SHANTEE HOUSE

It’s a wonderful place. It doesn’t even feel like a hostel — more like a hotel :) At the entrance, you’re welcomed by a lady named Bori. I actually thought she was the owner of the place, but she’s not. Honestly, I don’t know if even the owner would show as much care and attention as she does. She’s an amazing woman — you absolutely have to meet her! The hostel does have a few downsides and things that could be improved, but I personally didn’t mind them much. One issue is that it’s hard to find a nearby supermarket. Another is the limited food options — if you want to eat something, you need to go to the city center. As for things that could be improved, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so mosquito nets should be installed on all the windows. That would make the place even better. Also, the shower curtains are a bit too short 😅 On the plus side, it’s located in a very quiet and peaceful area. I haven’t stayed anywhere this calm and relaxing in a long time. I highly recommend it to everyone. Enjoy your stay!

The best hostel in Budapest, the owner is a super great guy, the room great, the beds super comfortable, all clean , the kitchen equipped with all the things, the garden is awesome for chill, relax and work and off course the volunteer crew always nice and helpful. Super value for money. I been there 7 times and will back for sure every time I will be in Budapest..

This place is amazing. I never thought, by going there, I would live so much things and meet so many good people. It's beautiful, it's relaxing and super clean. I highly recommend, ( to the team : thank you for your hardworking and kindness, take care of yourself)

Shantee House Hostel in Budapest is a true gem! The host is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel instantly at home. The place is spotless, with clean bathrooms and cozy, well-kept rooms. I absolutely adored staying here. It is a bit far from the city center, but it is incredibly easy to get to the center. The building and the rooms are beautiful. It always smells so nice and there is gentle water/nature sounds playing. The bathrooms, kitchen, rooms, everything were so clean and tidy. I wish I would've had an extra day in my trip, just to stay and relax at the hostel. I would 100% recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet/calm/relaxing place.

The owner nice. The manager lady sadly was a bit rough due I let my luggage overnight there after I agreed with the evening receptionist guy, it's fine to do so. I stayed several times in the hostel, no problem ever earlier. I suggest not to be put any stress on the guests and unfairly accusing them moreover if the intention was correct.Thank you.

Best hostel in Budapest!!A real home away from home.Highly recommend! Everything was perfect.The most complete hostel I've stayed in. 25 min walk to the river or 5 mins on tram. Definitely nothing wrong with the hostel so if you've a problem it's something else. Maybe those who share your room or something like that.Don't blame the hostel.

The place itself is very, very nice, big, at first it felt right at home. It is nicely organized, built and decorated, as well as equipped. ||The staff/main guy ( owner ) seemed extremely nice, but kicked us out for a minor inconvenience - me and my boyfriend had an argument, and unfortunately he screamed, not to sugarcoat, obviously it wasn’t following the “shantee namaste” etiquette, and we’ve tried in many, many ways to apologize but he kicked us out in the middle of the night (winter time) demanding that we pay more, and then, the owner kept calling me, at inappropriate times, being very aggressive, overall, i recommend if you are SILENT & spiritual, ( or have a lot of money ) otherwise, not really.
