Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji

We stayed at Shangri-La Fiji for a wedding and had an amazing experience. The resort had everything we needed, so there was no need to leave at all — great facilities, plenty of entertainment, and a really relaxing atmosphere. We were on a tight budget and were pleasantly surprised that we could comfortably stick to it while still enjoying everything the resort had to offer. A special mention to Napoleon, who was absolutely awesome — always friendly, very helpful, and constantly pointing us in the right direction. He really made our stay even better. Highly recommend Shangri-La Fiji, especially for weddings or special occasions.

My family and I just spent a a week at Shangri-La Resort, and it was amazing! The water activities alone are worth the trip – we spent hours snorkeling , kayaking around the bay, and even trying out parasailing and zip lining. There's something fun for every age. The food was absolutely amazing – from fresh seafood to international buffets with endless options. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly cordial and friendly – always smiling, quick to help, and genuinely interested in making our vacation perfect. From the front desk to the restaurant team and activity coordinators, they went above and beyond. Special shout out to Napoleon the greeter for making us feel welcome and, Ben and Jack from Hydrosport for making our first time parasailing a memorable experience.

I booked at Shang ri La Yanuca Island for my winter vacation. The resort was ok. Two of our rooms had water leaks from the ceiling. There were also bugs and ants in the rooms. The Manager upgraded us to the adults only side of resort but the room still had bugs. The resort was very family oriented. There was no entertainment for adults. Every activity cost extra. It was not worth paying for the all inclusive option because the only thing that was included was food and drinks. They really try to sell you on excursions outside the resort. The food service was very slow. Each dining experience took atleast 2 hours minimum. It tooks atleast 30 mins just to get a glass of water. There were also flys and birds picking at food at every single restaurant which was off putting. Overall, I would return to Fiji but would stay somewhere else. The best experience was the experience outside of the resort.

We recently stayed for five nights as family with two toddlers, and we can say honestly it was one of the most rejuvenating experience . The room that we stayed was a deluxe ocean view and the view were breathtaking ocean views. The room were cosy n modern . The service is where the resort truly shines. The Shanghai la Resort Fiji isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s an experience that Resets your soul . We left feeling more relaxed and my kids had blast of fun .

Shangri-La Hotel on Yanuca Island is located in a truly beautiful part of the world. The island itself is very peaceful and relaxing, which makes it a great place to unwind. There are many activities available, such as walking around the island, playing basketball or tennis, and enjoying the spa and massage services. The hotel also offers great restaurant options with good variety. The staff are warm, welcoming, and friendly. Napoleon deserves a special mention — he is an absolute star. He was wonderful, very friendly, and always made us feel welcome. However, we did have an issue on our first day. We saw a rat in our room, which was very frightening. My wife was extremely scared and had to stand on the sofa. I called reception four or five times asking for help, but no one came. After waiting for about an hour, we went to the reception ourselves, wearing pyjamas and robes. The shift manager handled the situation professionally, arranged another room for us, and even helped carry our luggage, which we appreciated. Overall, it is a great location with a lovely atmosphere, but the hotel itself is quite old and really needs proper refurbishment and better maintenance. Despite the issue, we still enjoyed our stay and the natural beauty of the island.

Just minor things, but took 4 calls to reception and 3 days to finally receive our complimentary wine. We never did receive the chocolates we were promised. Also we had to constantly remind room staff to give us our daily bottled water, which was important as resort bottled water was expensive to buy. The rooms are a bit tired too, with some pretty amateurish looking sealant work around the shower cubicle- it did leak a bit onto the floor. Overall though we had a great time and would definitely look at coming back.

I’m very bias towards this resort! Have grown up in Fiji calling this island nation my home. However, this resort is my absolute favourite place on the island. Visiting my home country after 10+ years showing my British partner my home. I had to stay here and show him the best part of the paradise. Clear blue sky meeting crystal blue ocean. Snorkelling here is amazing, with climate change there’s a lot of wildlife loss but still much better. Highly recommend Adult wing if you want to enjoy a more romantic atmosphere and HAPPY HOUR EVERY DAY (it’s unlimited two types of house cocktail) with a canapé! There’s golf courses, horse riding, shopping and beautiful restaurants plus the cultural events. A beautiful beach and amazing people. It was my partners first trip to Fiji but we are already making this our choice of stress free resort.

This is the best hotel that I have ever stayed in during my travels. It is world class. The facilities are top notch with rooms overlooking the bay, pool and beach where every tenant can view the activities from the comfort of their rooms and join in to make new friends and meet other visitors. Really enjoyed beach volleyball, swimming in the blue lagoon waters, the friendly staff and the fine foods provided it gave me and my wife an exceptional experience that will not be easily forgotten. Planning to return soon with my entire family to see and feel what a five star resort. truly is.
