Beware before booking ! While this is a good all inclusive holiday for family at good value there a few things to note. - Service is very slow. Can wait up to an hour to hour and a half for lunch if ordering in a restaurant - All inclusive drinks can take up to 45min - 1hr to come out. Suggest ordering bottled drinks and waiting for them. - Rooms are tired for a Shangri La. Not what you’d expect from the name. They also got our rooms wrong on arrival which wasn’t fix for our stay (no compensation or even a sorry) - Beware the holding deposit. It’s been over three weeks and we’ve been in contact with a number of people at the resort and now just given up. Run up charges for the week put everything on the room and take it all out of your holding deposit. At least you will see the money again. Kids will love it here. But if you’re an experienced a seasoned traveller that expects a certain level of service for what you pay I strongly suggest going to another resort. The Intercontinental is simply amazing and worth the extra for an amazing family holiday - strongly suggest going here instead. You won’t be disappointed.

Nepolean the front desk man, was super energetic and amazing!! My first time in Fiji and I will say this resort is super helpful, kind, and respectful. They know how to have fun! In a great way :) will definitely be coming back, they had lots of stuff to do and were really understanding about lots of stuff! I definitely recommend for kids as well ! Horse back riding with Rico and John was amazing. They have great humor.

The best family holiday! A beautiful resort with the friendliest staff. Great pools & water activities - the inflatable water park is so much fun! Kids loved the reef, so much to explore. Kids club was a hit too. I was pleasantly surprised by the buffet (most times), the Asian restaurant was delicious. All inclusive package was fantastic. The spa was amazing! I can’t say enough good things. We will be back!

Incredible hotel for families and groups. Right on the coral coast, perfect location and mid year escape from the Aussie winter. The reef was fun to explore. The kids loved both pools and the inflatable water park. Can’t beat the friendly staff, their fantastic service and hours of entertainment they provided to our kids. Beautiful. Highly recommend!

We only came for a day visit, to have massage , we didn't have a room. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, thought they wasn't very sure if we could use facilities like spa. In the end we were aloud to stay, had massage which was amazing. And we had few drinks. We didn't use their pool as we were only visitors. It's very good spot for swimming and little to the left by the corals good place for snorkeling 🤿

First family holiday with our 1 year old. We had such an amazing time, the staff were so lovely and the hotel had everything you needed. It's a great place for families. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with lots of variety for everyone. Highly recommended! :)

Wonderful resort with something for everyone. The staff were lovely especially the people who cleaned our room. Lots of activities so you'll never be bored if you're not one to sit by the beach/pool all day. Beautiful landscape - clear waters, green rolling hills (go kayaking to fully immerse in the beauty of the lagoon). Rooms were spacious and clean. It's a little secluded but that's part of its charm. Food was ok.

I want to start by acknowledging how fortunate we are to travel from Australia, and I appreciate that most guests feel this way and were polite, friendly and respectful toward staff. I am sure there are clientelle who are rude but that was not my experience. That said, I was genuinely surprised by how rude some of the staff were — particularly some waitstaff and both bartenders at both Beach Bar and Bilo, who often appeared disinterested or unhappy, and made it feel as though making a drink was out of their remit. While some team members, like Lani at breakfast and the lovely lady at housekeeping, were lovely, overall service fell short of expectations.||This was my first time in Fiji, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet the 4.5-star standard advertised. I understand the relaxed “island time” pace, but food and drink wait times were excessive — planning an hour ahead felt necessary. I don’t blame the staff entirely; the real issue seems to lie with management. Staffing levels don’t match the resort’s capacity, and it's clearly a recurring problem based on other reviews.||I visited with my daughter after a major surgery for a special trip, and while she enjoyed it, from an adult’s perspective the experience was underwhelming. A crane operating right outside the bedrooms Yanuca Wing at 2:30 AM one night, beeping loudly and incessantly was the final straw — completely unacceptable. I had to call guests services and ask them to make it stop! I would say it would have woken many families and there was no prior warning of this happening from the hotel.||On a positive note, the food was great, the range of restaurants impressive, and the grounds beautiful. Beach was lovely and activities there were great! The pool activities leader brought great energy and made the main pool area fun. The rooms were comfortable but dated — not up to 4.5-star standards. They were as I expected though having read other reviews.||As a loyal Shangri-La guest and Golden Circle member, I’m disappointed to say I wouldn’t return to this resort. I'd rate it closer to 3.5 stars.
