'll love it here and not want to leave.
google avatar

Yelp
This is quite possibly the nicest hotel I've ever set foot in, regardless of the country. In fact, it strikes me a bit odd that I'd have to travel all the way to Cebu to experience that. Granted, they cater to the Filipino elite and tourists with money to burn, but I was still impressed considering the Philippines is considered a third-world country. I hope no one takes offense to that position, but I think that's where they're still ranked, if not, I will gladly stand corrected. Definitely a five-star facility! Owned by a company headquartered in Hong Kong with hotels thru-out Asia, they obviously know what they're doing. The Philippines as a whole, though, really know how to make one feel special, so it's no wonder you feel extra catered to in this place. It just oozes ambiance & class! The Buffet! Wow, where to begin? It must be an easy 20,000 square feet of buffet with absolutely everything you can imagine. They're aware of their clientele, so the food selection appeals to all. From a giant chocolate fountain to ice carvings to enhance the experience, they leave you wanting nothing! If you find yourself in Cebu, go there! Even if just to experience the buffet, you'll be impressed!

Yelp
This is probably one the nicest hotels I've stayed at in Cebu. I have a beautiful view in the ocean wing and a well-accommodated and spacious room. This hotel is such a great place to just relax and swim at the beach or the multiple pools. I believe there is also a water slide, gym and arcade. Also, the staff is very friendly and most will greet you when they see you. I've stayed at this hotel just a few years back and have had the same great experience. Staying here brings back many memories. Since then, the place has been renovated and new amenities have been added. I recommend checking in from 1-2pm. When we first checked in at 12, there were no rooms that were available yet. Luckily our wait was short!

Yelp
One of the best hotels in the Philippines, of that I'm sure. If you're in Cebu or planning a trip to Cebu and you're looking to have a fantastic stay at a hotel with great amenities which also has a ton of activities you can do without having to leave the facility, then you're probably looking for a hotel like Shangri-la Mactan. At a very young age I was already aware of the wonders that this hotel has to offer and the quality of the service and the hotel has been maintained and improved through the years. If you're not planning on staying there, you can also go around the place and eat since they have some pretty yummy things on the menu. If you're planning a romantic night, they have that special spot on the beach that you might want to look into. Whatever the reason, you'll have a great time here for sure! Check out their website and make sure you have your reservations before you go there!

Yelp
Beautiful landscaped gardens, friendly and helpful staffs makes shang a popular venue for locals and tourists. Expect several events going on at the same time like conferences, weddings, parties which really makes this place so busy and hopping. If you want peace and quiet on your vacation this isnt the place for you as we've experience. Throng of people at the restaurants, pool and beach isnt my scene. Service has been great for the most part at the restaurants, housekeeping and dive center. However the staffs at the bar near the beach makes it hard for you to order anything,no one comes around to get orders, had to get the lifeguard to hail a wait staff. Security is everywhere in the resort, they have K-9 units as well that patrol the perimeters of the resort as well at the entrance of the resort.

Yelp
The resort is beautiful. We went only for the brunch experience. Food is amazing featuring local dishes, international, Korean...the mango smoothie is spectacular. A little on the pricey side but still a must.

Yelp
If you're ever in Cebu, definitely consider staying here. It's pricer than other resorts, but trust me, it's worth the splurge. I've stayed a couple times and both times have stayed in their ocean club rooms. There are added benefits in staying in these rooms. 1) dedicated entrance and check-in/out process. 2) complimentary lounge -drinks and snacks throughout the day. Happy hour includes hors d'oeuvres and alcoholic beverages 3) free non motorized water sports 4) access into their day spa And of course staying in any of their rooms includes free breakfast. Their service all around is definitely top notch. Everyone is always courteous and helpful. You won't be disappointed staying here. You're wallet may be thinner when you leave, but it'll be money well spent.

Yelp
Excellence is hard to achieve in the Philippines, shangrila is the best hotel in cebu. Food is fabulously authentic in the Chinese restaurant (try the shaolongpao) the rooms in the renovated wing (ocean wing) are very comfortable, with detailed finishing and a view on the lush garden and the sea. The staff, specially at the front desk and in the restaurants are very helpful and full of attention. I go to shangri la several times in a year. This is for me a world apart, a place where we bring the kids, where we relax, forget about all worries. When you are in shangri-la, it is like a retreat, you don't want to go out for a drink, you could stay there forever. The only bad part is when it has to end!

Yelp
I booked this place because of the location. Very pretty scenery. My room was amazing and you feel like just staying longer due to the beautiful sceneries on this island. I will come back to vacation here whenever I can. This hotel have exceptional service too but again u paid for it. It is not cheap and with a good tip, your service can be exceptional.

Yelp
Everything was great, from the security in the front and in the hotel, to the wifi, to the staff, the food, and the amenities. Very impressed. Not to mention their marine life sanctuary is gorgeous. I will definitely come back!

Yelp
I've been in this place twice. I really love the accommodation. The place itself is very fantastic. The stuffs are very friendly. I was with my mental challenge student, the stuffs are very accommodating and helpful to him. The first we've been there was quite crowded at the lobby because of the non-stop arrival of tourists but they made sure that we will not be tired of waiting for they have drinks offered and seats.

Yelp
this is a great hotel but very picky on headcount. they even count at the pool with your group to make sure you haven't snuck people in. kids under 5 is free but under 11 is half price. overall everything is pretty nice and clean, especially the rooms.

Yelp
This place does not disappoint! It's a 5 star resort and lives up to it! My husband and I had a wonderful time eating here. Their buffet is no joke! Their service is quick and very courteous. We used their facilities and snorkeled around. Wow! It's a wonderful place to stay and explore! Definitely made my husband and I rethink our less expensive Airbnb. I would stay here if I were you!

Yelp
The Shangri-la hotel is great but this one star review is for the travel store located within the Shangri-la. It's sad that the hotel chose to do business with them. Long story short my fiancé and I went in to buy a few things for our trip. She tried on a few bathing suites, found one that she liked and asked them for it in XS. We left with our things and shortly realized they gave us a small and not an extra small. We walked back to the store to exchange it for the XS that she needed and they didn't have it in that size. We asked for a return and the store says the policy is no returns only exchange for store credit. Well that does no good because the store doesn't have the size we need in stock. After arguing the store policy and the fact that it isn't posted anywhere or on our receipt the managers of the hotel and the store were unwilling to help us out. So this one star review is for the travel club stealing our money for a mistake they made. Poor customer service from the store itself and the hotel staff.

Yelp
You think hotels are very welcoming to guests but not this one... Before I wanted to check in and spend my money I wanted to see the place ... I wanted to make sure it's what I wanted for my vacation. This hotel Does not allow any tours at all. Rude and arrogant. NOT very welcoming at all. Very disappointing. I absolutely don't care for this place or recommend it.
