Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore

I had really unpleasant experience for our stay at this hotel. First, sound protection around the walls and windows is not enough, so noisy outside sounds like kids’ shouting voices were always coming into the room until late at night. Second, there was an incredible long line to enter the breakfast restaurant so we could not have breakfast during the stay as we didn’t have enough time. It’s not suitable for the business usage at all. Third, there were no welcome fruits/items for Marriott Jade/Diamond guests. Lastly, the room was quite small so thought not worth paying over $600. We decided to move to Mandarin Oriental and it was definitely 5-star hotel service/hospitality which is completely opposite to this terrible hotel. As this was really unpleasant experience, I will no more stay at all of Shangri-la resorts and discontinue Jade/Diamond membership. I understand we should more carefully read the reputation before visiting but the number of kids and relatively limited restaurant/room spaces are far behind my expectation. I will be much more careful going forward when staying at Sentosa as there are so many kids. I strongly recommend you all to choose Mandarin Oriental or Capella if you’re afford to paying a little more. These hotels are worth paying for your money.

Check in was smooth and efficient. Room is clean and came with a thoughtful surprise birthday petals decoration on the bed and a complementary slice of delicious chocolate cake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very kids friendly setting. Breakfast and dinner buffet spread is fairly wide and tasty - comes with a kids section that has food that appeals to the kids. Pool is nicely warmed. Many activities at the beach to choose from. Smooth check out process as well

Nice charming hotel that has been on Sentosa a very long time. Breakfast and dinner spreads were great. Loved that they had a kids section for breakfast where kids can help themselves (with some supervision of course). They also have a good vegetarian menu for dinner. Rooms were very clean. Staff were lovely, especially in the restaurant. Many activities to keep the kids busy, especially in the pool area.

Ah, if you have kids, they are likely to love this place for the following reasons: ||- Pool has slides.|- Sprinkler section for kids.|- Pool organised activities: Water aerobics on trampolines in the pool, walk the floating plank for kids with ice cream rewards for every kid etc|- New craft sets for kids every day, you can do them at the craft space or take them to do in your room.|- Ball pit and indoor slides in the kids club (BRING SOCKS OR BUY ‘EM). |- Dedicated toddler play area with slides and balls and movable foam blocks, yoga balls etc|- Leave your kid to have fun with other kids in a space with great energy. Just make sure they have socks and a water bottle. Staff will call you when the kid is ready to be picked up. |- Free kayak and stand up paddleboard rental in a safe enclosed beach space! |- Peacocks and sometimes lizards wandering around.|- Dedicated breakfast area for younger kids with size appropriate serving stations for them to make their own food choices.|- Balloon twisting artists around the hotel making really cool balloon art for kids. |- Bathtub in room opens to the bed area so parents can see kids while they take baths. |- Pool has floats and balls for use. Towels of course.|- Hotel has shuttle to nearby Vivocity mall where there’s Toys R’ Us, plenty of dining options, outdoor wet and dry play area for kids and many shops for adults as well. |- Great pizza place 3 min walk from hotel. 7-11, Sentosa monorail and cable car station there as well to take you to other attractions like beaches, Universal Studios, Wax museum, aquarium etc||This hotel knows that when kids are cared for and happy, parents are happy and get rest. On the floor we stayed, not only was a hotel card required to use the elevator, a card was also used to access the glass doors leading to the corridor where room doors are. Security is top notch. ||All this makes parents want to return and we are sure to return in future.

Family of 3 stayed in a room on Level 10 (standard room). Good size room but in need of little modernization (shower over bath). But now onto the great parts…amazing staff, breakfast buffet is extraordinary with cuisines available and quality, pool is large and didn’t feel over crowded and pizza restaurant was lovely. Washing machine/dryer available and essential in hot climate - just ask for laundry card. However the convenience of location was great - free shuttle to VIVO shopping mall and MRT, cable car outside of hotel, free Sentosa island shuttle bus stop outside hotel too. So super quick and easy to get to and from resort world. Honestly couldn’t beat it! Would definitely stay again.

We chose this hotel for a weekend stay because of its many options to keep our kids busy. Our check-in was smooth, and the staff was very helpful, even giving our child a welcome gift and chocolates for our room—a sweet gesture that made us feel welcome. The hotel was a good choice in many ways. There are plenty of activities to keep children entertained, and our room was comfortable. In-room dining was also good. However, there were some significant downsides. The beach, while accessible, was not clean. This was disappointing as we were looking forward to some beach time. Additionally, the hotel was much more crowded than we expected. It was difficult to relax with the constant noise and bustle. The breakfast area was also extremely crowded, with long queues. While the selection available for breakfast was huge and varied, the experience was marred by the crowd. Overall, the hotel was just good enough to keep the kids occupied, but the crowded atmosphere and dirty beach were major drawbacks. If you're looking for a place to relax, this might not be the best option, but it's a decent choice if your primary goal is to entertain your children.

If Sentosa is "THE" place to go with kids, then Shangri-la Rasa is "THE" hotel to stay at. The hotel is extremely well equipped for kids. I stayed here with my son and one other couple who were also traveling with their son. ||Pluses - ||1. Well located at Sentosa. Going to RW or other activity centers is easy. There is a regular free shuttle right outside the hotel which runs every 15 minutes. ||2. The pool is amazing. They have a small pseudo water park for the kids in-house which was awesome. The fact that the pool operates till 10 PM is also amazing. ||3. The breakfast spread was lavish. ||4. The sea-view room we booked offered a great view of the entire sea from the balcony. ||5. Check-in, check-out was quick and easy.||6. They have so many activities for the kids that you can spend atleast 1 - 2 days inside the hotel without having to leave.||Minuses - ||1. Main minus point for me was that they charged for smallest things. For example, they charged even for a glass of milk I ordered for my kid whereas here in India children's food is literally completely free at luxury resorts.||2. At the time of checkin they should give better information about the ongoing activities at the hotel for the next couple of days. ||Not much to complain honestly. The experience was awesome. ||TIP - You can watch the entire length of Siloso beach from the hotel. There are tons of activities lined across the beach leading upto the point where Wings of Time, Luge, iFly etc. are located. Plan so that you can spend one full day on this stretch.

Perfect getaway with the kids for June Holidays! After news about flights mishap, we decided to just go back to staycations and it did not disappoint. Location is wonderful and staffs were so friendly. Luxury treatment and the kids were so happy.
