SHANTEE HOUSE

This was one of the most welcoming and loving place i have ever had the pleasure to spend some time in. The rooms are clean, the kitchen area has free tea, coffee and other foods to have, and i really liked the decor. The outdoor has a nice sitting area, and the graden has a very calm vibe, my favourites were the wind chimes. The people there were super open, and loving, and for that one week i have spent there, i truly felt at home in a sense.

We spent a week here with twelve people in this wonderful place. The atmosphere was friendly, and everything was neat and well-organized throughout our stay. It was the perfect escape from our busy, work-filled lives. The accommodation itself was simply perfect – beautifully furnished, well-maintained, safe, quiet, and ideal for relaxation. We also made many new friends – greetings to Damaris and Patrick from here! The house had everything we could possibly need, and we’re truly grateful for that. We’ll definitely come back in the future! 💕

trust me, go there! i stayed in a lot of hostels in my life and this is one of the best! when you would like to have the experience how a hostel should be, go there 🤗 a big thank you to attila, marie, anna and bori… because of you shantee house felt like home 🥰 its super clean… dorms, kitchen, garden, terrace, showers, toiltes, common area, wifi, location - everything 10 out of 10!

We stayed at Shantee for a week with a twelve-member artist group and we had the loveliest experience. The vibe of the place was outstandingly calming and very welcoming. The backyard was our favourite place and we would definitely go back in the future! The other guests were really kind as well, I would highly recommend staying here for anyone who is open to meet like-minded people and for those who seeks a place to recharge alone as well, the place provides space for both. Thank you for the hospitality.

What an amazing little hostel. Definitely not a party hostel. I stayed just for a convenient night in the city and the place is so welcoming it makes me want to stay longer! Very cute, very well thought out with a homely feel and plants everywhere Highly recommend

We stayed two nights here and booked the yurt for two of us which was so spacious and could actually sleep 6! It was in the most tranquil little garden. The bathrooms and kitchen were always spotless. There were separate chopping boards for meat and veg. The shower was hot and good! There were tea and coffee making facilities. The tram was a 5 minute walk away. I couldn’t fault this place in any way! The owner was so relaxed and friendly and incredibly helpful in giving advice. I really didn’t want to leave! Well done to all involved, Shantee house is a wonderful place for travellers.

Genuinely one of the greatest hostels I have stayed in. I was so welcomed by the staff, and had booked a private room. It was spotless, comfortable, and very good value. However, its the community found there that makes it. There's several common spaces where it's easy to socialise. As a thirty something solo traveller I didn't feel out of place at all. Its close to a tram stop and very easily accessible to buda and pest, you can walk it too. Will recommend to my friends travelling to Budapest.
