Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The place is clean and comfortable, although it is starting to show its age. There are many newer hotels now that feel more modern, but this one still offers a good experience. The staff deserve special mention the hospitality is good, and the workers are very welcoming and friendly, which really adds to the stay. One small area for improvement is the reception. At times, it was hard to reach them by phone, and on a few occasions when they did answer, they didn’t have all the information and said they would call back, but the follow-up didn’t always happen. The food was definitely a highlight. The seafood was excellent, the Indian food was great, and the Shanti Burger is absolutely on fire (highly recommended). The nature around the hotel is beautiful, with lots of greenery and a very relaxing landscape that really adds to the atmosphere. Many people say there are a lot of bugs in Mauritius, but I personally didn’t see any inside the hotel. I did get a few mosquito bites, even though I didn’t actually see them, which is something to keep in mind. All in all, a nice stay with friendly service, beautiful surroundings, and great food, with just a few small areas that could be improved.

Our stay at Shanti Maurice was exceptional. The resort is serene and elegant, surrounded by beautifully maintained greenery, with impeccable cleanliness and a delicate, distinctive scent present throughout the property, enhancing the overall sense of calm. The room was spacious and refined, with thoughtful details such as bathrobes in different sizes and high-quality amenities, including for children. The atmosphere is calm, refined, and understated. The staff were outstanding: warm, attentive, and discreet. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. An ideal place for tranquility, elegance, and impeccable service. We would gladly return.

Hotel room - we stayed in a villa with a private pool, excellent with great views, however the jacuzzi was not working and they didn't really address the issue or compensate when it was brought to the employees at the start and end of the stay. Food - breakfast 10/10 Lunch 10/10 Dinner 8/10 Feet on the sands for dinner was an experience, a lot of food. However, the cook on the steak was not as requested. It was the first item we took of the grill to taste. We had an experience with lizard on the table and swapped to another one, hoping they could spray a detterant to avoid bugs crawling while having dinner. Positive experience with Starz and rumshed restaurant Bar was excellent, we were served nice cocktails and would recommend the person (Mr.V) who served us. Spa is definelty recommended. Yogesh did a good job overall with multiple types of treatments. Overall experience would've been good if they addressed or compensated for the Jacuzzi issue when it was brought to them. The maintenance was already aware of it, yet it wasn't mentioned upfront. For a 5 star hotel, I feel employees aren't empowered to make certain decisions and need management's involvement. They had 3 chances to make it right.

We stayed at this resort and spa for a few days at the end of our holidays in Mauritius, and it was the perfect place to unwind. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We were also lucky to join the sunset cocktail on our first evening, which was a beautiful start to our stay. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice and great quality. We also joined some of the activities, such as snorkeling and a Body Balance class, which added to the experience. In the evenings, we enjoyed the bar, the music, and on our last night we had a great dinner at the Rum Shed. I honestly cannot think of any negative points. The only thing to note is that our room was a short walk from the breakfast and dining areas, it didn’t bother us, but some guests might prefer being closer. Next time we might consider booking a villa or a beachfront suite for extra convenience.

Amazing experience overall! Excellent customer service by dedicated staff. Huge variety of delicious food and room was of very high standard. Icing on the cake was the wonderful spa treatment and expert advice by Dr. A. Tiwari and his team. Surely the best spa facilities in Mauritius by a mile. Will surely come back again

We stayed at Shanti Maurice and it was truly an unforgettable experience. I had originally booked the Junior Suite Beachfront, but upon arrival we were upgraded to a villa which was absolutely extraordinary. The room was unbelievably beautiful with a stunning private pool and jacuzzi, breathtaking ocean views and complete privacy. It exceeded every expectation. A special mention goes to our amazing butler, Mr. Amal. From the very first moment, he made us feel completely at home. His kindness, warmth and genuine care were something truly special. He guided us through every step of our stay, showing us around the hotel and being there whenever we needed anything, without ever feeling intrusive. His attention to detail and the way he anticipated our needs made our short stay feel deeply personal and memorable. His service really elevated our experience We had dinner at Rum Shed, where the food was fantastic. Ajali and Tejvan were very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely conversation and thanks to their suggestions, we tried the rum arrangé, which was incredible and they even shared a few tips so we can try making something similar at home. Kudos to the chefs at the Stars restaurant. The sushi and chicken biryani were both delicious. Every meal exceeded our expectations. Overall, the service from every staff member we encountered was exceptional, fast, attentive, and genuinely caring. And a special thank you to Niharika, who greeted us with enthusiasm upon our arrival. It was a truly memorable weekend and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
