Shannon Beach

Very pleasant park. Well maintained trails, multiple paths many of which lead down to the water. New bathroom facilities, and the beach is great in summer time. Lots of birds and other animals around, so be wary else your dog is liable to go bounding off.

I love it here so much. A refuge. Great for swimming. Definitely go during off peak hours if you can.

Great location for a picnic, walks and a quick dip on a hot summer day! Has a water fountain, restrooms and lots of benches. We have our annual staf bbq here, heads up just gas grills are allowed.

The water is warm, the beach is clean. The recommendation go early because the parking lot is small.

It’s a beach… seems like a cheap version tho haha you can still enjoy your time here!

SO MANY DOGS OFF LEASH. With ENTITLED humans behind them. …and a bunch of dead fish that sat there for like 5 days. So many people- bacteria skyrocketed in the water- loud music and charcoal grills everywhere - people parking in handicap spots - drinking and trash everywhere ZERO ENFORCEMENT

Nice facilities, small beach, lake water is temperate and seemed clean. Beautiful for a sunset evening at the beach

This is an awesome little spot. Really nice lake beach with lots of shade surrounded by a large park. Lots of parking. It gets busy on weekends, but I've never seen it too crowded. Recent renovations include an all new bathroom/shower, outdoor showers, and updated cosmetics all around. Even the sand seems new. Pro tips: 1. If you are squeamish about super slimy lake floors, be sure to bring water shoes. 2. On weekends you'll be dealing with tons of kids packed in a fairly small space. 3. Overflow parking across the street.
